“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say?
This verse confronts the gap between words and obedience. Calling Jesus “Lord” means surrendering our will to His. True discipleship shows up in daily choices, not religious language. This verse invites honest reflection: are we listening and doing? When obedience flows from love, faith becomes visible. Build your life on Christ’s words, and let actions confirm allegiance—steady, humble, and faithful even when it’s costly.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, protect me from deception and ground me in your truth. Help so that I do not believe everything that makes me feel good. Help me to always be able to discern what is truth and what is deceptive. In Jesus Name Amen.

That we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error
This is a warning against spiritual immaturity that leaves believers tossed by trends and deceptive teaching. God desires stability, not confusion. Growing in truth anchors our faith and guards our hearts. Stay rooted in Scripture, grounded in Christ, and discerning in what you believe. As maturity deepens, faith becomes steady, wisdom sharpens, and lives reflect confidence rather than confusion, standing firm amid shifting voices.

God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds. His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much better than the angels as the more excellent name he has inherited is better than theirs.
We see here that these verses declare that God has spoken fully through His Son. Jesus is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact imprint of His nature. He sustains all things and has secured our purification from sin. When uncertainty surrounds us, fix your eyes on Christ. He is God’s final word, authoritative, powerful, and sufficient, calling us to listen, trust, and worship with confidence and awe.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created in the heavens and on the earth, visible things and invisible things, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things have been created through him and for him.He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.
He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence. For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him,and through him to reconcile all things to himself by him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.
These verses lift our eyes to the supremacy of Christ. Jesus is not only Savior but Creator, Sustainer, and Reconciler of all things. Everything holds together in Him, and through His cross, peace is made. When life feels chaotic or divided, remember who is in control. Center your faith, worship, and obedience on Christ alone, the One who reigns over creation and restores what is broken.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it.
There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came as a witness, that he might testify about the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but was sent that he might testify about the light. The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own, and those who were his own didn’t receive him. But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name:
who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.The Word became flesh and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only born Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.
This passage reveals the miracle of God stepping into our world. Jesus, the eternal Word, became flesh to bring light into darkness. He was not distant, but present, full of grace and truth. Though many rejected Him, all who receive Him are made children of God. Let this truth deepen your wonder, strengthen your faith, and inspire gratitude. God came near so we could truly know Him and live in His light.

Whoever loves correction loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.
The Bible teaches teaches that loving discipline is a sign of wisdom, not weakness. Correction can sting, but it shapes character and protects us from greater harm. Those who reject instruction close the door to growth. A humble heart welcomes guidance, knowing God often uses others to refine us. When we embrace correction, we choose maturity over pride and allow God to form us into people who walk wisely and live well.

So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
Jesus exposes the danger of outward righteousness that hides inward corruption. Matthew 23:28 warns that religious appearance can mask hearts far from God. True faith is not about impressing others, but being transformed within. Ask God to cleanse motives, not just behavior. Let integrity replaces performance, humility replaces hypocrisy, and obedience flows from a heart genuinely surrendered to Him. These were the divisions of the descendants of Aaron. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father did, and they had no sons; so Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests.
3 With the help of Eleazar’s descendant Zadok and Ithamar’s descendant Ahimelech, David divided them according to the offices of their service. 4 Since more leaders were found among Eleazar’s descendants than those of Ithamar, they were divided accordingly. There were sixteen heads of families from the descendants of Eleazar and eight from the descendants of Ithamar.
5 Thus they were divided by lot, for there were officers of the sanctuary and officers of God among both Eleazar’s and Ithamar’s descendants.
6 The scribe, Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded their names in the presence of the king and of the officers: Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the heads of families of the priests and the Levites—one family being taken from Eleazar, and then one from Ithamar.
7 The first lot fell to Jehoiarib,
the second to Jedaiah,
8 the third to Harim,
the fourth to Seorim,
9 the fifth to Malchijah,
the sixth to Mijamin,
10 the seventh to Hakkoz,
the eighth to Abijah,
11 the ninth to Jeshua,
the tenth to Shecaniah,
12 the eleventh to Eliashib,
the twelfth to Jakim,
13 the thirteenth to Huppah,
the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,
14 the fifteenth to Bilgah,
the sixteenth to Immer,
15 the seventeenth to Hezir,
the eighteenth to Happizzez,
16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah,
the twentieth to Jehezkel,
17 the twenty-first to Jachin,
the twenty-second to Gamul,
18 the twenty-third to Delaiah,
and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
19 This was their appointed order for service when they entered the house of the LORD, according to the regulations prescribed for them by their forefather Aaron, as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times. Micah 5:2 WEB
Micah 5:2 is a verse from the Old Testament Book of Micah which was written by the prophet Micah. Micah lived in the 8th century B.C. and would minister to people during the hard times of that era. In this verse Micah prophesied that a ruler would come out of Bethlehem. He suggested that this ruler would be from “ancient times.” This verse implies the significance of the birth of a baby in the manger cited by the Wise men in Matthew 2.

Ephesians 6:11 is a verse in the Bible that reads, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” This verse is part of a larger passage in which the apostle Paul is writing to the church in Ephesus, instructing them on how to live as Christians in a world that is often hostile to their faith.
In this verse, Paul is telling the believers in Ephesus to put on the “whole armor of God.” This phrase is metaphorically referring to the various spiritual practices and disciplines that enable believers to stand firm in their faith and resist temptation. The armor of God includes things like the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, and the helmet of salvation.
The purpose of this armor is to help believers “stand against the schemes of the devil.” The devil is a term used in the Bible to refer to the spiritual forces of evil that seek to oppose God and deceive and tempt people away from following Him. These schemes can take many forms, such as temptation, persecution, and deception, but the armor of God gives believers the strength and protection they need to resist them.
One thing to note about this verse is that it does not imply that believers are in a constant state of warfare with the devil. Instead, it is meant to be a reminder that believers will encounter spiritual challenges and temptations in their lives and need to be prepared to stand against them. “Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it. How the gate is narrow and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are who find it.Matthew 7:13-14 WEB
Another important aspect of this verse is the idea of putting on the whole armor of God. This means that believers should not pick and choose which parts of their faith they want to embrace and which they want to ignore. Instead, they should fully embrace all aspects of their faith and be diligent in their spiritual practices and disciplines. Preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching. For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts, and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn away to fables. But you be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill your ministry. 2 Timothy 4:2-5 WEB
Something to think about with this verse is in terms of building a strong foundation for one’s faith. Just as a house needs a strong foundation to stand firm against the elements, believers need a strong foundation in their faith to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. This foundation is built through prayer, reading and studying the Bible, participating in fellowship with other believers, and serving others in the name of Christ. “Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell—and its fall was great.” Matthew 7:24-27 WEB
In conclusion, Ephesians 6:11 is a reminder to believers that they will face spiritual challenges and temptations in their lives and need to be prepared to stand against them. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 2 Timothy 3:12-13 WEB The armor of God gives believers the strength and protection they need to resist these schemes and live faithfully as followers of Christ. It is important for believers to fully embrace all aspects of their faith and build a strong foundation in their spiritual practices and disciplines.

As the New Year approaches, we find ourselves reflecting on the past year and setting goals for the year ahead. For Christians, this can also be a time to consider what the Bible has to say about the New Year and how we can approach it in a way that is pleasing to God.
The Bible does not specifically mention the New Year as we know it today, as the concept of a new year beginning on January 1st is a tradition that dates back to the ancient Romans. However, the Bible does speak about the importance of new beginnings and the hope that comes with them.
In the Old Testament, the Israelites celebrated the new year with the festival of Rosh Hashanah, (Numbers 29:1-6) which marked the beginning of the civil year. Rosh Hashanah is still celebrated by Jewish people today, and it is a time of reflection and repentance. The festival is seen as a time to start anew and make right any wrongs that have been committed in the past.
The New Testament also emphasizes the importance of new beginnings. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, Paul writes, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” This verse highlights the transformative power of faith in Jesus, who offers us the opportunity to start anew and become a new creation.
As Christians, the New Year can be a time for us to rededicate ourselves to following Jesus and living out our faith. This might involve setting spiritual goals, such as reading the Bible more, praying more consistently, or getting more involved in a church community. 2 Chronicles 7:14
The New Year can also be a time to focus on becoming more like Jesus in our everyday lives. This might involve working on becoming more patient, kind, or selfless. It could also involve serving others and showing God’s love to those around us. John 13:15, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Titus 2:12
In addition to setting spiritual goals, the New Year can also be a time to set personal goals related to our health, relationships, careers, or other areas of life. The Bible encourages us to work towards becoming the best version of ourselves, Colossians 3:9-10, and setting goals can be a helpful way to do this.
However, it’s important to remember that our ultimate goal should be to glorify God, not just to achieve personal success or happiness. Colossians 3:23-24 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
As we approach the New Year, it can be helpful to spend time in prayer, asking God to guide us as we set goals and make plans for the year ahead. We can also ask for His strength and wisdom as we strive to follow Him and live out our faith.
The New Year is a time of hope and new beginnings, and as Christians, we can approach it with a sense of excitement and anticipation, knowing that God is with us and has a plan for our lives. Jeremiah 29:11 Let’s start the New Year off right by seeking God’s guidance and working towards becoming the best versions of ourselves, all for His glory.
Dear Heavenly Father, guide me through this new year helping me to always consider what You want. Guide every step I take, every thought I have, and every path I choose. In Jesus Name Amen

But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you. For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night. For when they are saying, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape. But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief. You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness, so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night. But since we belong to the day, let’s be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God didn’t appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do. 1 Thessalonians 5:1:11 WEB
So with everything that’s going on right now we look around and sometimes it makes us doubt that God has control of everything that’s going on. We’ve been told in the Bible that the devil was given control over this world, 2 Corinthians 4:4, likewise we were given free will to choose which way we are going to do, Joshua 24:15. As we look around we see governments that are controlling people and they’re oppressing their people.
We see friends and family that are divided against each other. When we look at it the one thing that we need to remember is no matter what happens inevitably those institutions that are above us, government, state leaders, you name it will always look out for themselves. No matter how bad it seems we need to always make sure that we’re looking out for each other. Those around us, our family, our friends, you know the ones that we’ve always known and that have always known us.
With that statement we need to remember the following Bible verses from Psalms: You have rebuked the nations. You have destroyed the wicked. You have blotted out their name forever and ever. The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin. The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished. But Yahweh reigns forever. He has prepared his throne for judgment. He will judge the world in righteousness. He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness. Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble. Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:5-10 WEB
Right now it’s so important to pay attention. Our morals are being questioned, our children are being attacked, and we are being told that we’re the ones that aren’t good. We have been told in the Bible that there will be a time were evil is good and good as evil, Isaiah 5:20. We are told that if we don’t agree with everything that’s going on within the world right now that we’re the ones that are evil. We are told that Jesus Christ himself would’ve supported all of the evil that we have surrounding us right now.
Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you. Revelation 3:3 ESV
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58 WEB
Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. Revelation 2:5 ESV
If you read the Bible you’ll know that that view point is completely wrong, it is not what God told us. In fact the New Testament in some aspects holds us even more accountable than it ever has before. In the Old Testament we were given the 10 Commandments in the New Testament they added more to it, now if we even look at somebody the wrong way we have committed a sin. This is why it is so important to know exactly what the Bible says and not what somebody thinks the Bible says. It is so important right now to make sure that you’re reading the Bible and knowing exactly what it says I cannot say that enough. We have to pay attention right now more than ever before, Romans 13:11-12, we need to make sure we know exactly what God wants us to do. There are so many things that surround us right now that will make us doubt exactly what he said if we don’t know what the Bible says.
“Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also. You know where I go, and you know the way.” John 14:1-4 WEB
When everything seems like it is going wrong as human beings we tend to look for things to comfort us that aren’t always our best decisions of comfort. Sometimes we will look to the wrong people for comfort. Some of us will look to drugs, alcohol, and relationships. Some of these things are real bad for us, mentally and health wise. Sometimes the wrong people will tell us what we want to hear and not what we should hear. Sometimes they do it out of the best of intentions because they want you to feel better because they’re good friends.
But that doesn’t always mean it’s right, or what God wants you to do. I by no means I’m sitting here pointing the finger and saying I am better than anybody else. I’ve done the drugs, I’ve drank the alcohol, I’ve tried to find comfort in friends that weren’t appropriate. Sometimes it makes me wonder why God forgives me or has taken care of me as much as He has. I have a Multiple Sclerosis.
The MS has been a learning experience, I was deaf, blind, and couldn’t walk for a while; God’s taken me through all of this. You would think that that would cement a relationship with God, it has, but there are days I still question it. I still think I can do it better even though He has done so much for me. It’s human nature, not an excuse and not the best but it is part of what makes us human. God tells us over and over again to not to be afraid, not to be anxious, and to always depend on Him.
But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient. Matthew 6:33-34 WEB
When looking around we can see all of the misinformation, the oppression, and any other bad choice that seems to make us doubt. We need to remember the things that we’ve been told in the Old Testament and how His people were treated throughout history. What’s going on right now is not new, human beings seem to repeat themselves and do the same thing over and over and over again. Something I say a lot is that 2000 years ago they were riding in chariots, today we’re driving SUV’s but we’re still dealing with the same issues we have always done. This is why it’s so important to understand the Bible verse that is next don’t forget so you don’t repeat:
Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ Isaiah 46:9-10 ESV

Hey Psalm 119:33-40
Remember your word to your servant, because you gave me hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, for your word has revived me. The arrogant mock me excessively, but I don’t swerve from your law. I remember your ordinances of old, Yahweh, and have comforted myself. Indignation has taken hold on me, because of the wicked who forsake your law. Your statutes have been my songs in the house where I live. I have remembered your name, Yahweh, in the night, and I obey your law. This is my way, that I keep your precepts. Psalm 119:49-56 WEB
Remember what you said to me, your servant I hang on to these words for dear life! These words hold me up in bad times; yes, your promises rejuvenate me. The haters hate me without mercy, but I don’t budge from your revelation. I watch for your ancient landmark words, and know I’m on the right track. But when I see the wicked ignore your directions, I’m beside myself with anger. I set your instructions to music and sing them as I walk this pilgrim way. I meditate on your name all night, God, treasuring your revelation, O God. Still, I walk through a rain of derision because I live by your Word and counsel. Psalm 119:49-56 Message
Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law. I remembered thy judgments of old, O Lord; and have comforted myself. Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law. Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage. I have remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and have kept thy law. This I had, because I kept thy precepts. Psalm 119:49-56 KJV

Hey Psalm 119:33-40
Let your loving kindness also come to me, Yahweh, your salvation, according to your word. So I will have an answer for him who reproaches me, for I trust in your word. Don’t snatch the word of truth out of my mouth, for I put my hope in your ordinances. So I will obey your law continually, forever and ever. I will walk in liberty, for I have sought your precepts. I will also speak of your statutes before kings, and will not be disappointed. I will delight myself in your commandments, because I love them. I reach out my hands for your commandments, which I love. I will meditate on your statutes. Psalm 119:41-48 WEB
Let your love, God, shape my life with salvation, exactly as you promised; Then I’ll be able to stand up to mockery because I trusted your Word. Don’t ever deprive me of truth, not ever your commandments are what I depend on. Oh, I’ll guard with my life what you’ve revealed to me, guard it now, guard it ever; And I’ll stride freely through wide open spaces as I look for your truth and your wisdom; Then I’ll tell the world what I find, speak out boldly in public, unembarrassed. I cherish your commandments oh, how I love them! relishing every fragment of your counsel. Psalm 119:41-48 Message
Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation, according to thy word. So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word. I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed. And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes. Psalm 119:41-48 KJV

You can use scripture itself, reading it outloud as a prayer to God. You will be doing double duty not only will you be praying but you’ll be reading his word. When you’re reading his word like this over and over again you are learning it, you’re gaining that relationship with God that he desires.

Thankfulness seems to be a lost art today. Warren Wiersby illustrated this problem in his commentary on Colossians. He told about a ministerial student in Evanston, Illinois, who was part of a life-saving squad. In 1860, a ship went aground on the shore of Lake Michigan near Evanston, and Edward Spencer waded again and again into the frigid waters to rescue 17 passengers. In the process, his health was permanently damaged. Some years later at his funeral, it was noted that not one of the people he rescued ever thanked him.
Our Daily Bread, February 20, 1994
One of the most forgotten complements that we can give is a simple thank you. Think about how much you appreciate it when someone thanks you. Look back and reflet on how much God has done for you. He gives us peace, love, and direction. He is our light in the dark when we need it the most. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you. Thank you for all that You do for me. You give me strength when I feel to weak to go on. You give me light when it seems to Dark to see any way out. In Jesus Name Amen

We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. John 9:4 ESV Have you ever considered this statement/Bible verse? Jesus told us that we’re supposed to work the work of our Heavenly Father,. If we’re not working and doing what we can to complete the great commission. Are we truly doing what we’ve been told to do.
The great commission tells us that we are supposed to spread the word through the entire world. But if we’re not reading the Bible, if we’re not sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, how are we doing what He told us He wanted us to do. So as we’re going into another Christmas, Jesus Christ birthday, we know that we’re one year closer to either Jesus Christ returning to Earth or another birthday. Every birthday we have draws us closer to the end of our life. There are some that say that we should never celebrate birthdays, we should not celebrate Christmas because it’s looking back on the past. However, that is opposite of what we’re told to do in the Bible.
You can see this in the Bible verse that follows: So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12 ESV So if we number our days and we grow our wisdom but we’re not doing what we were told, spreading the word, are we truly gaining wisdom for God or are we selfishly just gaining wisdom for ourselves. This is why it’s so important to celebrate our birthdays and celebrating Jesus’s birthday on Christmas, the true meaning of the day.
A lot of people say that Christmas is not actually anything having to do with Jesus Christ himself. They’ll say Christmas was created to disguise the satanic rituals and pagan holidays of the past. There are a lot of these celebrations from the past that they claim were used to continue to celebrate and cover up and being disguised as Christmas. When studying these “holidays” they had nothing to do with Christmas or Christ. These celebrations had to do with the gods of the past like Saturn and others that people liked to worship. They weren’t set around dates on Christmas, sometimes close but Christmas has always been a date all to his self.
These festivals usually followed and were around the winter solstice. All of this stuff is pagan beliefs and worship that had nothing to do with Christmas. After all no matter how much they try to cover it up always remember the first part of the word Christmas, it’s Christ. Some of these things that they claim are celebrations and festivals that started after anybody celebrated the first Christmas itself. Honestly they’re still trying to cover stuff up. That’s why they call it Xmas now and happy holidays they don’t want anything to do with the word Christ.
This is why it is so important to to do those things that we’re told in the Bible just like in the Bible verse that follows: Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV When we pray we are depending on God. We are saying take this, we trust Him, we give it to Him this is yours Lord. This is how we are able to create that relationship that we are told we need to have with God and Jesus Christ. Without this relationship we will never know the Holy Spirit.
This relationship creates the connection we see in the following verse: And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:15-17 ESV
Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Ephesians 5:20 ESV
Dear Heavenly Father, give me the strength to do those things that you want us to me to do. Guide me in all of the words that we need to see and give me the peace and understanding to always do those things you want me to do. In Jesus Name Amen

Refuge
Set forth your case, says the Lord; bring your proofs, says the King of Jacob. Let them bring them, and tell us what is to happen. Tell us the former things, what they are, that we may consider them, that we may know their outcome; or declare to us the things to come. Tell us what is to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods; do good, or do harm, that we may be dismayed and terrified. Behold, you are nothing, and your work is less than nothing; an abomination is he who chooses you. Isaiah 41:21-24 ESV
The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven; his eyes see, his eyelids test the children of man. The Lord tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence. Let him rain coals on the wicked; fire and sulfur and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.For the Lord is righteous; he loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold his face. Psalm11:1-7 ESV
