What is the Holy Spirit?

Did you know that God loves you, He is always there for you. God protects you and He has made you His temple! Have you every driven around your town and seen some of the old school churches? They are so beautiful, the craftsmanship that went into them is inconceivable. Think about when they where built, they did not have heavy equipment it was all done by the sweat off their brow. You can see the pride that they had to build these buildings. Lets think about what God did for us; He formed us with His own hands: Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. Genesis 2:7 and now we are told not only did He form us but we are made a temple that within this temple God himself dwells! We have been given such an awesome gift that all we can do is say thank you Lord and respect and nurture what He gave us.

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for Your direction and this gift, I do not feel like I should be worthy to receive such an awesome gift as the Holy Spirit. Lord You are always there to support and protect me who could ask for anything more? In Jesus Name Amen

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for walking with me when everything seemed to immerse me and was hitting me the hardest. I felt like my head was under water never being able to take a breath. Thank you for taking me out of all of my hardships leading me to a better situation, showing me that there was actually dry ground. Thank you for being the light house I needed before I hit any jagged rocks. In Jesus Name Amen

Dear Heavenly Father, please help me to understand the awesome love that You hold. Lord please remind me when I am being arrogant, help guide me through any bitterness that I retain against anyone or anything. Dear Heavenly Father, You have known me and all that I have done, and all that I am. You know the good, the bad, yet You still have given me Your Grace, sharing Your unconditional love with me. Thank you for the treasures that you have granted me in my life. The decline that I have allowed to transpire in my life needed and needs the Restoration that You give to me on a daily basis. Dear Heavenly Father, every day I struggle with the turmoil and fear of what is to come. I struggle daily while polishing my ego, fighting myself, thinking I always need more and never being satisfied with what You have given me. I am thankful for the gifts You have provided but I always want more. Please guide me Lord in the direction that You have established for me in Proverbs 16:9 we are told that In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. Lord guide my steps down the path that You have laid down for me. In Jesus Name Amen

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord”.

Jesus loves you and wants to have a close and personal relationship with you! He wants to help you when you are in times of need, he wants to comfort you when you feel down, and he wants to be there when you need someone to lean on. If you want this all you have to do is pray this prayer and you will get to know him better and have a friend for the rest of your physical and eternal life.

Love each other as He Loves you

Dear Heavenly Father, as this is read give understanding and conviction to those reading this. May there be understanding where there needs to be understanding and conviction where there needs to be conviction. Please soften the hearts of those reading this and open them to receive Your message. In Jesus Name Amen
Over the last few days I have seen all of the fighting, the name calling, insults, character bashing and I wonder why. We as Christians and human beings are told that we should not return evil with evil: 1 Peter 3: 9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. That is one definition of Respect. With that said I do not blame any of the uncertainties that there are out there. I will just say one thing and that is CAKE, we all know what happened. But we have been commanded: Romans 12: 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. I know that when we observe the respect that we are expected to give others yet receive disrespect in every manner that you can imagine, it gets disheartening. We are still told that 1 Peter 23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. We should always respond with meekness: Matthew 5: 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. We have been instructed to follow in the footsteps that Jesus gave us, to walk on the path that he took. 1 Peter 21: 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. There are two things that we should never forget, his commandments to LOVE one another: Matthew 22: 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. And with that said never forget: Luke 6: 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you. Jesus did not say these things were acceptable but he did say we need to Love everyone. Continue……

Dear Heavenly Father, please help me to show humility in all situations, to throw out my pride and to know that I can depend on you in every circumstance I face.
