But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God sent to be an atoning sacrifice through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God’s forbearance; to demonstrate his righteousness at this present time, that he might himself be just and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.

These verses reveal the heart of the gospel: righteousness comes from God, not human effort. Though all have sinned, God made a way through Jesus Christ. At the cross, justice and mercy meet, sin is judged, and sinners are justified by grace through faith. This passage invites humility and gratitude. We are not saved by what we do, but by trusting what Christ has done. Rest today in this truth: forgiveness is real, grace is sufficient, and your standing with God is secure through faith in Jesus.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, protect me from deception and ground me in your truth. Help so that I do not believe everything that makes me feel good. Help me to always be able to discern what is truth and what is deceptive. In Jesus Name Amen.
