Jesus never separated love from truth. He protected the broken, confronted sin, and offered redemption. His love restored lives because it was rooted in obedience to the Father.
Currently when people talk about love, it usually sounds like this: “If you really love me, you’ll accept everything I do.” In most cases love is often defined as agreement, affirmation, and silence. But if we look at Jesus, we see a very different kind of love, one that is deeper, stronger, and far more life-giving.
Jesus didn’t love people by telling them whatever they wanted to hear. He showed love to them by telling them the truth they needed to hear. “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say? Luke 6:46
We can see in the Bible that Jesus came full of grace and truth. Not grace or truth. Not truth without grace. Both. Always together. That balance is what made His love so powerful. Grace made people feel safe in His presence. Truth made them want to change.
Take a look at how Jesus treated broken people. He welcomed them. He ate with them. He protected them from shame. But He never pretended that sin didn’t matter. At no point did He ever say, “Stay exactly the same.” His love always moved people toward freedom, healing, and obedience to God.
That’s important for us to understand, especially as we are people surrounded by a culture that says love should never challenge anything. Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned. In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber. (2 Peter 2:2-3)
Jesus’ love was not weak. It was courageous.
He loved people enough to confront them. He loved people enough to say the hard things. He loved people enough to risk being misunderstood. Because of this there were times that some people walked away from Him because of it. But Jesus never watered down truth just so He could keep followers.
That kind of love is rare today. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.(Hebrews 12:11)
Throughout our lives we will often face pressure to choose sides: be loving or be truthful. Be kind or be biblical. But Jesus showed us that real love does not compromise truth, and real truth is never spoken without love.
Loving like Jesus means caring more about someone’s future than your current comfort right now.
That’s hard, especially with friends. It’s easier to stay quiet when someone is making choices you know aren’t good. It’s easier to avoid awkward conversations. It’s easier to go along with the crowd than to stand out. Understand that silence isn’t always loving. Sometimes silence is just fear wearing a friendly face.
Loving like Jesus doesn’t mean being rude or judgmental. It means being honest with humility. It means listening before speaking. It means checking your heart before correcting someone. And it means being willing to be patient, even when change doesn’t happen overnight.
Jesus never rushed people, but He also never lied to them.
He met people where they were, but He didn’t leave them there.
That’s the model for us.
This also applies to how Jesus loves you. Sometimes we like Jesus’ comfort more than His correction. We love when He forgives us, encourages us, and reminds us of our worth. But when His Word challenges our habits, relationships, or attitudes, it can make us feel uncomfortable. That doesn’t mean He stopped loving you. It means He loves you enough to grow you.
If you are never challenged by Jesus, you’re probably not listening closely. His love always calls us higher. It invites us to live differently, think differently, and choose differently, not because He wants to control us, but because He knows what leads to life.
If you want to love like Jesus it will mean learning how to love people who disagree with you. Jesus didn’t cancel people. He didn’t insult them. He didn’t compromise the truth either. He stayed grounded, calm, and faithful. He trusted God with every outcome. That’s a challenge for our generation.
You don’t need to win arguments to love like Jesus. You don’t need to be loud to be bold. You just need to stay rooted in truth and motivated by grace. But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. (James 4:6)
So here’s the real question for today: Are you loving people the way Jesus loved, or the way culture tells you to?
Jesus’ love doesn’t just make people feel accepted. It makes people feel invited to repentance, healing, and real life.
And when we learn to love like that, we don’t just represent Jesus well, we become part of how He changes the world. As His followers, we are called to reflect that same balance, firm in truth, rich in mercy, unwavering in hope.
Thoughts to Ponder
How can I reflect Jesus more clearly?
Where do I need balance between truth and grace?
What does Christlike love look like in my life?
Ask God to shape you into a person who loves like Jesus.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, train my mind and heart to discern what is the truth. Let Your Word be my standard and guide me to find the truth. Shape my heart to love as You love. Let my words and actions reflect both truth and grace. Prepare my heart to receive and live Your Word. In Jesus Name Amen.

This verse encourages forgiveness, humility, and surrender, reminding us that bitterness and retaliation only damage the heart, while trusting God brings peace and spiritual freedom.

This verse explains that Jesus’ birth fulfilled the prophecy spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “Behold, a virgin shall be with child.” These verses reveal that Jesus was not an ordinary child, but the promised Messiah sent by God. The name Emmanuel, meaning “God with us,” shows that through Jesus, God came near to humanity to bring salvation, hope, and restoration.

“She has done a beautiful thing to me.” — Mark 14:6
When a woman poured her expensive perfume on Jesus, she offered Him something costly and deeply personal. There were others there who criticized her, but unlike them Jesus saw and knew her heart. Always consider that true worship is not measured by what others think, it’s measured by love and sacrifice. As we approach Easter something to look at and consider is: are we giving Jesus our leftovers, or our best? Never forget to remember that worship that prepares us for the cross is always going to be costly, but it will always be worth it.
Thought to Ponder: Give something meaningful to God today; your time, attention, or a sacrifice that stretches you.
Journal Prompt: What is something valuable I can give to Jesus as an act of true worship?
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, teach me to worship You with sincerity and sacrifice. Take away the distractions and pride, and help me give You my best. Let my life be a beautiful offering that honors You. In Jesus Name Amen.

The deepest wounds are often inflicted by those entrusted to care for our souls. But when earthly shepherds fail, the Good Shepherd never abandons His sheep.
Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy, and say to them, even to the shepherds, Thus says the Lord God: Ah, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding yourselves! Should not shepherds feed the sheep? You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat ones, but you do not feed the sheep. The weak you have not strengthened, the sick you have not healed, the injured you have not bound up, the strayed you have not brought back, the lost you have not sought, and with force and harshness you have ruled them. Ezekiel 34:2–4
The leaders of Jerusalem had done the opposite of what God wanted, they became arrogant and self absorbed. They only looked out for what was good for themselves. God’s rebuke that came through Ezekiel is directed toward leaders who neglected those entrusted to them. They pursued personal gain while ignoring the weak, the wounded, and the vulnerable.
When we read we can see what God expected His faithful shepherds to do:
Strengthen the weak.
Heal the sick.
Bind up the injured.
Seek the lost.
Lead with compassion rather than harshness.
Leadership is measured less by influence and more by a leader’s faithful care.
We can be reassured and realize that when churches fail to care for those who are hurting, Scripture does not excuse that failure. Through the words of Ezekiel we can see that God Himself confronts negligent shepherds. God not only pays attention to the leaders’ conduct but also is concerned for the people who have suffered because of it.
The comforting truth is that God does not abandon His flock when earthly shepherds fail. Later in Ezekiel 34:11 “For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out.” He promises that He Himself will seek His sheep and rescue them. A promise that ultimately points to Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, who lays down His life for His sheep.
For Those Hurt by Church Leaders
When you’ve been hurt by the group that you have called family it can make you feel forgotten, dismissed, or unheard. Know that God declares He sees the wounded sheep. He promises to seek them, gather them, and care for them personally. Understand that your value has never depended on whether earthly leaders or congregations treated you well. Your worth is established by the Shepherd who gave His life for you.
Thought to Ponder
Am I reflecting Christ’s heart by caring for those who are hurting?
Journaling Prompt
What qualities of Jesus as the Good Shepherd bring comfort to me today?
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for never abandoning Your sheep. Lord, heal those who have experienced neglect or abuse in Your Church. Raise up leaders who reflect Your compassion and courage. Be with those who feel stuck or tied to those who are taking advantage of or hurting them. Give them the strength they need to take care of the things they feel they can’t and take the steps they need to take. Please light the path so they can see You through the pain. In Jesus Name Amen.

“A church can survive criticism, but it cannot thrive without integrity. When spiritual leaders forget they answer first to God, the flock always bears the wounds.”
“Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.” James 3:1
Leadership and being a leader in God’s kingdom has never been about prestige or power. It is about stewardship. Every pastor, elder, board member, teacher, deacon, and ministry leader has been entrusted with something sacred, the care of God’s people.
James reminds and emphasizes that those who teach God’s Word carry tremendous responsibility. Those who teach are not merely accountable to a congregation or denomination; they are accountable to God Himself. The words they choose influence lives, shape faith, and help determine whether hurting people draw closer to Christ or withdraw in disappointment.
Sadly, throughout history, if we look, we can see how some leaders have abused this privilege and their authority, ignoring sin, manipulating others, and have even failed to protect those who God has put under their care. There are some that have simply lacked the humility to receive correction or submit themselves to accountability. When this happens these failures can leave deep spiritual wounds.
For those of you that have been hurt by a church leader, or church, know this truth: that leader’s failure, or the church’s disposition does not change God’s character. Jesus remains the Good Shepherd (John 10:11), perfectly faithful even when human shepherds fail.
Likewise, for those who have been called to be a leader, the words James stressed should inspire holy humility rather than fear. A leader’s goal is not perfection but faithful, and complete dependence on Christ, a willingness to repent, and being fully committed to serve rather than be served.
For Those Hurt by Church Leaders
If you’ve been hurt be leaders or the church, your pain matters to God. Being wounded by spiritual leader, or the family you have made in church can make it difficult to trust again. Know that Christ does not ask you to ignore injustice or pretend the hurt never happened. He invites you to bring your wounds to Him, who “heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3).
Forgiveness does not erase accountability. Healing does not require pretending that wrong actions were acceptable. God’s justice and God’s compassion work together.
Thought to Ponder
Am I placing my trust in human leaders, or in Christ, the Chief Shepherd?
Journaling Prompt
How has my experience with church leadership shaped my view of God? What truths from Scripture remind me that God is different from imperfect people?
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, remind me that You alone are the perfect Shepherd. Lord, protect every church from pride and misuse of authority. Heal those who have been wounded by churches and spiritual leaders and give every leader a humble heart that desires correction and faithfulness. Amen.

This verse records Jesus’ response to Satan during His temptation in the wilderness: “It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.” Satan had challenged Jesus to throw Himself from the temple to force divine rescue, but Jesus refused to misuse God’s power. This verse teaches that faith is not reckless testing of God, but humble trust and obedience. We are not called to demand signs, manipulate circumstances, or presume upon God’s protection. True faith follows God’s will rather than forcing His hand. It reminds believers to trust God wisely, reverently, and without arrogance.

Peter reminds believers that trials are not meaningless interruptions to faith; they are often the very tools God uses to strengthen it. Just as gold is purified through intense heat, genuine faith is refined through difficulties, hardships, and seasons of uncertainty. These tests reveal what is real, producing endurance, trust, and spiritual maturity. While suffering can be painful, God is at work, shaping a faith that is more valuable than earthly treasures. One day, when Christ is revealed, the faith that endured through trials will bring glory, honor, and praise to Him.

Though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.
Paul’s testimony reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace. Before encountering Christ, he actively opposed the very faith he would later preach. Yet God’s mercy transformed his life and gave him a new purpose. This passage reveals the depth of Christ’s love and His willingness to forgive even the greatest sins. When we recognize our need for a Savior, we discover that God’s grace is greater than our past failures. Jesus came into the world to save sinners, offering hope, forgiveness, and new life to all who trust in Him.

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
These verses paint a picture of a person who chooses God’s way over the influence of the ungodly. Rather than following sinful advice or embracing worldly values, they delight in God’s Word and meditate on it continually. As a result, they become spiritually strong and fruitful, like a tree planted beside a flowing stream that never lacks nourishment. Even through difficult seasons, they remain rooted, steadfast, and productive. This passage reminds believers that true blessing, stability, and spiritual growth come from a close and consistent relationship with God and His truth.

But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.
James revealed that temptation often begins within our own desires. When sinful desires are entertained rather than resisted, they grow and eventually lead to sinful actions. If sin continues unchecked, it produces spiritual destruction and separation from God’s best for our lives. This passage is a warning to guard your heart and mind carefully, recognizing temptation before it takes root. God provides strength and wisdom to overcome temptation, but victory begins with acknowledging the battle early and choosing obedience over desire. Every small choice matters in your walk with Christ.

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
This reminds us that the people we spend time with have a powerful influence on our thoughts, attitudes, and direction in life. Wise companions encourage godly decisions, strengthen our faith, and help us grow in character. On the other hand, continually following foolish influences can lead us away from God’s best. This verse is an invitation to evaluate our relationships and seek friendships that inspire wisdom, integrity, and spiritual growth. The company we keep today often shapes the person we become tomorrow.

Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.
We can see here that Paul gives a powerful warning: the people and influences we allow into our lives can shape our character, beliefs, and choices. Good intentions alone are not enough to overcome constant negative influences. Just as iron sharpens iron, unhealthy relationships and ungodly influences can slowly pull us away from God’s truth. This verse encourages believers to be discerning about their friendships, entertainment, and daily influences. God desires us to surround ourselves with people who encourage faith, integrity, wisdom, and a closer walk with Him.

This means avoiding harmful, careless, or destructive speech and choosing words filled with grace, truth, and kindness. “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light,
In this verse Jesus teaches that what we focus on shapes our entire life. Just as a lamp illuminates a room, our spiritual vision influences our thoughts, attitudes, and actions. When our eyes are fixed on God, His truth, and His kingdom, our lives are filled with spiritual light, wisdom, and direction. On the other hand, when we continually focus on sinful, worldly, or unhealthy influences, darkness can begin to cloud our judgment. This verse is a challenge to carefully consider what we are allowing into our hearts and minds, knowing that our focus ultimately affects our walk with God.

The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
In this verse Jesus teaches that what comes out of our mouths reveals what is stored in our hearts. Words are not random; they are the overflow of our inner thoughts, attitudes, and spiritual condition. A heart filled with God’s truth, love, and wisdom will produce encouraging and life-giving words. Conversely, a heart consumed by bitterness, anger, or selfishness will eventually reveal those things through speech. This verse challenges believers to focus not only on their words but also on cultivating a heart that is continually transformed by God’s presence and His Word.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you may be no priest to me. Because you have forgotten your God’s law, I will also forget your children.
This is a sobering warning about the danger of rejecting God’s truth. The verse says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge,” revealing that spiritual ignorance can lead to ruin, confusion, and separation from God. This lack of knowledge is not simply the absence of information, but the refusal to know and obey God’s ways. The verse especially addresses leaders who failed to teach truth faithfully. This verse reminds believers today of the importance of studying Scripture, seeking wisdom, and living by God’s Word so that lives, families, and communities can be guided by truth and protected.

They shouted “Hosanna” like a King was arriving, but didn’t realize a Savior was surrendering. Don’t just celebrate Jesus for what you want Him to do, honor Him for who He truly is.
Those who went in front and those who followed cried out, “Hosanna!* Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Mark 11:9
When Jesus entered Jerusalem as a humble King, and not as the political ruler people expected. He came as the Savior they desperately needed. The crowd was excited and praised Him, but most of them misunderstood His mission. If we are honest with ourselves we can do the same, celebrating Jesus while resisting His true authority in our lives. Sometimes we will overwhelmingly proclaim Jesus until it makes us uncomfortable or it gets in the way of something we want to do. This week, Easter week, begins with honest reflection: do we welcome Jesus fully, or only partially? True worship starts with surrender, looking past the end of our nose to see what is beyond, not just praise.
Thought to Ponder: Take 10 minutes to invite Jesus into every area of your life, especially the ones you’ve held back.
Journal Prompt: Where in my life am I praising Jesus, but not fully surrendering to Him?
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I welcome You not just as Savior, but as King over every part of my life. Remove my misunderstandings, illusions, and shame. Please help me see You clearly, distinctively, and understandably. Teach me to surrender fully and follow You wholeheartedly. In Jesus Name Amen.
*Hosanna:
The word Hosanna comes from Hebrew: “hoshia na”, which means “save us now”, “please save.” or “help us, we pray”.Over time, especially in worship, it also became a joyful expression meaning “salvation has come!” or “praise to the Savior.”
It’s a word that holds both desperation and hope, need and faith, all at the same time.

But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction. Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned. In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber.
Peter warns that false teachers will arise among believers, quietly introducing destructive lies while appearing convincing. They exploit others with smooth words and twisted truth, driven by greed and self-interest rather than faithfulness to God. Though they may seem successful for a time, their judgment is certain. This passage calls believers to stay discerning, grounded in truth, and alert to teachings that distort the gospel for personal gain.

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. The defining mark of true discipleship: love modeled after Christ. Jesus doesn’t call us to ordinary…
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good. In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor prefer one another, not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles, continuing steadfastly in prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints,…
To him therefore who knows to do good and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin. Obedience is not only about avoiding wrong, but also about doing what is right. Knowing God’s will carries responsibility. When we ignore opportunities to act with love, justice, or faith, complacency becomes disobedience. This verse calls for courageous…
No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh. He gives us deep assurance in a hostile world. God does not promise the absence of opposition, but He…
I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, even so I have sent them into…
Saul was consenting to his death. A great persecution arose against the assembly, which was in Jerusalem in that day. They were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except for the apostles. Devout men buried Stephen and lamented greatly over him. But Saul ravaged the assembly, entering into every house and dragging…
He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord will have them in derision. Then he will speak to them in his anger, and terrify them in his wrath: “Yet I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion.” While nations rage and human power schemes, God remains unshaken and sovereign. He…
But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul. God calls His people to endurance, not retreat. When fear, suffering, or weariness tempt us to pull away, this verse reminds us who we are, those who believe and are saved. Faith…
Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Faith is meant to be lived together, not in isolation. God calls believers to stir one another…
So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God, being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone; in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you…
Saul was consenting to his death. A great persecution arose against the assembly which was in Jerusalem in that day. They were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except for the apostles. Devout men buried Stephen and lamented greatly over him. But Saul ravaged the assembly, entering into every house and dragged both…
I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. This reminds us that Christ builds His church, not human strength or strategy. Founded on the truth of who Jesus is, the church stands secure against every attack. Darkness…
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. This reveals a sobering truth: pride resists God, but humility receives grace. God is not drawn to self-reliance or arrogance, He responds to surrendered hearts. When we humble ourselves, we open the door to His strength, guidance,…
All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. This reminds us that God’s discipline is rarely pleasant in the moment, but it is always purposeful. Correction shapes character and produces lasting righteousness. When hardship…
Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned. In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber. This is a warning that false teaching can spread quickly, appealing to desires rather than…
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say? This verse confronts the gap between words and obedience. Calling Jesus “Lord” means surrendering our will to His. True discipleship shows up in daily choices, not religious language. This verse invites honest reflection: are we listening and doing? When obedience…
That we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error This is a warning against spiritual immaturity that leaves believers tossed by trends and deceptive teaching. God desires stability, not confusion. Growing in truth…
What the world calls waste, Jesus calls worship, your sacrifice for Him is never overlooked. Bold, extravagant faith stands out in a culture that misunderstands true devotion.

But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction. This warns that false teaching often rises from within, not outside. Deception can sound spiritual while leading hearts astray. This…
God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds. His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image…
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created in the heavens and on the earth, visible things and invisible things, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in…
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. These verses reveal the heart of God, love that…
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and…
Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way. David invites God to search his heart, not to condemn him, but to lead him. Psalm 139:23–24 models courageous humility welcoming God’s examination and correction. When…
But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Jesus reminds us that even the smallest details of our lives are known by God. Matthew 10:30 declares that every hair on our head is counted, revealing God’s intimate care and sovereignty. When fear rises, remember you are never overlooked. Trust that your Father sees, values,…
Whoever loves correction loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid. The Bible teaches teaches that loving discipline is a sign of wisdom, not weakness. Correction can sting, but it shapes character and protects us from greater harm. Those who reject instruction close the door to growth. A humble heart welcomes guidance, knowing God…
Holding to the faithful word which is according to the teaching, that he may be able to exhort in the sound doctrine, and to convict those who contradict him. As believers we are called to hold firmly to sound doctrine so truth shapes both belief and behavior. Faithfulness is not passive it requires commitment to…
So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12 invites us to live with awareness that time is a gift. Numbering our days shapes our priorities, humbles our pride, and sharpens our obedience. When we remember life’s brevity, we seek wisdom, not distraction, and invest each day…
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel”
