Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. Psalm 139:4 ESV
We try to get around things think it’ll be alright, we know our thoughts. The thoughts that we don’t share, the thoughts that come out of nowhere. We are told so does He, we can not hide these from God but we can ask Him to help shield us from the things in this world that cause these thoughts.
Dear Heavenly Father, be my guide and protect me from these things that surround me that I do not understand or that influence me in ways that are not from You. Lord I want to be and act as close to You as You’ve always wanted Your children to be. Lord give the strength to stand against the evil in this world, the distractions and influences. Help me to not fear and worry about these issues that continue to affect everything around us. Thank you Lord for Your protection, direction, and love. In Jesus Name Amen

These were the divisions of the descendants of Aaron. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father did, and they had no sons; so Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests.
3 With the help of Eleazar’s descendant Zadok and Ithamar’s descendant Ahimelech, David divided them according to the offices of their service. 4 Since more leaders were found among Eleazar’s descendants than those of Ithamar, they were divided accordingly. There were sixteen heads of families from the descendants of Eleazar and eight from the descendants of Ithamar.
5 Thus they were divided by lot, for there were officers of the sanctuary and officers of God among both Eleazar’s and Ithamar’s descendants.
6 The scribe, Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded their names in the presence of the king and of the officers: Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the heads of families of the priests and the Levites—one family being taken from Eleazar, and then one from Ithamar.
7 The first lot fell to Jehoiarib,
the second to Jedaiah,
8 the third to Harim,
the fourth to Seorim,
9 the fifth to Malchijah,
the sixth to Mijamin,
10 the seventh to Hakkoz,
the eighth to Abijah,
11 the ninth to Jeshua,
the tenth to Shecaniah,
12 the eleventh to Eliashib,
the twelfth to Jakim,
13 the thirteenth to Huppah,
the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,
14 the fifteenth to Bilgah,
the sixteenth to Immer,
15 the seventeenth to Hezir,
the eighteenth to Happizzez,
16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah,
the twentieth to Jehezkel,
17 the twenty-first to Jachin,
the twenty-second to Gamul,
18 the twenty-third to Delaiah,
and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
19 This was their appointed order for service when they entered the house of the LORD, according to the regulations prescribed for them by their forefather Aaron, as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times. Micah 5:2 WEB
Micah 5:2 is a verse from the Old Testament Book of Micah which was written by the prophet Micah. Micah lived in the 8th century B.C. and would minister to people during the hard times of that era. In this verse Micah prophesied that a ruler would come out of Bethlehem. He suggested that this ruler would be from “ancient times.” This verse implies the significance of the birth of a baby in the manger cited by the Wise men in Matthew 2.

Ephesians 6:11 is a verse in the Bible that reads, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” This verse is part of a larger passage in which the apostle Paul is writing to the church in Ephesus, instructing them on how to live as Christians in a world that is often hostile to their faith.
In this verse, Paul is telling the believers in Ephesus to put on the “whole armor of God.” This phrase is metaphorically referring to the various spiritual practices and disciplines that enable believers to stand firm in their faith and resist temptation. The armor of God includes things like the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, and the helmet of salvation.
The purpose of this armor is to help believers “stand against the schemes of the devil.” The devil is a term used in the Bible to refer to the spiritual forces of evil that seek to oppose God and deceive and tempt people away from following Him. These schemes can take many forms, such as temptation, persecution, and deception, but the armor of God gives believers the strength and protection they need to resist them.
One thing to note about this verse is that it does not imply that believers are in a constant state of warfare with the devil. Instead, it is meant to be a reminder that believers will encounter spiritual challenges and temptations in their lives and need to be prepared to stand against them. “Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it. How the gate is narrow and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are who find it.Matthew 7:13-14 WEB
Another important aspect of this verse is the idea of putting on the whole armor of God. This means that believers should not pick and choose which parts of their faith they want to embrace and which they want to ignore. Instead, they should fully embrace all aspects of their faith and be diligent in their spiritual practices and disciplines. Preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching. For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts, and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn away to fables. But you be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill your ministry. 2 Timothy 4:2-5 WEB
Something to think about with this verse is in terms of building a strong foundation for one’s faith. Just as a house needs a strong foundation to stand firm against the elements, believers need a strong foundation in their faith to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. This foundation is built through prayer, reading and studying the Bible, participating in fellowship with other believers, and serving others in the name of Christ. “Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell—and its fall was great.” Matthew 7:24-27 WEB
In conclusion, Ephesians 6:11 is a reminder to believers that they will face spiritual challenges and temptations in their lives and need to be prepared to stand against them. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 2 Timothy 3:12-13 WEB The armor of God gives believers the strength and protection they need to resist these schemes and live faithfully as followers of Christ. It is important for believers to fully embrace all aspects of their faith and build a strong foundation in their spiritual practices and disciplines.

How do you feel about the division that has been created within the world, school, politics? What about religion, church, and denominations? I am going to focus on denominations. I believe it is a disease that the devil injected into God’s people to distract them from God and His word.
Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. Matthew 12:25 WEB
The devil’s goal has always been to keep us apart from what God is doing, wants done, and has completed. Using denominations the devil has injected himself into the foundational truths of Christianity.
Why are Christians falling for it? Christians are falling for this deception, it’s understandable the devil has had thousands of years to perfect his deceitfulness and he’s gotten so good at doing it.

Everything seems so out of control right now. It’s like we are all caught in an out-of-control spin. It is time to put your foot down and focus on the only way out.
There were 128 runners in the field for the cross-country race at the 1993 NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships. As they set out on the 6.2 mile run, they were following a course that had been marked for them by the race officials. Toward the end of the course, one of the runners in the middle of the group realized something was wrong. Mike Delcavo of Western State College in Colorado saw that the main pack had missed the turn. “I was waving for them to follow me and yelling ‘This is the right way,’” he told an interviewer after the race.
Delcavo was right—but only four other runners followed him. The rest continued on the shortcut, which allowed them to run a shorter distance and finish the race sooner. In a widely-criticized decision, race officials allowed the abbreviated route to stand as the “official course” and Delcavo officially finished 123rd.
The world does not always reward staying on track—literally or figuratively. But the path we follow is important to God. One day, those of us who have already trusted Christ for our salvation will appear before the Lord for an evaluation of our service. Our entrance to Heaven is sure—that was settled when we received Christ. But rewards—or the loss of them—for how we spent our lives are not so sure. When we stand before the Lord, no shortcuts will be recognized, and only those who have run the race by His guidebook will be honored. Story from: Scorecard, Sports Illustrated, December 27, 1993
Right now we have so much “stuff”, you know all the junk, that is distracting us from looking at what is important. We need to stop drowning ourselves in the events of the day. It has taken us away from our family, friends and neighbors it makes us look suspiciously at those who do not deserve it. Because of all of the turmoil we tend to focus on ourselves. We don’t look to the One who has the answers, God. When we are focused on Jesus all of the other “stuff” will have a way of working its self out.
Becoming familiar with our owner’s manual, the bible, we are told: For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4 ESV Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:3 ESV Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Proverbs 4:25 ESV Look to God and quit being distracted by everything that is going on around you (I have to fight with this one myself distractions are everywhere). Not only pray but look to what we have been already instructed to do in these situations. We are told that He will walk through this “stuff” with us: No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13
Stop looking to the world to fix your “stuff” remember: Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2 ESV I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Psalm 32:8 ESV He tells us to look to Him but you need to take the first step. Do not believe what others tell you the Bible says, not even me. Read it yourself pray and ask God to reveal what it says.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21 ESV Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2 ESV Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 ESV As you can see He will #help you walk through the #junk you are dealing with we all just need to turn to Him in everything we do. He has the directions to #follow we just need to read them. Remember: When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. Isaiah 43:2 ESV No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17 ESV
Dear Heavenly Father, help us to see the direction that we need to walk. Give us the strength to walk the path that You want us to travel. Thank you, Lord, for giving us the opportunity to be here today. In Jesus Name Amen

When we look around we can, if we are paying attention, we will come to the conclusion that most of what we hear now is deceitful and is used to fulfill an agenda. “Fake News” It’s in all aspect of our lives, school, politics, friends, family, and even church. We have been warned about this is in the bible that this point of view is not to be dismissed. We have been told multiple times that there will be many that will come to deceive us and that many more will believe the lies.
For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist. 2 John 1:7 ESV
The Goal
The devil’s goal has always been to keep us apart from what God is doing, what God wants done, and everything God has completed. Using deception and human wants and needs the devil has injected himself into the foundational truths of society.
Why
Why are Christians falling for it? It’s understandable when people who do not Christ fall for the deception. But why are Christians falling for this trickery, we need to understand that the devil has had thousands of years to perfect his deceitfulness and he’s gotten so good at doing it. He has gotten comfortable selling his lies because he presents what we want to hear.
We have been deceived by the master deceiver and have bought into the deception: And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light 2 Corinthians 11:14 WEB The devil is arrogant, so arrogant that he even thought he could tempt and deceive Jesus in the wilderness.
Prayer

Have you ever sat down and considered everything that God has done for you throughout your life. The little things that only you know about that cannot be explained by “logical” reason.
We as humans try to analyze and explain everything and when it does not fit our goals we have a tendency to dismiss it. I have even heard scientist say we have to fill in the blanks with our imagination to explain how things work.
Some will say it is all caused by satin. The devil’s goal has always been to keep us apart from what God is doing, and wants done. The devil has injected himself into the foundation of our lives. But do realize that it is not always the devil but our own selfish desires.
Sometimes we do not want to see it, other times it is an attempt to make excuses for the way we want to act. God has given us so many chances to get to know Him and have the opportunity to be with Him for eternity. If you read the bible you can see through His word that there has been so much prophesy full-filled that you will know He is knock at the door screaming hurry I am coming in.

Resting in the Lord would include focusing on Him. Praising Him and surrounding yourself in His word. Like any other exercise regiment the best way to keep up your strength is through repetitions. Always praise Him, always focus on Him, and always listen to the words He has given us.
Triumph
The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress and grow.

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 ESV
What God Says
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10 ESV
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, Lord take away the “stuff” in me that is a distraction, purifying my mind and allow me to rest in your excellence.

There are so many “things” that are out there that will distract us. They will take our attention and direct it in so many different directions that sometimes it is hard to focus on our daily life. We often will categorize what is most important leaving God on the bottom of the list. When losing our focus on God we lose the best coach/leader/director that we have access to. Always consult Him first in every thing that you do.
Work is hard. Distractions are plentiful. And time is short.

In the world today there are so many #distractions. There is always something that takes you away from getting to the point you need to be. These distractions will take you away from simple stuff like house work, a job, family and so much more. Sometimes it’s temptation; someone that you are interested in that you should not even consider, or porn (which supports #humantrafficking) a purchase that you do not need, or even a new and better way to believe. You might be listening to people who are telling you what you should be or even how you cannot do it, you know “you’re not good enough”, He tells you that you are: 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 ESV. People/yourself telling you that you’re dumb, you’re weak, or you do not fit societies “norm”. These distractions that we have put in front of our path are road blocks that the devil uses to stop us from getting rid of the “stuff” that needs to go!
The definition of Distraction: a state of mental uncertainty, a state of wildly excited activity or emotion, the act or activity of providing pleasure or amusement especially for the public (Social Media), someone or something that provides amusement or enjoyment.
Stop the distractions with these steps that God told us to do: Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil. Proverbs 4:25-27 ESV So ask yourself what is causing the uncertainty to complete the task in front of you? Is there something that is “Waxing your ego” causing a interruption? Do you sit down in front of a screen and the next thing you know you have lost 2 hours of your time? If it is distracting you through it in the garbage move on and don’t look back! No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV God’s #gotyourback all you need to do is #trust Him and #moveforward. Make the #move and know that what’s behind you stays there it is not worth your time, invest your time in something that is worth it!

Dear Heavenly Father, as I get to know you more and more please help me to not become polluted with all of the distractions around me on a daily basis. I want to follow your true and pure path, the one that you intend for my life, as these troubles are thrown my way please help me to understand if they are truly to help me or if they are ways for the enemy to distract me from your purpose. Thank you Lord for all that you do, all that you are, and everything that you have given me. In Jesus Name Amen
Matthew 5: 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
