My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?

In this verse we see that David cries out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” a raw expression of deep anguish and spiritual loneliness. This verse captures the human experience of feeling abandoned in suffering, yet it is not a cry of lost faith, but of desperate trust. It prophetically points to Jesus on the cross, revealing that even in moments of silence, God’s presence and purpose remain, working beyond what we can see or feel.
