Written by Therefore let’s also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him who has endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, that you don’t grow weary, fainting in your souls.
These verses calls us to run life’s race with endurance, laying aside every weight and sin that slows us down. We are not alone, others have gone before us, and their faith encourages us to keep going. Fix your eyes on Jesus, who endured the cross and never turned back. When you feel weary, remember His perseverance. Strength is found not in yourself, but in focusing on Him. Keep running faithfully, knowing the finish line is worth it.
