Luke 23:34

Bible Luke

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”

In this verse it demonstrates that even as He hangs on the cross, Jesus speaks words that defy human nature: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” In the midst of unimaginable pain and injustice, He chooses mercy over vengeance. This moment reveals the heart of Christ, grace extended even to His enemies. It reminds us that no sin is beyond forgiveness and challenges us to extend that same compassion, even when it feels impossible.
