Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned. In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber.
This is a warning that false teaching can spread quickly, appealing to desires rather than truth. When truth is compromised, God’s name is dishonored and people are exploited. This passage calls believers to discernment and courage. Do not follow what is popular, follow what is true. Guard your heart with Scripture, value integrity over comfort, and trust that God’s justice sees deception clearly and will not fail.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, protect me from deception and ground me in your truth. Help so that I do not believe everything that makes me feel good. Help me to always be able to discern what is truth and what is deceptive. In Jesus Name Amen.
