Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.
David invites God to search his heart, not to condemn him, but to lead him. Psalm 139:23–24 models courageous humility welcoming God’s examination and correction. When we ask God to reveal hidden sin or harmful ways, He does so with love. This prayer opens the door to transformation, repentance, and deeper intimacy. Dear Heavenly Father, protect me from deception and ground me in your truth. Help so that I do not believe everything that makes me feel good. Help me to always be able to discern what is truth and what is deceptive. In Jesus Name Amen.
