Psalm 37:23

Open Bible opened to Psalm 23 alongside previous Psalms pages with a lit candle on wooden surface

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

This verse reminds us that the steps of a righteous person are not left to chance, but are ordered and established by the Lord. Even when life feels uncertain or the path ahead is unclear, God is actively guiding, directing, and securing each step. This verse brings comfort in knowing that our journey is not random, it is intentional and known by Him. As we walk in obedience and trust, God not only leads us but delights in our path, finding joy in our faith and dependence on Him.

This verse is a powerful reminder that God sees and remembers every act of love and service done in His name. Even when your efforts go unnoticed by others, God’s justice ensures that nothing is overlooked or forgotten. This verse encourages believers to remain faithful, knowing their labor is meaningful and valued by Him. It speaks to those who feel weary or unseen, assuring them that God honors their perseverance. Daniel 3:17–18

Bible opened to the Book of Daniel with readable text

If it happens, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up.”

In these verses, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stand before the fiery furnace with unwavering faith. They boldly declare that God is able to deliver them, but even if He does not, they will not bow to the idol. This moment reveals true faith: not based on outcomes, but on trust in God’s character. Their courage shows that obedience is not conditional. Whether rescued or not, they choose loyalty over compromise, reminding us that real faith stands firm in both deliverance and uncertainty.

Luke 23:34

Bible Luke

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”

In this verse it demonstrates that even as He hangs on the cross, Jesus speaks words that defy human nature: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” In the midst of unimaginable pain and injustice, He chooses mercy over vengeance. This moment reveals the heart of Christ, grace extended even to His enemies. It reminds us that no sin is beyond forgiveness and challenges us to extend that same compassion, even when it feels impossible.

Bible open to John

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

In this verse, Jesus declares, “It is finished,” and gives up His spirit, marking the completion of His mission. These words were not of defeat, but of victory. Every prophecy fulfilled, every sin paid for, every barrier between God and humanity removed. In that moment, the work of redemption was fully accomplished. Jesus willingly laid down His life, demonstrating that salvation was not earned, but finished through His sacrifice, once and for all.

Psalms 22:1

bible psalms

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?

In this verse we see that David cries out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” a raw expression of deep anguish and spiritual loneliness. This verse captures the human experience of feeling abandoned in suffering, yet it is not a cry of lost faith, but of desperate trust. It prophetically points to Jesus on the cross, revealing that even in moments of silence, God’s presence and purpose remain, working beyond what we can see or feel.

Matthew 27:46

Bible opened to Matthew

About the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lima sabachthani?” That is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

In this verse, as Jesus hangs on the cross, He cries out, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”; echoing Book of Psalms 22:1. This moment reveals the depth of Jesus’ suffering, as He bears the weight of humanity’s sin and experiences separation from the Father. Yet it is not a cry of defeat, but fulfillment, pointing to prophecy and the cost of redemption. Even in anguish, Jesus directs us to Scripture, showing that God’s plan was unfolding, even in the darkest moment.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

In this verse, Paul triumphantly declares that death has lost its power through Jesus Christ: “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” What once brought fear and finality has been defeated by the resurrection. This verse is a bold reminder that for believers, death is no longer the end but a doorway to eternal life. Because of Christ, the sting of death is removed, and hope now stands where fear once ruled.

John 11:25

Bible open to John

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies.

In John 11:25, Jesus declares, “I am the resurrection and the life,” revealing His authority over both death and eternity. He said this to Martha before raising Lazarus, this moment shifts hope from a future event to a present Person. Jesus is not just offering life, He is life. This verse reminds us that faith in Him transcends physical death, promising eternal life and unshakable hope. Even in grief, His words anchor us in the truth that death is not the end for those who believe.

Open antique Bible on a wooden table showing The Gospel according to Luke Chapter 1.

“Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”

In Gospel of Luke 22:42, Jesus models the ultimate act of surrender, praying, “Not my will, but yours be done.” In a moment of deep anguish, He chooses obedience over comfort, trusting God’s perfect plan. This powerful verse teaches that true faith is found in yielding control, even when the path is painful or unclear. For believers seeking spiritual growth, surrendering to God’s will brings peace, strength, and purpose, reminding us that God’s plan is always greater than our own desires.

John 13:14

Bible open to John

If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.

In the Gospel of John verse 13:14, Jesus models radical humility by washing His disciples’ feet, an act reserved for the lowest servant. By doing this, He redefines leadership in the Kingdom of God as service, not status. Jesus calls His followers to imitate this example, showing that true greatness is found in humility, love, and selfless action. This powerful moment teaches us that Christian leadership is rooted in serving others, putting pride aside, and living out faith through everyday acts of compassion and obedience.

Luke 15:20

Bible Luke

“He arose and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and ran, fell on his neck, and kissed him.

In the Gospel of Luke verse 15:20, we see the heart of God being revealed through the father who runs to his returning son. Before his ever whispered a word of apology, compassion moves him to embrace, restore, and celebrate. This moment captures the essence of grace, forgiveness, and unconditional love. No matter how far someone has wandered, God is always watching, waiting, and ready to welcome them home. It’s a powerful picture of redemption, second chances, and the overwhelming mercy found in God’s presence.

Mark 14:6

Bible showing MARK, CHAPTER 1.

But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for me.

In the Gospel of Mark verse 14:6, Jesus defends a woman who anoints Him with expensive perfume, declaring, “She has done a beautiful thing to me.” While others criticized her for waste, Jesus recognized her act as sacrificial worship and preparation for His burial. This moment reveals that true devotion is not measured by everybody else’s opinion but by the heart behind what is being offered. It reminds us that honoring Christ with costly, sincere love is never wasted, it is seen, valued, and remembered by God.

James 1:19

Bible book of JAMES CHAPTER 1.

So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger;

In the Epistle of James verse 1:19, believers are called to live with intentional wisdom: be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. James 1:19 emphasizes emotional discipline and spiritual maturity, reminding us that reactive words can and at times lead to conflict, while patient listening invites understanding and peace. In our fast-paced world that is driven by opinions and outrage, this teaching offers a powerful blueprint for healthy relationships, godly communication, and Christ-centered living rooted in humility, self-control, and love.

In the Book of Ecclesiastes verse 3:1, we’re reminded that life moves in seasons, every moment has a divine purpose under heaven. 2 Peter 2:1-3

Stone monolith with ancient scripts, illustration of a man pointing at a wolf, and text: BEWARE FALSE PROPHETS.

But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction. Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned. In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber.

Peter warns that false teachers will arise among believers, quietly introducing destructive lies while appearing convincing. They exploit others with smooth words and twisted truth, driven by greed and self-interest rather than faithfulness to God. Though they may seem successful for a time, their judgment is certain. This passage calls believers to stay discerning, grounded in truth, and alert to teachings that distort the gospel for personal gain.

Matthew 25:21

Bible opened to Matthew

“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

This verse Jesus shares the Master’s joyful words to a faithful servant: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” This verse highlights the reward of stewardship, obedience, and faithfulness in both small and great responsibilities. It reminds us that God values consistency, trustworthiness, and a heart committed to Him. The promise of entering into the Master’s joy points to eternal reward and deep fellowship with God, encouraging believers to live with purpose, diligence, and an eternal perspective.

Proverbs 18:19

High-angle view of a sprawling ancient stone city surrounded by high walls and watchtowers.

A brother offended is more difficult than a fortified city. Disputes are like the bars of a fortress.

This verse reveals the deep pain and resistance that comes from broken relationships. When someone is wounded, especially by a close friend or family member, their heart can become like a fortified city, guarded and difficult to reach. Betrayal builds walls that are far harder to tear down than physical barriers. This verse reminds us to handle relationships with care, humility, and wisdom, because reconciliation is often much harder than prevention.

Attacked

Attacked

As we get rid of the “stuff” that is always #haunting us we will be attacked, our war is a #spiritualwar Ephesians 6:12 that is being fought for our souls. So when things are going good expect that there will be road blocks 2 Timothy 3:12.  Some get ticked off because of the attacks; can I give you some perspective? You are that important to God that the devil is attacking you trying to make you doubt what you are doing trying to make you think that you are not worth it or even making you think that you are doing it wrong.

What have you ever done that was worth something and was easy to do? Sit back smile and know that you are loved by God, you’ve been chosen John 15:16, you are being attacked by someone so consumed by jealousy he wants to destroy you, the devil is attacking you. The definition of Doubt:  a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction, questioning the truth, fear and being afraid. When you let all of that “junk” in do you think you will be able to see clearly? Remember when you feel like you are drowning look to your guide. The one that if you allow him will be your life preserver, the light to your path John 1:5.

Know that when you are in the thick of it we are reassured: If anyone stirs up strife, it is not from me; whoever stirs up strife with you shall fall because of you. Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals and produces a weapon for its purpose. I have also created the ravager to destroy; no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their indication from me, declares the Lord.” Isaiah 54:15-17 ESV

Impassable

Impassable road block

Has the “stuff” of the last 12 months made you feel like there has been an impassable barrier that is impossible to navigate? Have you convinced yourself that this barricade is something that you will never be able to traverse?  Do you realize that you have someone on your side that with a thought can calm the storm (Luke 8:22-25), with a thought can move a mountain (Mark 11:23) and  part the waters (Exodus 14:21) when you need to #moveforward?

Make the first move, know that you can do it you have a support system that has been granted to you through the power of God. Do not be afraid, fall on your knees and pray He is with you:  Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha 2 Kings 6:17 ESV. Do not try to go into this battle alone: For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me Psalm 18:39 ESV.

REMEMBER: I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 ESV  Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 ESV Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 ESV For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 ESV

Daily Bread

Breaking bread

Daily Bread Psalm 119:105

Daily Verse

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1 ESV

Christians who are well acquainted with the Scriptures, may, in humble dependence on Divine teaching, discern those who set forth doctrines according to the apostles, and those who contradict them.  Matthew Henrys Concise Commentary

There are so many views about the bible, Christ, God and how we should believe or not believe. This has so much to do with how our brains process those things that have happened in our live or throughout history; “psychology”. Those things that have happened in our lives will continually change the view for how we process things. It can be used to manipulate people into believing whatever they are trying to convince themselves and others to believe. There are so many different points of view in the world today; some do not even know that they are being influenced. If we understand what we are told in the bible: And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 NIV and remember Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 ESV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 NIV The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 When we really think about how the devil tries every way he can to deceive us than we can grasp how important it is to read and know the owner’s manual that God has given us. Daily Bread Psalm 119:105

Daily Verse

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 ESV

If the Lord the Spirit hath regenerated you, you can be no stranger to this holy warfare. You see then, where your strength lies. Not in tears, not in a brokenness of heart, not in repentance; yea, not in anything of your own, but in Christ. Robert Hawker

What is the fastest way to cause fear, anxiety, loneliness, confusion or any one of the feelings that cause some kind of emotional response? With confusion we are led head first into a storm of feelings that if fed will burn out of control like a wildfire. The devil is like a conductor in a symphony; he has had years to perfect how he guides those he controls and deceives. The devil likes to keep us distracted he’s been doing it since time began, all the way back to the garden of Eden. The devil likes to use things like; “yeah but (garden of Eden Genesis 3), if I (Job 1), if you (Matthew 4) whatever he can use to take your eye off of what is important the devil will use. Remember even the devil disguises himself as an angel of light 2 Corinthians 11:14 ESV When we realize that we understand how much, if we do not keep our eye on God, can be directed into this confusion storm that we put ourselves in.

Victory

Dear Heavenly Father, please show me the solution to the problems I am having that I do not understand. Give me the wisdom to recognize what I need to do so that I can change direction if needed or know if I need to stay on the path I am traveling. Thank you Lord for your guidance. In Jesus Name Amen

Sometimes when you are feeling like everything is falling apart but you just can’t figure out why. We must remember that we must depend on God for everything! For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable 1 Cor 15:50 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen?
