Last…..

Dear Heavenly Father, please give me Your unrelenting understanding and forgiveness You have for each one of us. Lord please help me to see people the way You see them, it is hard sometimes to love when it always feels like I am being persecuted. I will never be able to imagine the sacrifice that You did for me. In comparison to the heartache and suffering that You endured it does not seem like much, but Lord it makes it hard to share love when I look through these eyes. Please help me be empathetic to others while putting aside this unloving frame of mind helping me to see the good and not the bad. I never want to be nothing in Your eyes so I will love in all that I do. In Jesus Name Amen

Conforming to the World

When you become a new Christian you become a new creation because of the sacrifice and love given to you personally from the Father and your Lord Jesus Christ. Now that your eyes have been opened to things that you never have seen before, or just ignored, it will be difficult to walk the path that you used to walk. Consider what Jesus told us: I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 There will be those who accuse you of persecuting them and judging them, sometimes they will try to make you feel ashamed for the way you believe trying to make so there is doubt put in your mind. Be careful: Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 Sometimes this happens because they see things in their life that convicts them deep in their heart and if it makes you question yourself it will somehow vindicate what they are feeling. If this happens, sometimes it will come from your closest friends and family, it becomes tough to follow and easy to just give up because you feel like you are turning your back on those who you respect and love the most: Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Matthew 16:24 I know this seems, to some, like a ridiculous requirement but we need to always remember: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27 With that in mind you can see what it means when He says that we must deny ourselves. If we do not deny ourselves we are loving ourselves more then we are trusting and loving God. This then leads to doubt, mistrust, and being deceived.

 

Strength

Dear Heavenly Father, surround me with Your strength and teach me how to access Your strength and Might in me. Guide me in everything I do so I can face whatever is on the road in front of me. In Jesus Name Amen

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Ephesians 6:10

Dear Heavenly Father, please help me extinguish these hesitations, the doubt and mistrust that I have acquired throughout my life. These experiences have made me skeptical in most everything. Thank you Lord for the strength that You have given me to walk through everything that has made me this way. In Jesus Name Amen

 

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

It’s a Faith Thing

In the Dictionary Faith is quoted as: a strong belief or trust in someone or something

Through Faith God has given us a path to eternal life; it is all we need so we can get to know Jesus Christ on a personal level:  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life John 3:16. Another step is just to believe (have faith) If you believe, you will receive what you ask for when you pray Matthew 21:22 God sacrificed his one and only son to forgive us our sins so when you believe this without question He tells us: “What I’m about to tell you is true. You must have faith and not doubt. Matthew 21:21 This is all God asks of us so we can be one of his children.

Ecclesiastes 7:10 when I do this it says it is not from a place of wisdom it will be leaning on my own understanding. Instead you want me to place my faith in you know that: Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Did you know that the Old Testament in the bible contains enough prophesies about Jesus Christ that statistically it cannot be rationally explained without an overabundance of speculation? Over and over again in the Old Testament the prophets where instructed by God that the Messiah would come to be the King and be a sacrifice for our sins. We have been given this awesome opportunity to become part of His family, to be able to share the love and the protection that has been granted to us. He gave us free will to choose if we want to be with Him in heaven all you have to do is accept it. We will link together a number of these prophesies in the bible as we go. Always remember to read your bible so that you know that what is said here and anywhere else is from God and not from human input. Never believe what others say without testing their words we have been given a guide, the bible, that came from God Himself.

Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive my gossip, always wanting more and never being content with what You have given me. Lord forgive my hostile feelings toward other people, forgive me for putting everything above You Lord. You know all that I have done please mold me into what You want me to be. Did you know that God loves you, He is always there for you. God protects you and He has made you His temple! Have you every driven around your town and seen some of the old school churches? They are so beautiful, the craftsmanship that went into them is inconceivable. Think about when they where built, they did not have heavy equipment it was all done by the sweat off their brow. You can see the pride that they had to build these buildings. Lets think about what God did for us; He formed us with His own hands: Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. Genesis 2:7 and now we are told not only did He form us but we are made a temple that within this temple God himself dwells! We have been given such an awesome gift that all we can do is say thank you Lord and respect and nurture what He gave us.

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for Your direction and this gift, I do not feel like I should be worthy to receive such an awesome gift as the Holy Spirit. Lord You are always there to support and protect me who could ask for anything more? In Jesus Name Amen
