Daily Verse

When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall. ^{Psalm 27:2 ESV}

Adversaries: a person, group, or force that opposes or attacks; opponent; enemy; foe, a person, group, etc., that is an opponent in a contest; contestant, the Adversary, the devil; Satan.

Synonyms: antagonist, attacker, competitor, enemy, foe, rival

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the protection that You give me. Lord keep me from those who want to hurt me, from deceitfulness, dishonesty and treachery. For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. ^{Jude 1:4 ESV} His mouth is filled with cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue are mischief and iniquity. He sits in ambush in the villages; in hiding places he murders the innocent. His eyes stealthily watch for the helpless; he lurks in ambush like a lion in his thicket; he lurks that he may seize the poor; he seizes the poor when he draws him into his net. ^{Psalm 10:7-9 ESV} Help me to recognize these deceptions so that I do not get drawn in to a false sense of security. In Jesus Name Amen
