Dear Heavenly Father, be with our leaders, protect them, give them wisdom; help them to look over the welfare of all of their people. Lord give them the wisdom of Solomon (1 Kings 4:29), the protection of your mighty armies (2 Kings 6:17), and give them the love that You have for all of their people. Please help the citizens see that anarchy is not the way to go without law and direction there is confusion. Lord soften peoples hearts so they can see, understand, and follow your direction. In Jesus Name Amen
Follow the Law
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience. For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed. Romans 13:1-7 ESV
The lesson here taught it becomes all Christians to learn and practice, that the godly in the land will always be found the quiet and the peaceable in the land, whatever others are. Matthew Henrys Concise Commentary
Pray for Your Leaders
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 ESV But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare. Jerimiah 29:7 ESV

Our Shepheard
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. Psalm 23:1-6 NKJV

If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.
Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be canceled. 1 Corinthians 13:4-10 MSG

I have been talking with people who are afraid, frustrated, and confused. It is normal to be afraid when there is something going on that can harm us and even worse that we cannot control. God has told us over and over again not to be afraid, I know it is hard when looking around and everything seems to be going crazy. Being concerned for family, friends, and loved ones recall and meditate on what God says: For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” Romans 8:15 ESV For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Isaiah 41:13 ESV “Do not fear, only believe.” Mark 5:36 ESV

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9 ESV
“Truth is a representation of things as they are; and they were constantly to live under the correct impression of objects. A man who is false to his engagements, or false in his statements and promises, is one who will always disgrace their beliefs.” Albert Barnes
We are driving down the road we turn on our blinker to merge into the lane on the side of us. We start to turn and all of a sudden someone else from behind you swings in to the lane, no blinker, cuts you off and shows you that you are number one. That is so frustrating your knee jerk reaction is to show them they are also number one, but we need to rise above some of those little ingrained automatic reactions. To be pure and to be honorable means that we have to take ourselves out of the normal and become abnormal, rise above it! Yes I know sometimes that is really hard and seems impossible. Pray and thank God that He protected you from something that could have been bad; thank Him that you did not make it worse. Always remember people will look to you for guidance and if we look no different than the world; than what are we saying? We need to make the statement that we are different and that there is a better way.

No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it; they shall not be found there, but the redeemed shall walk there.Isa 35:9 ESV We are told the lion will not be there we are able to walk that path without worry, without harm. Know that you are protected, know that He is with you: Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 ESV Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 ESV And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14 ESV The gift that God has given us, the gift of redemption: But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. Isaiah 43:1 ESV “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Dear Heavenly Father, I feel like everywhere I turn there is nothing for me. I feel like I am locked in an inescapable cage that no matter which way I turn I run into another wall. Lord I am on my knees crying out to You, Lord why are You doing this? I need to get out of this please HELP! In Jesus Name Amen
What’s Going on
Don’t be confused: For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. 1 Corinthians 14:33 ESV Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 ESV Let my cry come before you, O Lord; give me understanding according to your word! Psalm 119:169 ESV I cannot say this enough; God has got your back; pray the prayer that Elisha prayed: Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6: 17Pray to have your eyes opened so that you may see Gods plan for you, when this plan becomes apparent you will be able to see the “chariots of fire” that He has given you to fight with. Yours will be different than others that is why we are told that we are one part of the whole body: For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Romans 12:3-5 ESV Become the “one part” that He has intended you to be. Love each other without fear, help where you can help and travel the path with joy that you are on.

“Bible Gateway Passage: – English Standard Version. version=ESV.
Dear Heavenly Father, the strength and the tenacity You had knowing that You were going to have to suffer unimaginable pain both mentally and physically. Lord You did not waver, unmovable in everyway to endure the humiliation and physical torture just so that I can be with you in Heaven. I thank you from every part of my being, and cannot wait to give You a hug and tell You how much that means to me. In Jesus Name Amen
Make Way
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:9 ESV The next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!” And Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written:
“Fear not, daughter of Zion;
behold, your king is coming,
sitting on a donkey’s colt!”
His disciples did not understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him and had been done to him. The crowd that had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to bear witness. The reason why the crowd went to meet him was that they heard he had done this sign. So the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you are gaining nothing. Look, the world has gone after him.” John 12:12-19 ESV
We know that in just a few days the leaders in Jerusalem will crucify Jesus because they felt threatened, they were afraid that they would loose their power. We all can learn a few things from what happened to Jesus, these leaders were blinded by their personal asperations, ignoring what they had in front of them. Jesus loves us so much that He even died for those that had Him nailed to the cross. Is there “stuff” that holds you back from seeing what is in front of you? It could be in the way of your family, friends, and even your salvation. We need to make sure that our “stuff” is in order so that it does not become a distraction from everything that is important. Jesus is our guide and will take us through turmoil, anxiety, and distractions. God has given us a owners manual that will show us how to deal with all the interference, sometimes it is like listening to an AM radio and all you can hear is static. As humans we seem to repeat history over and over again and in the bible, the entire bible, we are shown how to navigate the sometimes rough roads we have ahead.
Celebration Time
The palm-tree has ever been an emblem of victory and triumph; Cicero calls one that had won many prizes plurimarum palmarum homo – a man of many palms. Christ was now by his death to conquer principalities and powers, and therefore it was fit that he should have the victor’s palm borne before him; though he was but girding on the harness, yet he could boast as though he had put it off. Mathew Henry’s Commentary on the Whole Bible
Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! The Lord has taken away the judgments against you; he has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; you shall never again fear evil. Zephaniah 3:14-15 ESV

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for being with me when ever I need You. You have supported me and held me up through the worst times of my life. Thank you; I always know that I have You to lean on when everything seems to be going wrong. Even when I do not understand I know that you have it under control. In Jesus Name Amen
Paths Traveled
In my life for some reason I seem to go to God last, I know better because He has always has taken care of me, He has always comforted me and when I look back it has always been something that has taught me what I needed (I don’t think I am the only one). If I would consult the one and only, the creator of the world, it would lesson some of the heartache we go through unnecessarily. I say unnecessarily because when we let Him be the guide for every path we travel we find out over and over again that He’s got it under control.
He’s Got This
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. Isaiah 43:2 ESV But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 ESV Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 ESV

Dear Heavenly Father, with everything that is happening right now around the world there is so much that I do not understand. Lord be my guide, be the light so I can see through the darkness, and Lord open my eyes so that I can see what you want me to do. I know I am only one part of the body and that I cannot do what others are doing, but I want to do what You want me to do Lord. Be my escort as I face this path. In Jesus Name Amen
Fear Not
I have been talking with people who are afraid, frustrated, and confused. Frustration
We look around and see people with Covid-19 licking toilet paper in grocery stores and other people helping in ways that you cannot because of your circumstances, and this makes us want to do something. This is so frustrating; we see the guy in the grocery store trying to get people sick, this brings feelings of disgust and raises the question WHY. People are hoarding toilet paper, because of fear, not leaving anything for others, on the positive note there are people handing out food and helping others, but if you helped there is a good possibility that it would make you sick. God tells us that there is a time for everything: For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 ESV This frustration is normal but remember God’s got this He is in control you can do your part and pray be the support for those who have none; call, send someone a thank you letter. Doing this is something Timothy told us to do: First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 ESV
Confusion
Don’t be confused: For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. 1 Corinthians 14:33 ESV Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 ESV Let my cry come before you, O Lord; give me understanding according to your word! Psalm 119:169 ESV I cannot say this enough; God has got your back pray the prayer that Elisha prayed: Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6: 17Pray to have your eyes opened so that you may see Gods plan for you, when this plan becomes apparent you will be able to see the “chariots of fire” that He has given you to fight with. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Romans 12:3-5 ESV Become the “one part” that He has intended you to be.
We have the authority to tread on serpents and scorpions
God has given us so much, His grace is over-whelming! The power that has been given to us with the faith of a mustard seed will allow us to move mountains; “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him Matthew 11:22-23 Moving beyond that we are told of the authority that we, as Christians, have been given. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Luke 10:19 ESV They will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:18 ESV You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. Psalm 91:13 ESV When Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and put them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat and fastened on his hand. Acts 28:3 ES When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. Isaiah 43:2 ESV That is some kind of awesomeness, to know that God takes care of us with every step taken.
We must test all things
With all of this authority that we have been given there comes great responsibility. With that responsibility making sure that when using this authority it is not used in the wrong way. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2 ESV Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! 2 Corinthians 13:5 ESV Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1 ESV But test everything; hold fast what is good. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 ESV “But he knows where I am and what I’ve done. He can cross-examine me all he wants, and I’ll pass the test with honors. I’ve followed him closely, my feet in his footprints, not once swerving from his way. I’ve obeyed every word he’s spoken, and not just obeyed his advice—I’ve treasured it. Job 23:10-12 MSG
Why do we think we need to test Christ?
Where does it say test God? I do not see anything about testing God, I do however see over and over again test the spirits, men and ourselves. Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, “‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and “‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’” Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” Matthew 4:5-7 ESV Looking at that gives complete insight on who likes to bring up questions about faith and trust. We must not put Christ to the test, as some of them did and were destroyed by serpents, 1 Corinthians 10:9 ESV When we look at a different version it really puts it into a whole different perspective of how important it is that God is not tested. We must be on guard so that we never get caught up in wanting our own way as they did. And we must not turn our religion into a circus as they did—“First the people partied, then they threw a dance.” They paid for that, remember, with 23,000 deaths in one day! We must never try to get Christ to serve us instead of us serving him; they tried it, and God launched an epidemic of poisonous snakes. We must be careful not to stir up discontent; discontent destroyed them. These are all warning markers—danger!—in our history books, written down so that we don’t repeat their mistakes. Our positions in the story are parallel—they at the beginning, we at the end—and we are just as capable of messing it up as they were. Don’t be so naive and self-confident. You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else. Forget about self-confidence; it’s useless. Cultivate God-confidence. 1 Corinthians 10:6-12 MSG
Guilt
This is not meant to call anyone out, this is for those of us that need to stay home instead of going out and trying to help. STOP beating yourselves up! But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15 ESV I know it is frustrating because lending a hand when there are others in need is second nature. We have been told to: Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:15-17 ESV Ask yourself am I going to be better trying to lend support in different ways that do not require walking through a fire that God did not intend to be walked. After doing this, remember, God is not someone who condemns us: Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1 ESV There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 ESV Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 ESV Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 ESV For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15 ESV Do not fall for the lie being whispered in your ear that by not being present for certain things you are not doing the work that God wants you to do. Read that again, “works”. And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.” Isaiah 6:7 ESV
Do not be deceived, Armor up!
The best way to shut out these whispers that keep on coming through is to armor up, remember that the devil disguises himself as an angel of light: And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14 ESV I know this is repeating this point but it cannot be stressed enough! When reading the bible, our owner’s manual, it’s seen that satan even tried to deceive Jesus while He was being tempted: Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, “He will command his angels concerning you, and On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.” Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.” Matthew 4:5-7 Looking at this passage helps one realize the devil has no shame! I know that the devil has been glamorized, even made into the victim, on TV, when looking at that it kind of helps us grasp the concept that it is part of satins grater plan, the devil has had thousands of years to perfect his approach. ARMOR UP: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak. Dear Heavenly Father, cover your children with the blood of Jesus Christ, while they are covered Lord Make this virus pass over their homes and families. Lord protect them from this sickness; for those who do get it Lord surround and comfort them. While this virus is attacking so many help settle fears, anxieties, and doubt. Lord we give this battle to You, send your angels to fight for us and keep us and our families safe from this Pandemic. Give our leaders the wisdom they need, protect them from attacks so they can guide us through this with open eyes and with the needed insight. Help them to see what needs to be done to keep everyone safe. Lord help us to share God’s love. In Jesus Name Amen
Don’t be Afraid God’s got this
As we are facing a frightening time in our history that has affected everyone, I pray as much as I can but right now it is even more important to talk to God. While I was praying this morning God reminded me of the Passover. The Passover was created to keep Gods people safe from the tenth plague that God was sending to Egypt because pharaoh would not let the Israelites go. God told Moses after he was unsuccessful to convince pharaoh for the ninth time to let his people go that the plague was going to take every first born living creature. God protected His people from this plague, they came out unscathed and ready for the next undertaking. We are reminded and should always remember to focus on the protection that we have through a close relationship with God: He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place the Most High, who is my refuge no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Psalm 91:1-16 (ESV)
A Final Plague Threatened (ESV)
The Lord said to Moses, “Yet one plague more I will bring upon Pharaoh and upon Egypt. Afterward he will let you go from here. When he lets you go, he will drive you away completely. Speak now in the hearing of the people, that they ask, every man of his neighbor and every woman of her neighbor, for silver and gold jewelry.” And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants and in the sight of the people. So Moses said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘About midnight I will go out in the midst of Egypt, and every firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the slave girl who is behind the hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle. There shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there has never been, nor ever will be again. But not a dog shall growl against any of the people of Israel, either man or beast, that you may know that the Lord makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.’ And all these your servants shall come down to me and bow down to me, saying, ‘Get out, you and all the people who follow you.’ And after that I will go out.” And he went out from Pharaoh in hot anger. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Pharaoh will not listen to you, that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.” Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh, and the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the people of Israel go out of his land. Exodus 11:1-10
Why does it take extremes?
This has always gave thoughts of how stubborn we can be sometimes, God will do things in our lives to show us His presence we see it believe for a second and then find ways to explain it and turn our backs again. I can admit I have been the same way in the past and I would find ways to discredit, oh that was a coincidence, the things that God was doing in my life until He hit me with that proverbial brick. He will make it so obvious that it cannot be explained away. So the brick that Pharaoh needed was the tenth plague something so drastic that God’s, the one and only god, existence could not be questioned.
Getting Ready for the Plague
Then Moses called all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Go and select lambs for yourselves according to your clans, and kill the Passover lamb.Take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and touch the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. None of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning. For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses to strike you. Exodus 12:21-23 (ESV)
Getting Ready for Troubles
As a Christian we can get ready by putting on armor and fight these things that are being flung at us. When we have put on this armor it gives us protection from the god of this world, the devil. The devil has had years to prefect the ways that he attacks us, he is good at it. He causes doubt and misunderstanding, while Jesus was being tempted he even used the bible to try and deceive Jesus. This is why it so important for us to be armored up: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Ephesians 6:10-20 (ESV)
Passed Over
At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of the livestock. And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he and all his servants and all the Egyptians. And there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where someone was not dead. Then he summoned Moses and Aaron by night and said, “Up, go out from among my people, both you and the people of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as you have said. Take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone, and bless me also!” Exodus 12:29-32 (ESV)
Protected
We were given a gift so that there is no need to sacrifice a lamb when we sin or for protection, it is Jesus Christ. When we become Christians we walk in the light of or Lord Jesus Christ: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7 (ESV) We have been given the gift of the Holy Spirt who gives us the protection and wisdom to walk the path that is in front of us. While I was praying this morning I was reassured that Jesus Christ is our Lamb and that He covers us with His blood just like the lamb’s blood of the Passover. The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29 (ESV) but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. 1 Peter 1:19 (ESV) he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God. Hebrews 9:12-14(ESV)and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood Revelation 1:5 (ESV)
Thoughts to Ponder
Looking at the explanation of what Jesus represents, how He sacrificed through pain and suffering and ultimately His death just so that we would be with Him in heaven for ever. Lets us know how much God loves each one of us! So when we pray to be covered with His blood we are asking for the ultimate protection, that which comes from the Creator of the entire universe. Who better to ask for someone’s protection than Him?

Dear Heavenly Father, I don’t mean to sound doubtful or disrespectful, but Lord I have prayed for my friends and family for so many years. Lord; thank you for giving me this encouragement this morning, what an awesome message to hear. Lord I pray that You pour Your Spirit out on them open their lungs so they can breathe You in. Open their eyes remove the scales so that they can see, Lord guide every step that they take. I know nothing is impossible with You and it all happens in Your time. I admit that I am impatient sometimes please help me to see every situation the way You see it so that my knowledge of these issues only grow more and more every day. In Jesus Name Amen.
The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.” Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.” So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.” So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet a vast army. Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.’” Ezekiel 37 1:14 ESV

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. John 3:16-18 ESV

Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. James 1:13-16 ESV

Dear Heavenly Father; help me to see everything the way You see it Lord. I begin to feel sorry for myself convincing my mind that I am the only one that has gone through the things that I am going through, thinking that You have abandoned me, Lord that You are disregarding me. Lord I am sorry all of these are issues in my mind that are making so I do not see all the great irrefutable things You have done for me. Lord eradicate these reservations that I allow to creep into my mind, surround me with all of Your fortifications not allowing these uncertainties to become part of my thoughts or part of my existence. In Jesus Name Amen
There are days when we have convinced ourselves that everything just sucks, it would just be easier to not care and just be who we used to be. Why would we want to do that, times of self-pity, doubt, fear, isolating ourselves, walking around in a stupor. If we look back to what we had was it really always that good? Was a second of self-gratification fulfilling enough to say “that was worth it”? You see God knows what we are going through that is why He, through the bible, has given each one of us directions on how to deal with what we have going on. When we go into self-pity mode He tells us: to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, Ephesians 4:22 ESV When Doubt is creeping in He tells us: the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:6 ESV And when fear has convinced us that there is no way we can do it He lets us know that: Fear and intimidation is a trap that holds you back. Proverbs 29:25 (TPT) We will make so that we become more and more isolated and begin to convince ourselves that its right and begin to blame everyone else: Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment. Proverbs 18:1 ESV When we walk around in this stupor we fail to see or understand what God is doing for us: “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day.” Romans 11:8 ESV . Sometimes it is so difficult not to over emphasize the environment that we have landed in. It has the tendency to make so we put up a shield that we think is the best way to protect ourselves. By doing this we are listening to those little suggestions that are being whispered in our ears. If we would always keep our focus on God instead of all of the distractions that come our way it will help solve a lot of the problems that we face. If we enter every situation with love, even when it seems impossible, it will shield us (Gods shield) from loads of heartache.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 ESV No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17 ESV He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Psalm 91:1-16 (ESV)
So you ask; “How do I do this”? The best way to do this is to get to know Jesus. Read your bible, find a church that follows the bible, make some friends that are believers so that you can have a support system. In the bible God tells us how: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints. Ephesians 6:10-18 ESV
You’ve already put in your time in that God-ignorant way of life, partying night after night, a drunken and profligate life. Now it’s time to be done with it for good. Of course, your old friends don’t understand why you don’t join in with the old gang anymore. But you don’t have to give an account to them. They’re the ones who will be called on the carpet—and before God himself. 1 Peter 4:3-4 MSG

Have you ever had those moments, even weeks, where all you want to do is scream at God and say why; why are you doing this to me. I think if we are honest with ourselves we can all say yes, these times make us feel like God hates us. We need to remember God does not hate us He sent His son to save us from the ultimate punishment hell. When we feel like there is to much for us to bear start counting all of the good things that He has done for you and praise Him. When we praise God, setting our thought and mind on Him, we push out the thoughts of negativity and focus on God instead of focusing on ourselves it will change your mind set. We are not the only ones that have dealt with attacks Paul and David did also and this is what they told us: Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 ESV Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14 ESV Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Psalm 34:19-20 ESV
Since Christ, though innocent, suffered in his flesh for you, now you also must be a prepared soldier, having the same mind-set, for whoever has died in his body is done with sin. So live the rest of your earthly life no longer concerned with human desires but consumed with what brings pleasure to God.1 Peter 4:1-2 TPT

Lord eradicate these reservations that I allow to creep into my mind, surround me with all of Your fortifications not allowing these uncertainties to become part of my thoughts or part of my existence. In Jesus Name Amen
Since Jesus went through everything you’re going through and more, learn to think like him. Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. Then you’ll be able to live out your days free to pursue what God wants instead of being tyrannized by what you want.1 Peter 4:1-2 MSG
When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. John 13:12-15 (ESV)
Throughout the bible we are told to help tend His flock; the broken hearted, widows, children, and hurting people. We have been instructed to serve and not be served, to Love even when you are hated, and to hope even when it seems hopeless.
Dear Heavenly Father, help us to lead the way that You lead, to see the way that You see, to feel the way You feel. Lord surround Your leaders with that impenetrable fiery wall of protection You put around Jerusalem, cover them with Your blood and fill them with the Holy Spirit directing every step they take. In Jesus Name Amen
