God Goes Before You

Person walking along a path toward a large cross during a misty golden sunrise.

When taking the next step you are never alone.

 Bible Verse:
And the Lord who is your leader, he himself will be with thee: he will not leave thee, nor forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8

When you are surrounded by all of the chaos, the noise and you never seem like you are getting a break. You need to understand you are never walking into the unknown alone. God goes before you, not behind, you are never walking into the unknown alone, He’s preparing the way and guarding your steps. You are never abandoned or forgotten. When fear whispers and the road feels unknown, trust His presence. Move forward in obedience and confidence, knowing the Lord Himself walks with you, faithful, unchanging, and strong enough to carry you through every challenge. Direction is not about fear of the future but confidence in God’s presence.

Thought to Ponder:
Pray before making any decision today.

Journal Prompt:
Where do I need to trust that God is already ahead of me?

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, remind me and show me You how you always go before me. Let me always see that you are the light in the darkness. Thank you Lord, I trust You. In Jesus Name Amen

The Servant King

A bearded man in a simple tunic kneels to wash the feet of another man.

Real leadership isn’t about power, it’s about serving like Jesus, even when it costs your pride. If you want to live out authentic Christian faith, start by lowering yourself and lifting others.

 Bible Verse:
“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.”John 13:14

Jesus, knowing His authority and His destiny, chose to serve. Jesus modeled radical humility by washing His disciples’ feet, even the one who would betray Him. This was an act reserved for the lowest servant. By doing this, He redefines leadership in the Kingdom of God as service, not status. This radical humility reveals the heart of God. True greatness is not found in power, but in service. As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect His character. This powerful moment teaches that Christian leadership is rooted in serving others, putting pride aside, and living out faith through everyday acts of compassion and obedience. Easter reminds us that love serves, even when it’s inconvenient or undeserved.

Thought to Ponder:
Serve someone today in a practical, humble way without expecting recognition.

Journal Prompt:
Who can I serve today, and what is holding me back from doing it?

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, teach me to have a servant’s heart like Yours. Show me how to lay down pride and love others selflessly. Teach me to serve with humility, grace, and compassion. In Jesus Name Amen

John 13:14

Bible open to John

If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.

In the Gospel of John verse 13:14, Jesus models radical humility by washing His disciples’ feet, an act reserved for the lowest servant. By doing this, He redefines leadership in the Kingdom of God as service, not status. Jesus calls His followers to imitate this example, showing that true greatness is found in humility, love, and selfless action. This powerful moment teaches us that Christian leadership is rooted in serving others, putting pride aside, and living out faith through everyday acts of compassion and obedience.

Luke 23:34

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” In this verse it demonstrates that even as He hangs on the cross, Jesus speaks words that defy human nature: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” In the midst of unimaginable pain and injustice, He chooses mercy…

John 19:30

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. In this verse, Jesus declares, “It is finished,” and gives up His spirit, marking the completion of His mission. These words were not of defeat, but of victory. Every prophecy fulfilled, every sin paid for,…

Psalms 22:1

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? In this verse we see that David cries out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” a raw expression of deep anguish and spiritual loneliness. This verse captures the…

Matthew 27:46

About the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lima sabachthani?” That is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” In this verse, as Jesus hangs on the cross, He cries out, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”; echoing Book of Psalms 22:1. This moment reveals the depth of Jesus’…

1 Corinthians 15:55

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? In this verse, Paul triumphantly declares that death has lost its power through Jesus Christ: “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” What once brought fear and finality has been defeated by the resurrection. This verse is a…

John 11:25

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. In John 11:25, Jesus declares, “I am the resurrection and the life,” revealing His authority over both death and eternity. He said this to Martha before raising Lazarus, this moment shifts hope from…

Peace Beyond Understanding; Help In the Dark

God offers peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances, it guards your heart and mind.  Bible Verse:And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends…

The Silence Is Deafening

The night is real, but it is temporary. In God’s timing, sorrow gives way to victory, and what felt like silence becomes the very space where faith is strengthened and morning is born.  Bible Verse: “Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” — Psalm 30:5 The day after the crucifixion was…

A Good Friday Introduction: The Weight of the Cross

The cross wasn’t the end, it was the moment everything changed. What looked like defeat on Good Friday became the greatest victory the world has ever known.  Bible Verse:So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those…
