Trusting God to Go Before You To Make Your Path Straight

When the path looks crooked and the way ahead unclear, remember the Lord goes before you. He will make the rough places smooth and keep your feet from slipping.


“For he shatters the doors of bronze and cuts in two the bars of iron.” Psalm 107:16

Focus:
When we are in the middle of it surrounded by opposition and chaos it does not mean God has withdrawn His care and guidance. We can see that He is inviting us to walk more closely in His righteousness rather than under our own power. Sometimes God asks us to walk toward something we cannot yet see clearly. The obstacles can look like mountains, locked doors, or barriers that we do not see a way to pass through it. Yet God promises, “I will go before you.” You may not know what is going to happen tomorrow, but you can be sure who is already there. Trust God with the road ahead no matter how ruff, uneven or rocky it can be. He can make a way where you see no way, open paths that appear impossible, and prepare pave the path ahead of you.

Journal Prompt:
 What obstacle do I need to place in God’s hands today? Write about what it would look like to ask God to lead you instead of relying on self-protection or your own wisdom.

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, lead me today, guide me through the chaos and direct me the ways you want me to go. Make Your way unmistakably straight before me. I release my path and day into Your hands. In Jesus Name Amen.
