The Activities I can lose myself in.

What activities do you lose yourself in?

There are a few things that I lose myself in. They have been my go to things that I have done ever since I was a child. These are the thing sthat help keep me in a sound mind.

TO begin with, I have always been addicted to fishing. It does not matter what kind of fishing, from freshwater to saltwater. Bass fishing, Trout fishing, fly fishing and every other type of fishing that you could imagine. It has been one of my go to get aways.

Second, getting out in and spending time in my garage and tinkering with anything mechanical is another activity I use to clear my mind. Work on an old car, motorcycle, or snowmobile gives me extra piece of mind.

Third, spending time in the woods is meditative and mind clearing. It does not matter if I am going hunting, camping or hiking it is where I love to spend my time.

Finally, spending time time with my family completes the list of actives that I can lose myself in. Between all of these things they help me keep my sanity and always give me something to do.

I can’t believe he is still alive!

  • Snowmobile Accident
    • Hit a car head on at high speed
  • Electric Shock
    • Electrocuted be a high voltage heater
    • Electrocuted off of a power pole
  • Heatstroke
  • Multiple Sclerosis

There are more I could write a book and writing it down makes it seem made up and impossible. It is why I believe in God the way I do.

There are so many experiences in my life that have helped me grow.

  1. Moving on my own when I was younger
    • Taught me I did not know everything
  2. Getting Married
    • Taught me to look at more than myself
  3. Having a heat stroke
    • Taught me I was not invincible
  4. Getting Multiple Sclerosis
    • Taught me to appreciate life and God
  5. Having Children
    • Taught me that I could love more than I ever imagined
  6. Hitting a tree at 60 MPH and going through the wind shield
    • Made me appreciate God even more
  7. Having Teenagers
    • Taught me how to have grace

There are so many things that I have not even touched, but I can say that when we look throughout our lives and listen. We can see that God is in everything we do. No matter how good or bad He walks through it with us.

One of the hardest days was the day I had to bury my dad. He was old it was not a complete surprise, he had been having some medical issues and he was old.

When we lowered him into his resting spot it finally became a reality. That was twenty years ago, I was young, but every now and again I still find myself going to grab the phone to talk to him.

I would not want to be anyone else!

I built my house from the ground up and did everything myself. The second was restoring my 1970 Nova that I got after it had hit a guardrail, sadly that has been a while and I need to do it again. I had to pull the frame, replace quarter panels, fenders, hood, glass, basically the whole frontend. Custom paint it was a lot of fun. I drove it instead of parking it. The picture is AI because everything is buried in snow right now 😊

Some of the best advice I received was not to step in a mud puddle with crocs or sandals on because your feet will get wet!
