For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:3-4
Many believers become and are surprised when they encounter spiritual opposition, but if we read the Bible we can see that it clearly teaches that we are engaged in a spiritual battle. Our struggle is not ultimately against people, even though it feels that way, but against unseen spiritual forces that oppose God’s purposes. The good news is that God has not left His children defenseless. Through prayer, His Word, and the power of the Holy Spirit, we will become equipped to stand firm. Recognizing the reality of spiritual warfare helps us respond with faith rather than fear.

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, open my eyes and remove the scales and help me to understand the spiritual realities around me. Help me to always stand strong in Your power and not be overcome by fear. Teach me to trust Your victory each day. In Jesus Name Amen.
