By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
Love is proven by action, not intention. Jesus laid down His life, setting the standard for how we love others. 1 John 3:16 calls us beyond comfort into sacrifice. True love costs something, but it brings life, healing, and hope when we give ourselves for others.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, protect me from deception and ground me in your truth. Help so that I do not believe everything that makes me feel good. Help me to always be able to discern what is truth and what is deceptive. In Jesus Name Amen.
