The wounds of a friend are faithful, although the kisses of an enemy are profuse.


Faithful friends love enough to speak hard truths. Wounds from honesty heal; kisses from flattery deceive. Proverbs 27:6 reminds us to value correction that protects our soul. Receive godly counsel with humility, and be the kind of friend whose love is honest, courageous, and rooted in truth—not comfort or fear.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, protect me from deception and ground me in your truth. Help so that I do not believe everything that makes me feel good. Help me to always be able to discern what is truth and what is deceptive. In Jesus Name Amen.
