God Isn’t Finished Yet

man in white and red shit running

Your current struggle is not your final chapter. Even when progress feels slow, God is still working behind the scenes.

Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

Endurance is not sustained by your strength, but by God’s faithfulness. This verse reminds us that the work God began in us is not unfinished or forgotten. Even in seasons of struggle, delay, or weakness, He is actively shaping our faith. Growth may feel slow, but it is never wasted. When you are tempted to quit, remember that God does not abandon His work. Stay faithful in the process. What He started, He will complete refining you, strengthening you, and carrying you forward until the day His purpose is fully revealed.

Thoughts to Ponder:
Speak this truth today: God is still working in me.

Journal Prompt:
Where in your life do you feel unfinished, discouraged, or tempted to give up? Reflect on how God may still be working in that area. What would it look like to trust His process today and take one small step forward in endurance, even without seeing immediate results?

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for never giving up on me. Help me to understand and trust the process and stay faithful as You continue Your work in my life. In Jesus Name Amen.

Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

This verse is a powerful assurance of God’s ongoing work in the life of every believer. It teaches that salvation is not only initiated by God but also sustained and completed by Him. Even when growth feels slow or inconsistent, God remains faithful to His purpose. This verse shifts our confidence away from our own performance and places it firmly in God’s character. He does not abandon what He begins. Instead, He continues shaping, refining, and strengthening His people until His work in them is fully accomplished in Christ.

 Strength to Endure

pexels-photo-13409672.jpeg

Strength is endurance over time. Trials do not remove strength, they refine it. A strong man remains faithful under pressure, trusting God’s purposes.

Blessed is a person who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to those who love him. James 1:12

Perseverance under trial is not wasted, it is seen and rewarded by God. Trials test our faith, but they also strengthen it, producing endurance that shapes our character. Blessing is not found in avoiding difficulty, but in remaining steadfast through it. God promises the crown of life to those who love Him, assuring us that our struggles have eternal purpose. When pressure comes, hold firm. Your faithfulness matters, and God is using every challenge to refine you, deepen your trust, and prepare you for lasting joy.

Thoughts to Ponder:
Refuse to quit in a difficult situation today.

Journal Prompt:
Sit down and think about your current reactions. How do I usually respond to trials?

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, help me endure trials with faith. Give me strength when the chaos makes everything seem impossible. In Jesus Name Amen

 Faith Isn’t a Feeling

a tiger standing near the water pond with rock formation

If you only move when you can see the outcome, you’ll never experience what faith can do. Faith begins where your control ends and that’s where God starts moving.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

Faith is not dependent on visible outcomes, but in trust in God’s character. Walking by faith means choosing obedience even when circumstances feel uncertain. It requires surrendering control and believing that God is leading, even when the path is unclear. This kind of faith grows through daily dependence on Him. When fear or doubt rises, return to what you know is true, God is faithful, present, and good. Step forward today, not because you see the whole picture, but because you trust the One who guides you. Walking by faith means choosing obedience even when motivation seems to be low. God is still present in the quiet seasons, and your faith is growing even when you cannot feel it. You don’t need full visibility to take the next step, just enough faith to trust God.

Thought to Ponder:
Choose obedience today, even if your feelings lag behind. What if the breakthrough you’re waiting for requires a step you can’t yet see?

Journal Prompt:
Where in your life are you relying more on what you see or feel than on trusting God? What would it look like today to take one step forward in faith instead of fear?

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, help me trust You when my feelings are unsure and my faith feels quiet. Give me the strength to move when I think I cannot. Amen.

Recent News on Prominent Christian Figures & Cultural Impact (March 11 – March 18, 2026)

two silver imac on table

The week brought poignant tributes to a civil-rights giant, urgent papal appeals for peace amid Middle East tensions, a major realignment in global Anglicanism, and ongoing signs of a “Quiet Revival” among younger generations. Reports continued to reference the lingering “Charlie Kirk Effect” from his 2025 assassination, while new data highlighted Pope Leo XIV’s unexpected draw for both Catholics and Protestants.

1. Pope Leo XIV Issues Strong Peace Appeals and War Critique

  • In his March 15 Angelus address and recent general audiences, Pope Leo XIV lamented “atrocious violence” in the Iran-related conflict, called for an immediate ceasefire (“Let the roar of bombs cease!”), and urged Christian political leaders who initiate wars to “go to confession.” He also expressed concern over political violence broadly and offered prayers for the family of the late activist Charlie Kirk. Vatican observers noted his balanced approach, continuing Francis-era priorities on migrants and ecology while adopting a more traditional style. New Pew and Vatican data this week suggested his papacy has contributed to a measurable uptick in Catholic conversions and interest among Protestants. thedailybeast.com +2

2. Passing of Dr. John M. Perkins at Age 95

  • On March 13, beloved evangelical leader, author, and civil-rights pioneer Dr. John M. Perkins died peacefully in Jackson, Mississippi. Perkins founded the Christian Community Development Association and spent decades championing racial reconciliation, holistic gospel ministry, and community justice. Tributes from across the evangelical world (including Christianity Today and Religion News Service) underscored his influence on forgiveness after personal experiences of brutality and his model of “relocation, reconciliation, and redistribution.” religionnews.com

3. Historic Anglican Realignment at GAFCON G26 in Nigeria

  • Conservative Anglican leaders gathered in Abuja formally launched a new Global Anglican Council (replacing the former GAFCON Primates Council) and elected Archbishop Laurent Mbanda of Rwanda as chairman. The body signaled a “principled disengagement” from Canterbury over doctrinal differences on LGBT issues, women’s ordination, and authority. Organizers described the gathering as a “kairos moment” representing the majority of the world’s practicing Anglicans. biblegateway.com

4. Signs of “Quiet Revival” and Gen Z Church Growth

  • The Bible Society and Albert Mohler highlighted record Bible sales in the UK (up over 130% since 2019) and sharp rises in church attendance among 18–24-year-olds the core of the ongoing “Quiet Revival.” In the U.S., King’s Church DC reported ~2,000% growth over seven years (largely Gen Z and millennials), while pastors continued crediting the “Charlie Kirk Effect” for increased Bible reading and first-time church visits among young conservatives. Broader Barna and American Bible Society data noted sustained spiritual interest amid secular trends, though nearly half of American Christians still report not attending services in the past six months. denisonforum.org +1

5. Other Notable Developments

  • Francis Chan publicly apologized this week for past endorsements of leaders later accused of misconduct (including Mike Bickle), acknowledging the hurt caused and clarifying he no longer supports those in “unrepentant immorality.”
  • A 1,000-person U.S. evangelical pastors’ delegation to Israel (largest since the nation’s founding) wrapped up follow-up activities, training “ambassadors” against antisemitism and producing related media.
  • Faith-based entertainment continued its cultural footprint: coverage of The Chosen’s impact and the Movieguide Awards spotlighted how such projects are reaching millions and sparking spiritual conversations.

These stories reflect Christianity’s ongoing global influence through leadership transitions, calls for peace and justice, institutional realignments, and pockets of cultural resurgence—amid persistent challenges. Organizations and media outlets across evangelical, Catholic, and Anglican spheres provided the primary reporting.

Human trafficking a rising problem in Cameroon

news

Human trafficking in Cameroon has been impeded by social stigma, inadequate financial resources, as well as lack of clarity in the laws.

During a workshop on human trafficking organized by the Justice and Peace Commission of the Kumbo Diocese Christopher Bello said Cameroon is a source, transit and destination for human trafficking, noting this modern slavery has spiked as a result of the separatist conflict in Cameroon’s English-speaking regions.

Recent Abortion News (March 11 – March 18, 2026)

News

Abortion policy continued to evolve at the state level this week, with new restrictions signed into law, high-profile legislative failures, court victories on religious-freedom grounds, and ongoing preparations for 2026 ballot battles. Both pro-life and pro-choice groups remained active, framing developments around fetal protections versus access and health impacts. Here are the major stories:

1. Wyoming Enacts 6-Week “Heartbeat” Ban

  • Governor Mark Gordon signed HB 126, banning most abortions once a heartbeat is detectable (around six weeks), with exceptions only for medical emergencies. Wyoming becomes the fifth state with such a law. The state’s sole abortion clinic reported turning away roughly a dozen patients in the days following the signing. Pro-life advocates hailed it as a major step forward; reproductive-rights organizations criticized the early cutoff and warned of increased travel burdens for Wyoming women.

2. Tennessee “Abortion-as-Homicide” Bill Fails

  • A controversial proposal (sponsored by Rep. Jody Barrett and Sen. Mark Pody) that would have classified abortion as homicide—potentially carrying life imprisonment or the death penalty—died in a House subcommittee. No Republican members voted to advance it, surprising some observers and sparking protests outside the capitol. Pro-life hardliners expressed disappointment at the lack of support, while pro-choice groups called the bill’s defeat a “victory for women’s rights and common sense.”

3. Jersey (Channel Islands, UK) Expands Access to 22 Weeks

  • Lawmakers passed legislation raising the abortion limit from previous restrictions to 22 weeks and reducing other barriers. The new law sets a resident fee of £185 through government healthcare. UK pro-choice campaigners welcomed the move as modernizing outdated rules; local faith-based and pro-life voices voiced concern over the extended gestational window.

4. Indiana Court Strikes Down Restrictions on Religious Grounds

  • In a landmark ruling, Judge Christina R. Klineman found that Indiana’s abortion laws violate the state’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA)—the first successful challenge of its kind using religious-liberty arguments. The decision could open new legal pathways for clinics and patients. Pro-life organizations warned it may significantly expand access, while religious liberty and reproductive-rights attorneys praised it as precedent-setting.

5. 2026 Ballot-Measure Battles Heat Up

  • Virginia: A lawsuit was filed to keep a proposed constitutional amendment protecting reproductive rights off the November ballot.
  • Missouri: A measure to repeal the state’s 2024 abortion protections advanced in signature gathering.
  • Nevada and several other states remain active fronts, with KFF analysts noting that 2026 could see more voter-driven decisions on both expansion and restriction of access. Both sides are pouring resources into these campaigns.

6. Kansas Protects Crisis Pregnancy Centers

  • The legislature passed a bill shielding crisis pregnancy centers from certain regulatory requirements and advertising restrictions. Pro-life groups celebrated the measure as safeguarding supportive services for women; opponents argued it limits transparency for those seeking abortion information.

7. UK Catholic Leaders Oppose Decriminalization Push

  • The Catholic Archbishop of Westminster and other faith leaders intensified campaigning against clauses in the Crime and Policing Bill that would decriminalize abortion up to birth. A key vote is expected soon. This has reignited national debate on late-term procedures and the role of conscience protections.

8. National Trends and Data Notes

  • Medication (chemical) abortions continue to dominate (now ~63–65% of total procedures per recent tracking). Reports again linked strict state bans to measurable rises in maternal-mortality indicators and interstate travel. Advocacy organizations on both sides released updated statistics and called for federal or state-level action ahead of the mid-year legislative sessions.

The landscape remains highly polarized, with courts, legislatures, and voters all playing pivotal roles. For full details, check state legislative trackers and reports from the Guttmacher Institute and KFF.

Recent News on Christian Persecution (March 11 – March 18, 2026)

news

Advocacy groups including International Christian Concern (ICC), Open Doors, and Persecution Relief released multiple reports this week documenting fresh incidents of violence, arrests, and systemic discrimination. The global picture remains unchanged: roughly 388 million Christians (about 1 in 7 worldwide) continue to face high or extreme levels of persecution according to the 2026 World Watch List.

1. India – Mob Assault on 28 Christian Families in Chhattisgarh

  • On March 10 (reported March 16), a mob in Millampalli village, Sukma district, attacked 28 Christian families with wooden rods and sticks. The families had been denied government food rations since November 2025 solely because of their faith; when they complained, a local food inspector allegedly incited the violence and issued threats. Police complaints were filed, but witnesses claim authorities showed bias or inaction.

2. Nigeria – Fulani Militia Attacks Continue in Plateau State

  • A March 17 ICC report highlighted ongoing raids by Fulani militants and bandits on Christian farming communities in Barkin Ladi, Riyom, and Bokkos areas. Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo of the Church of Christ in Nations publicly stated that repeated appeals for protection, including direct outreach to the U.S. administration, have gone unanswered, leaving Middle Belt Christians exposed despite broader U.S. military operations elsewhere in the country. Churches and homes remain primary targets.

3. Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) – Weekly ADF/ISIS-Linked Violence

  • ICC’s March 13 briefing detailed near-weekly attacks by the ISIS-affiliated Allied Democratic Forces in eastern provinces. Christians are being murdered, abducted, and displaced, with churches deliberately destroyed as militants seek to impose stricter Islamic rule. The situation has worsened in recent months, with hundreds killed or kidnapped in targeted Christian villages.

4. Cuba – Pastor Arrested for Posting Bible Teaching Online

  • On March 15, Pastor Rolando Pérez Lora was arrested after uploading a simple Bible teaching video to YouTube. The arrest drew international attention March 16–18, underscoring growing restrictions on online Christian expression in Cuba. Local believers and advocacy groups are calling for his immediate release.

5. Iran & China – Heightened Pressure Amid Conflict and Surveillance

  • Open Doors issued updated “Dispatches from Iran” (March 17) noting that at least 48 Christians remain imprisoned amid regional chaos, communication blackouts, and economic hardship affecting underground churches. In China, ICC’s new feature “Persecution Has No Borders” detailed intensified domestic surveillance plus overseas harassment of Chinese Christians abroad through “police stations” and digital monitoring.

6. China – “Persecution Has No Borders”

  • ICC’s March 17 feature emphasized the Chinese Communist Party’s expanding reach: intensified surveillance, church demolitions, and “Sinicization” campaigns inside China, alongside overseas “police stations” harassing Chinese Christians abroad. Long-term prisoners and families of detainees continue to suffer, with authorities tightening controls on online Bible studies and house churches.

7. Iran – Christians Endure War Chaos and Imprisonment

  • Open Doors issued a March 17 dispatch on the situation inside Iran amid regional conflict. At least 48 Christians remain imprisoned, many in the overcrowded and chaotic Evin Prison, while others are missing. Communication blackouts, economic collapse, and forced conscription have hit underground churches particularly hard. Believers have been actively supporting displaced families, demonstrating remarkable resilience despite the risks of arrest for “apostasy” or “propaganda against the regime.”

8. Broader Regional Warnings

  • Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) reiterated that escalating violence in the Middle East threatens the very survival of ancient Christian communities. The Vatican and UN statements this week again described anti-Christian persecution as the most widespread form of religious oppression globally.
  • The Vatican and several UN statements this week reiterated warnings about the scale of anti-Christian violence, especially in conflict zones. European commentators also discussed “polite persecution” , subtle legal and cultural pressures in Western societies, alongside the more violent incidents in the Global South. No major new policy shifts were announced, but advocacy groups continue pressing Western governments for stronger diplomatic action.

These reports emphasize both sudden violence and long-term systemic pressures. Relief organizations are actively providing emergency aid, legal assistance, and documentation. For ongoing monitoring, the primary sources remain ICC (persecution.org), Open Doors, and ACN.

Interfaith leaders held a protest rally in front of the National Press Club in the capital, Dhaka, on March 13. Religious minorities in Bangladesh are coming together to denounce rough treatment they have received in the wake of national elections last month.

People belonging to minority religions and cultural groups have suffered intimidation, violent attacks, even torture and worse since the February 12 general elections in the majority-Muslim country of 80 million, in which Christians make up less than 1 percent of the population.

2 Corinthians 5:1-10; Our Heavenly Home

Bible and notebook

For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

This offers hope and perspective about life, death, and eternity. Paul contrasts our earthly bodies, temporary and fragile, with the eternal dwelling God has prepared for believers. While we live in this present body, we may experience weakness and longing, but we are not without confidence. Our ultimate home is with the Lord. This passage calls believers to walk by faith, not by sight, trusting in what God has promised beyond what we currently see. It also reminds us that we will stand before Christ, not for condemnation, but for evaluation. Therefore, we live with purpose, seeking to please Him in all we do.

 Strength for the Battle

a ferocious lion lying on ground yawning

Life is a spiritual battle, whether we acknowledge it or not. God does not send His people into battle unprepared, He supplies His strength. Victory comes from dependence, not aggression.

“Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.” Ephesians 6:10

We are called to recognize that the Christian life includes spiritual battle. Our strength is not found through ourselves, but in the Lord and His mighty power. Preparing for battle begins with having dependence, through prayer, Scripture, and daily surrender. We don’t fight for victory, but from it, because Christ has already overcome. Stand firm, not fearful. Train your heart in truth, guard your mind, and stay alert. When you rely on God’s strength, you are equipped to face every challenge with courage, endurance, and unshakable faith.

Thoughts to Ponder:
Put on the “armor of God” in prayer and pray it daily.

Journal Prompt:
Sit down and think about your current status. What battles am I currently facing? Write them down and address each one by what the Bible tells you to do.

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, equip me with Your strength for today’s battles. Help me to see and understand the tools I need to address my current battles. Lord guide me in the direction You want me to go. In Jesus Name Amen

 Finish What You Started

cheetah walking on grass

Staying committed, when excitement fades, is where faith becomes real. Finishing well matters to God, even when the journey feels long.

Better is the end of a thing than its beginning. The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. Ecclesiastes 7:8

Endurance is the quiet strength that keeps going when excitement fades and challenges rise. Patience guards us from pride and frustration, shaping steady faith over time. God often does His deepest work in the middle, where perseverance is required. Stay faithful in the process. Trust that God is forming character, not just outcomes. When you endure with humility, the end will reveal growth, wisdom, and a testimony of God’s sustaining grace.

Call to Action:
Commit to finishing faithfully what God has placed in your life.

Journaling Prompt:

What area of your life is God calling you to endure in right now, and how might He be using this season to shape your character, patience, and faith? Reflect on where you feel tempted to give up, and write a prayer asking God for strength to remain faithful through the process.

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, help me remain faithful and finish strong. Give me the strength to take on the next move. Give me a clear and obvious path forward. In Jesus Name Amen.
