Armored up

Dear Heavenly Father, I have been learning more and more about You and all You want for me and the protection that is given. Lord I plead that I am not deceived; please show me the truth that has been given to me in the bible. Lord be my Guide giving me the Holy Spirit as my director so that I can discern between what is truth and what are deceptions. Lord I know that there are so many different view points of Your word, give me Your meaning and nothing else. In Jesus Name Amen

The best way to shut out these whispers that keep on coming through is to armor up, remember that the devil disguises himself as an angel of light: And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14 ESV I know this is repeating this point but it cannot be stressed enough! When reading the bible, our owner’s manual, it’s seen that satan even tried to deceive Jesus while He was being tempted: Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, “He will command his angels concerning you, and On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.” Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.” Matthew 4:5-7 Looking at this passage helps one realize the devil has no shame! I know that the devil has been glamorized, even made into the victim, on TV, when looking at that it kind of helps us grasp the concept that it is part of satins grater plan, the devil has had thousands of years to perfect his approach. ARMOR UP: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:10-20 ESV
