Daily Bread Psalm 119:105

Daily Verse

You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44 ESV

Manipulation

Satan prompts men to excesses by which they murder themselves and others, while what he puts into the mind tends to ruin men’s souls. He is the great promoter of falsehood of every kind. He is a liar, all his temptations are carried on by his calling evil good, and good evil, and promising freedom in sin. He is the author of all lies; whom liars resemble and obey, with whom all liars shall have their portion for ever. The special lusts of the devil are spiritual wickedness, the lusts of the mind, and corrupt reasonings, pride and envy, wrath and malice, enmity to good, and enticing others to evil. By the truth, here understand the revealed will of God as to the salvation of men by Jesus Christ, the truth Christ was now preaching, and which the Jews opposed.    Matthew Henrys Concise Commentary

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, be with our leaders, protect them, give them wisdom; help them to look over the welfare of all of their people. Lord give them the wisdom of Solomon (1 Kings 4:29), the protection of your mighty armies (2 Kings 6:17), and give them the love that You have for all of their people. Please help the citizens see that anarchy is not the way to go without law and direction there is confusion. Lord soften peoples hearts so they can see, understand, and follow your direction. In Jesus Name Amen

Follow the Law

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience. For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed. Romans 13:1-7 ESV

The lesson here taught it becomes all Christians to learn and practice, that the godly in the land will always be found the quiet and the peaceable in the land, whatever others are. Matthew Henrys Concise Commentary

Pray for Your Leaders

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 ESV But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare. Jerimiah 29:7 ESV

Daily Bread Psalm 119:105

Daily Verse

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1 ESV

Christians who are well acquainted with the Scriptures, may, in humble dependence on Divine teaching, discern those who set forth doctrines according to the apostles, and those who contradict them.  Matthew Henrys Concise Commentary

There are so many views about the bible, Christ, God and how we should believe or not believe. This has so much to do with how our brains process those things that have happened in our live or throughout history; “psychology”. Those things that have happened in our lives will continually change the view for how we process things. It can be used to manipulate people into believing whatever they are trying to convince themselves and others to believe. There are so many different points of view in the world today; some do not even know that they are being influenced. If we understand what we are told in the bible: And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 NIV and remember Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 ESV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 NIV The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 When we really think about how the devil tries every way he can to deceive us than we can grasp how important it is to read and know the owner’s manual that God has given us. Just by spending ten minutes a day in the bible we can understand the “good news” that Jesus has for us and help us not be misled.

Daily Bread Psalm 119:105

Daily Verse

“Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.” Luke 10:42 TPT

The things of this life will be taken away from us, at the furthest, when we shall be taken away from them; but nothing shall separate from the love of Christ, and a part in that love. Men and devils cannot take it away from us, and God and Christ will not. Let us mind the one thing needful more diligently.   Matthew Henrys Concise Commentary

One day Jesus was at one of His followers houses Martha, she went through her house and made it presentable was she waiting on her guests so that everything was perfect; we all do this when we have company over. Could you imagine how much you’d do if you know that Jesus was stopping by. Mary, Martha’s sister, was there and sitting by Jesus listening to every word that He said. This irritated Martha that her sister would not even help her so much so that she interrupted Jesus and said “it’s not fair tell her to help me” (Luke 10:40 ESV) Jesus the good shepherd and teacher He is; did not rebuke Martha because she interrupted Him. He did not stand up and look at Mary yell at her and tell her to get up and help Martha. Instead He said, “Martha, my beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these many distractions? Are they really that important? Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.” Luke 10:41-42 TPT Sometimes the distractions, busyness, and the fear will keep us from seeing what Jesus is trying to tell us. With everything that is going on right now have you been distracted worried about things and allowing it to pull you away from those things that are important. Right now it sucks because of all that is going on, but this will pass. Have you taken the time to look at what is most important? Take some time and “sit at Jesus feet” His direction will never let you down .

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 ESV

If the Lord the Spirit hath regenerated you, you can be no stranger to this holy warfare. You see then, where your strength lies. Not in tears, not in a brokenness of heart, not in repentance; yea, not in anything of your own, but in Christ. Robert Hawker

What is the fastest way to cause fear, anxiety, loneliness, confusion or any one of the feelings that cause some kind of emotional response? With confusion we are led head first into a storm of feelings that if fed will burn out of control like a wildfire. The devil is like a conductor in a symphony; he has had years to perfect how he guides those he controls and deceives. The devil likes to keep us distracted he’s been doing it since time began, all the way back to the garden of Eden. The devil likes to use things like; “yeah but (garden of Eden Genesis 3), if I (Job 1), if you (Matthew 4) whatever he can use to take your eye off of what is important the devil will use. Remember even the devil disguises himself as an angel of light 2 Corinthians 11:14 ESV When we realize that we understand how much, if we do not keep our eye on God, can be directed into this confusion storm that we put ourselves in.

For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory. Deuteronomy 20:4 ESV

Nothing paralyzes our lives like the attitude that things can never change. We need to remind ourselves that God can change things. Outlook determines outcome. If we see only the problems, we will be defeated; but if we see the possibilities in the problems, we can have victory.     Warren Wiersbe

God’s Victorious Soldiers

There appears a great propriety in the appointment of GOD’S priests to encourage GOD’S people. They who are supposed to be most frequent at a throne of grace may be supposed to know most of the mind of the LORD. And are not ministers peculiarly called upon amidst the spiritual army of the LORD JESUS, to be always forward in animating the faithful soldiers of JESUS, to be strong in the LORD and in the power of his might. Reader! do you not look beyond both ministers and people to contemplate JESUS in all this, as the great High Priest of our profession, going on before, conquering and to conquer, and calling upon his holy army to follow him to glory? Robert Hawker Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2 ESV

Daily Bread Psalm 119:105

Daily Verse

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. 2 Peter 2:1-3 ESV

For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are among you deceive you, and do not listen to the dreams that they dream, for it is a lie that they are prophesying to you in my name; I did not send them, declares the LORD. Jerimiah 29:8-9 ESV

Let men beware how they call those prophets whom they choose after their own fancies, and how they consider their fancies and dreams to be revelations from God. False prophets flatter people in their sins, because they love to be flattered; and they speak smoothly to their prophets, that their prophets may speak smoothly to them. Daily Bread Psalm 119:105

Daily Verse

If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.

Love never gives up.

Love cares more for others than for self.

Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.

Love doesn’t strut,

Doesn’t have a swelled head,

Doesn’t force itself on others,

Isn’t always “me first,”

Doesn’t fly off the handle,

Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,

Doesn’t revel when others grovel,

Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,

Puts up with anything,

Trusts God always,

Always looks for the best,

Never looks back,

But keeps going to the end.

Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be canceled. 1 Corinthians 13:4-10 MSG

All for Love

Love is the best of all, because it is eternal. All else will perish. Our highest attainments will be as the babblings and playthings of childhood. But when we are in touch with the reality of things, love will be all in all. F.B. Meyer

Daily Verse

There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit! Romans 5:3-5 MESSAGE

Urgently Look Up

The precious benefits and privileges which flow from justification are such as should quicken us all to give diligence to make it sure to ourselves that we are justified, and then to take the comfort it renders to us, and to do the duty it calls for from us. The fruits of this tree of life are exceedingly precious. Matthew Henry

Daily Verse

How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Praise be to you, Lord; teach me your decrees. With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word. Psalm 119:9-16 ESV

Being Young

It is a fearful ordeal that every young man and woman has to face, as he or she steps across the dividing boundary between childhood and youth, when parental authority is weakened, and the leading-strings are loosened, and the young swimmer is as it were cut away from the buoys, and has to battle with the waves alone. Alexander MacLaren

I knew better

When I was young I loved to goof of always looking for a ways to have fun. I did things in my life when I was younger that I can say now I am not proud of. I hurt people that loved me always looking for ways to better myself ignoring what I knew was right. Then I hit the stage where girls caught my eye and I can say temptation is a hard thing to fight. We live in a world that teaches us to always do what makes one happy no matter the price. Women, drugs, alcohol, fast cars you name it if there was something that would make me feel some kind of rush/enjoyment I would check it out. I was not raised to be that way as a child I had to be in the house every day to read the bible and spend time with my family in God’s word. I knew better then to do some of the things that I was doing but because of things that happened throughout my childhood I thought there was a better way. I dismissed those teachings I had learned and felt to find that better way. Needless to say there was not; if I had just listened to the teachings that I had read in the bible there sure would have been less hurt and a lot fewer scars. I had the word in my heart I just did everything I could not to access it, I know now that if I had listened to the guide that God gave me, the bible, life would have had fewer obstacles to over come.

Daily Bread Psalm 119:105

Daily Verse

And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. 2 Corinthians 11:12-15 ESV

“Hypocrisy may be looked for, especially when we consider the great power which Satan, who rules in the hearts of the children of disobedience, has upon the minds of many. And as there are temptations to evil conduct, so there is equal danger on the other side.” Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary

I bought some automotive parts from a discount automotive internet site one time. These parts had a high rating on their feedback; hundreds of happy customers had purchased these parts and were ecstatically happy with their quality. When I received them they looked all right, did not look as heavy duty as the original parts I was replacing them with, but that was explained on their site that it was because the metal used to manufacture these parts was higher quality. Well I put them on my car and within a few months they needed to be replaced again. These were suspension parts and if they would have failed it could have caused a terrible accident. I should have known better “if it’s too good to be true it probably is.” That business is no longer around because it turned out that the feedback was fake and had been created by the site owners, this was a long time ago before they have the regulations they do now. Just like the deceitfulness of the devil, he appears to be something that is oh so good but in the long run he will let you down. Nobody likes to get something that is fake or made to look like something it is not. That is why it so imperative to know the bible and have a relationship with God, He gives His Holy Spirit and word, which helps us to know what is right and what is wrong.

Daily Verse

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9 ESV

“Truth is a representation of things as they are; and they were constantly to live under the correct impression of objects. A man who is false to his engagements, or false in his statements and promises, is one who will always disgrace their beliefs.” Albert Barnes

We are driving down the road we turn on our blinker to merge into the lane on the side of us. We start to turn and all of a sudden someone else from behind you swings in to the lane, no blinker, cuts you off and shows you that you are number one. That is so frustrating your knee jerk reaction is to show them they are also number one, but we need to rise above some of those little ingrained automatic reactions. To be pure and to be honorable means that we have to take ourselves out of the normal and become abnormal, rise above it! Yes I know sometimes that is really hard and seems impossible. Pray and thank God that He protected you from something that could have been bad; thank Him that you did not make it worse. Always remember people will look to you for guidance and if we look no different than the world; than what are we saying? We need to make the statement that we are different and that there is a better way.

Crucifixion, His Gift to Us

Crucifixcion
Yours sins are Forgiven

Dear Heavenly Father, the sacrifice that You gave is unimaginable, You humbled Yourself by coming to this world. You didn’t have to! Then from the start You suffered humiliations that would of been unbearable, beaten almost to the point of death and then nailed to a cross and treated like a criminal. You did all of this so that I could be with You and know You; You knew there is no way that I could be perfect. No matter how good I am, no matter how hard I try I can’t do it without You. You walked this path of heartache and dishonor for everyone not just a few. Even with our imperfections You gave Your life up on the cross to cover our wrongdoings with Your blood. Thank you Lord. In Jesus Name Amen

Something to Think About

There is not much that can be said to add to this, His word explains it best. When reading this, read it slowly, praying and reflecting on what it says, let it absorb into your mind. He did so much for us even though we do not deserve it. How many people do you know that would suffer this much just to save your life?

An Unimaginable Sacrifice

The fact is, it was our suffering he took on himself; he bore our pain. But we thought that God was punishing him, that God was beating him for something he did. But he was being punished for what we did. He was crushed because of our guilt. He took the punishment we deserved, and this brought us peace. We were healed because of his pain. We had all wandered away like sheep. We had gone our own way.

And yet the Lord put all our guilt on him. He was treated badly, but he never protested. He said nothing, like a lamb being led away to be killed. He was like a sheep that makes no sound as its wool is being cut off. He never opened his mouth to defend himself. He was taken away by force and judged unfairly. The people of his time did not even notice that he was killed. But he was put to death for the sins of his people. He had done no wrong to anyone. He had never even told a lie. But he was buried among the wicked. His tomb was with the rich. Isaiah 53:4-9 ERV

He entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption (recovery). For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify (approve) for the purification (sanitization) of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God. Therefore he is the mediator (referee) of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance (legacy), since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions (wrongdoings) committed under the first covenant. Hebrews 9:12-15 AMP

“This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant (promise) in my blood. Luke 22:20 ESV Yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession (intervention) for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:12 I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name’s sake. 1 John 2:12 ESV

Letter to Ephesus, a Story of Tenacity

To the Church in Ephesus

1“To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: ‘The words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks among the seven golden lampstands.

“‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false.

I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name’s sake, and you have not grown weary.

But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.

5Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God. Revelation 2:1-7

Have you became so focused on your walk with Jesus that you have become a robot? So focused on trying to be perfect, always making sure that if someone is doing something they should not be without correction, you make sure they are rectified. I know it is hard when God has done so much for us that we do not understand how others can’t see the way we see it. We will become course in our correction, this abrasiveness is unfeeling lacking in love. The bible does say that as; Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Galatians 6:1 ESV So as you can see we are supposed to help correct those who have fallen, but notice that it says in gentleness. Gentleness, in love, tenderness is the key to what it is telling us to do, if you read on it tells you “lest you be tempted”. Be tempted? As it says in Rev 2:4 we are told that you can lose the love that you once had. That is not good we are supposed to love or neighbor, without that love we are doing the opposite of what Jesus told us to do. A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35 ESV So have you ever wondered exactly what love looks like: Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 ESV There are some that have been convinced that because we are Christians that we can do no wrong because God will always forgive us (“do the works you did at first”), that is correct but if we keep on doing the same things over and over again we are told that we need to repent. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. 1 John 3:9 Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? Romans 2:4 ESV Then there are those that have been praying for what is or seems to be years, remember in both instances: The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 ESV My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2 ESV Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2 ESV If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 ESV

Dear Heavenly Father; help me to see everything the way You see it Lord. I begin to feel sorry for myself convincing my mind that I am the only one that has gone through the things that I am going through, thinking that You have abandoned me, Lord that You are disregarding me. Lord I am sorry all of these are issues in my mind that are making so I do not see all the great irrefutable things You have done for me. Lord eradicate these reservations that I allow to creep into my mind, surround me with all of Your fortifications not allowing these uncertainties to become part of my thoughts or part of my existence. In Jesus Name Amen

There are days when we have convinced ourselves that everything just sucks, it would just be easier to not care and just be who we used to be. Why would we want to do that, times of self-pity, doubt, fear, isolating ourselves, walking around in a stupor. If we look back to what we had was it really always that good? Was a second of self-gratification fulfilling enough to say “that was worth it”? You see God knows what we are going through that is why He, through the bible, has given each one of us directions on how to deal with what we have going on. When we go into self-pity mode He tells us: to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, Ephesians 4:22 ESV When Doubt is creeping in He tells us: the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:6 ESV And when fear has convinced us that there is no way we can do it He lets us know that: Fear and intimidation is a trap that holds you back. Proverbs 29:25 (TPT) We will make so that we become more and more isolated and begin to convince ourselves that its right and begin to blame everyone else: Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment. Proverbs 18:1 ESV When we walk around in this stupor we fail to see or understand what God is doing for us: “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day.” Romans 11:8 ESV . Sometimes it is so difficult not to over emphasize the environment that we have landed in. It has the tendency to make so we put up a shield that we think is the best way to protect ourselves. By doing this we are listening to those little suggestions that are being whispered in our ears. If we would always keep our focus on God instead of all of the distractions that come our way it will help solve a lot of the problems that we face. If we enter every situation with love, even when it seems impossible, it will shield us (Gods shield) from loads of heartache.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 ESV No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17 ESV He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place the Most High, who is my refuge no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. ”Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Psalm 91:1-16 (ESV)

So you ask; “How do I do this”? The best way to do this is to get to know Jesus. Read your bible, find a church that follows the bible, make some friends that are believers so that you can have a support system. In the bible God tells us how: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints. Ephesians 6:10-18 ESV

You’ve already put in your time in that God-ignorant way of life, partying night after night, a drunken and profligate life. Now it’s time to be done with it for good. Of course, your old friends don’t understand why you don’t join in with the old gang anymore. But you don’t have to give an account to them. They’re the ones who will be called on the carpet—and before God himself. 1 Peter 4:3-4 MSG

Have you ever had those moments, even weeks, where all you want to do is scream at God and say why; why are you doing this to me. I think if we are honest with ourselves we can all say yes, these times make us feel like God hates us. We need to remember God does not hate us He sent His son to save us from the ultimate punishment hell. When we praise God, setting our thought and mind on Him, we push out the thoughts of negativity and focus on God instead of focusing on ourselves it will change your mind set. We are not the only ones that have dealt with attacks Paul and David did also and this is what they told us: Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14 ESV Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Psalm 34:19-20 ESV

Since Christ, though innocent, suffered in his flesh for you, now you also must be a prepared soldier, having the same mind-set, for whoever has died in his body is done with sin. So live the rest of your earthly life no longer concerned with human desires but consumed with what brings pleasure to God.1 Peter 4:1-2 TPT
