Daily Verse

“Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.” ^{Luke 10:42 TPT}

The things of this life will be taken away from us, at the furthest, when we shall be taken away from them; but nothing shall separate from the love of Christ, and a part in that love. One day Jesus was at one of His followers houses Martha, she went through her house and made it presentable was she waiting on her guests so that everything was perfect; we all do this when we have company over. Could you imagine how much you’d do if you know that Jesus was stopping by. Mary, Martha’s sister, was there and sitting by Jesus listening to every word that He said. This irritated Martha that her sister would not even help her so much so that she interrupted Jesus and said “it’s not fair tell her to help me” (Luke 10:40 ESV) Jesus the good shepherd and teacher He is; did not rebuke Martha because she interrupted Him. He did not stand up and look at Mary yell at her and tell her to get up and help Martha. Instead He said, “Martha, my beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these many distractions? Are they really that important? Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.” ^{Luke 10:41-42 TPT} Sometimes the distractions, busyness, and the fear will keep us from seeing what Jesus is trying to tell us. With everything that is going on right now have you been distracted worried about things and allowing it to pull you away from those things that are important. Right now it sucks because of all that is going on, but this will pass. Have you taken the time to look at what is most important? Take some time and “sit at Jesus feet” His direction will never let you down .
