Hi and welcome to the Drink of Jesus the DOJ (lol), “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” ^{John 4:13-14 ESV}

I am John Herron and I am the author of this blog a Drink of Jesus. I lived a life that has given me insight that allows me to share my relationship and all that I have learned about how awesome Jesus Christ is. I chose the name for this blog because it explains exactly what Jesus is, a drink of water that without it we cannot live. We all need water to survive, it is said that we can live for about 3 days not having a drink of water. I have learned that when I do not have the bible and the Holy Spirt as my guide my life becomes a mess. I know that is a statement that some will ridicule even say being a believer makes me “week minded”. I say that there is something bigger and if we could look past ourselves we would all see it. I have had experiences that would have made some walk away from Jesus and say “He is nothing, He causes more harm than Good, and so many more little sayings that I have heard. I can say that our Heavenly Father loves us more than anyone can imagine. I have been beaten in the name of Jesus, I have been told I was trash in the name of Jesus, I left the faith for 16 years because of the name of Jesus. The one thing that I learned through all of it was that none of that all of that “junk” had to do with the name of Jesus. Man’s interpretation of the “Name of Jesus” is what has caused so many hurts and misconceptions in the world that we live in today. We have 2 hour documentaries that explain away the bible from one sentence that was used, There are some that explain it away as a fairy-tail and sadly some that use it to feed an out of control ego. When we realize that there is more than the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit at work we gain the knowledge that a lot of us have been deceived, I was for a while. Do not take my word for it I implore you to jump into the bible, our owner’s manual, and read, study, and get to know exactly who Jesus is. It is there for us to use for direction in every aspect of our lives. This blog is setup to try and help you take the steps to get to know Him better then you ever have.
