The story of Lilith is not in the bible, it is not in the Hebrew bible, it is folklore from old Hebrew legend. I have read the information and they base a lot of it on perhaps and could be, old stories that people translated as being truth. They base it on Genesis 1:26-2726 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.), and Isaiah 34:14 (14 Desert creatures will meet with hyenas, and wild goats will bleat to each other; there the night creatures will also lie down and find for themselves places of rest. The night creatures in Hebrew says Lyliyth, it means screech owl) the story says that we were created as both man and women and we were separated after that (we were worms), Adam and her could not get along so God started over (That is to say that God makes mistakes). While another story claims that Lilith was Satan’s child, which then implies that Satan has the same power as God. To say that Lilith was the first woman is to say that that bible is not true and that it is no different than the story of Zeus, the Egyptian Sun God Ra or the Norse god of Thunder Thor. I know that there are a lot of specials on the Discovery Channel that will argue with what the bible says that people have changed the bible to fit their own agendas. In some cases history has shown that in the past people changed what it said to serve unjust agendas. However, they have now found papyrus manuscripts that support the translations that we read today to be as close to the originals as possible. Now to question what it says is to say the Holy Spirit is full of it. This is what it says in the Bible- 2 Timothy 3: 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (NIV) Now on the other hand it also says that we should question what say that it says, we should pray about and not take anyone’s opinion of what it should be (my opinion included). In the bible he tells us to be prepared so that we cannot be deceived 2 Peter 3: 17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. (NIV) AND in 2 Peter 1: 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
