We always need to make sure we stand behind our values. People are always gonna attack us. Keep in mind that if people hadn’t stood behind their values the slaves wouldn’t be free. We would still be sacrificing people to deities that are not real. It would’ve been considered acceptable to have had people put in concentration camps and gas chambers. And there’d still be people in white hoods burning crosses in innocent peoples yards. It is so important to read our Bibles so that we can understand exactly what God wants.
Consider the fact that when they were putting people in concentration camps, and in the gas chambers, they were convinced that they were right. It was the “best thing” for society that surrounded those areas, they said that the Jewish people were lower class, a disease that needed to be exterminated. The crosses that were being burnt in peoples front yards were also evaluated as acceptable because once again society said that they were parasites.
It is also why they had something called the Great Crusades. The crusades were created to effectively give certain persons nobility and increased power. Through the whole thing they claimed it was done in the name of God. The reality was that it was a humans fight to gain control over others, ego. It is why it is so important that we know exactly what God wants. We need to understand what He says when we are told to love your neighbor, John 13:34-35. In Matthew we are told we cannot serve two masters; we can’t serve the world and serve God at the same time.
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon. Matthew 6:24 ESV
I know this seems hard right now when every time you try to say something you’re considered to be something you’re not. You’re considered to be a racist, xenophobe, or whatever is the trigger word for that week. But as a Christian; it is our responsibility when people are walking around right now trying to find comfort in stuff like drugs. Comforting themselves in things that do not last. They try to convince themselves that what they’re doing is all right even though if they really look what they are doing they know it’s wrong.
As a Christian we have the answer to help those who are struggling. It is our responsibility to introduce others to The only way to get past all of this chaos. Share the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. Do our best to make sure that everyone around our circle knows the love that He shares and what He offers. Make sure you don’t allow others to convince you that by sharing this love you’re sharing something that is hateful and disgusting. It’s quite the opposite, be confident and know you’re trying to hold up people and trying to show them what God wants for them.
We need to be proud of how and who God made us to be. When we understand that we are exactly who we’re supposed to be, we are exactly who God made us to be, you know the purpose of life, love. We can give so much comfort to those who are confused and misunderstanding who and what they are.
Dear Heavenly Father; help us to be immovable in those things that you want us to do. Give me the strength to take every step in the direction that You want me to go. Give me the sight to see those things that are wrong that you want to be fixed, while helping me not be distracted. In Jesus Name Amen

Thankfulness seems to be a lost art today. Warren Wiersby illustrated this problem in his commentary on Colossians. He told about a ministerial student in Evanston, Illinois, who was part of a life-saving squad. In 1860, a ship went aground on the shore of Lake Michigan near Evanston, and Edward Spencer waded again and again into the frigid waters to rescue 17 passengers. Sometimes we look around and wonder why all of the junk that surrounds us is a continual onslaught that never seems to end. Sometimes we find ourselves asking, is this worth it?
There is an example we are given in the bible and when we read about everything that happened the faith shown was unmovable. This guy had everything taken from him, his wealth, his health, and his family. The example that I am talking about is Job.
Job followed God in a way that so many of us should strive to accomplish. We are told God said:for there is no one like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil.” Job 1:8 WEB
In one day Job had everything taken from him:

Transportation Job 1:17
Children Job 1:18
We are told that we need to persevere, he’s got your back even when it doesn’t seem like it: We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28 WEB

Rest in the Lord wait for His direction and walk in His strength. Spread your wings and fly leaving the “stuff” that’s weighing you down and never looking back. Resting in the Lord would includes focusing on Him.

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior there will be times when we mess up. We are human, not perfect, there was only one man that was perfect and He is in heaven with the Father. There will be those that will point out that you are a hypocrite, usually it is yourself more than others. There is a set of verses that is in the bible right after one of the most popular verses in scripture. The verse let us know that Jesus came to save us in John 3:16 and in the next two verses we are reassured that He came to be our mediator. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. He who believes in him is not judged. John 3:17-18 WEB
There will be times when we mess up but if we keep putting one foot in front of the other He will always be there. Be Prepared
I talk a lot about reading the bible and I cannot say it enough the only way to stay in the light is to know where it is. In the bible it talks about the need to test the spirits to make sure that they are from God 1 John 4:1. We have been warned the devil poses as an angel of light 2 Corinthians 11:14. So the only way to discern, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, what is from God is to know the owners manual that He has given us.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear, having a good conscience. Thus, while you are spoken against as evildoers, they may be disappointed who curse your good way of life in Christ. 1 Peter 3:15-16 WEB
Choose Your Light
We have a choice to make in our lives that will determine our eternal life, follow Jesus or follow the world. He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. John 4:9-10

Human Behavior
We, Humans, have a tendency to not take responsibility for actions even at times blaming others for what we have done. We are in a relationship and we can never do wrong never accepting that we might also be 50% of the problem. We get pulled over and get a ticket because we were speeding, we argue with the officer because we know we were not. We are fishing and take that one extra fish, we get checked by the Game Warden and receive a fine. We then try to argue and reason with the officer even though we made the decision to keep the extra fish.
Don’t get me wrong, there are some actions that have taken place that we have had no control over. But if we keep walking in what happened to us in the past we’ll never leave those circumstances. Let’s look at the positive and negative actions of this focus. The positive; because history has a way of repeating itself we remember these things so that we’ll try to make sure they never happen again. The negative; sometimes we have a tendency to focus on this bad and never see anything else, I do this sometimes. This mindset is hard to get out of once we have put ourselves there. This will keep us in a state of always being victimized, not allowing us to move beyond what happened.
What the Bible Says
But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 3:13-14 WEB And they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will. 2 Timothy 2:26 ESV For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Galatians 5:13 ESV
Some advice
I have Multiple Sclerosis and with all of the issues that get tossed at me on a daily basis I have done two things that has always kept me afloat. I always pray and I always try to find at least one positive thing that happened in the bad. These two things have helped me get through not being able to walk for awhile, see and hear. The positive is that it comes and goes, there are a lot of things I used to do I cannot do anymore. But I got new things that I would have never done if I would not have gotten the MS.

Rest in the Lord wait for His direction and walk in His strength. Spread your wings and fly leaving the “stuff” that’s weighing you down and never looking back. Resting in the Lord would includes focusing on Him.
Praising Him and surrounding yourself in His word. Like any other exercise regiment the best way to keep up your strength is through repetitions. Always praise Him, always focus on Him, and always listen to the words He has given us.

When we become aware of who we are at a young age we have to start making choices. As a baby, even though we will not remember, we made the choice to first pull ourselves up, start to crawl and finally walk. Each decision we make no matter how small has some kind of consequence positive or negative.
We are hungry and want to grab something to eat. We could go to a fast food restaurant or could cook a meal. The positive of the fast food; it is quick and you don’t have to do the work. The negative; you do not know what is in the food that you are eating and the ingredients that are used are not good for your body. In the long run you’ll have the possibility of getting heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and few other conditions. Eating out also costs more than eating a homemade meal.
The positives of eating a home cooked meal. You can make something that you like, that tastes good, it is healthy and you have control of the ingredients. Eating at home costs less and you can use higher quality food. The negative of homemade, it takes time to cook, you have to do the work, and you have to clean up the mess.
Choose Your Light
We have a choice to make in our lives that will determine our eternal life, follow Jesus or follow the world. He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.
For everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.” John 3:18-21 WEB

Human Behavior
We, Humans, have a tendency to not take responsibility for actions even at times blaming others for what we have done. We are in a relationship and we can never do wrong never accepting that we might also be 50% of the problem. We get pulled over and get a ticket because we were speeding, we argue with the officer because we know we were not. We are fishing and take that one extra fish, we get checked by the Game Warden and receive a fine. We then try to argue and reason with the officer even though we made the decision to keep the extra fish.
Don’t get me wrong, there are some actions that have taken place that we have had no control over. But if we keep walking in what happened to us in the past we’ll never leave those circumstances. Let’s look at the positive and negative actions of this focus. The positive; because history has a way of repeating itself we remember these things so that we’ll try to make sure they never happen again. The negative; sometimes we have a tendency to focus on this bad and never see anything else, I do this sometimes. This mindset is hard to get out of once we have put ourselves there. This will keep us in a state of always being victimized, not allowing us to move beyond what happened.
What the Bible Says
But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 3:13-14 WEB And they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will. 2 Timothy 2:26 ESV For you were called to freedom, brothers. Some advice
I have Multiple Sclerosis and with all of the issues that get tossed at me on a daily basis I have done two things that has always kept me afloat. I always pray and I always try to find at least one positive thing that happened in the bad. These two things have helped me get through not being able to walk for awhile, see and hear. The positive is that it comes and goes, there are a lot of things I used to do I cannot do anymore. But I got new things that I would have never done if I would not have gotten the MS.

Fighting the Dark

If we do not pay attention history, because of human nature, history will repeat itself over and over again. There have been moves to erase the disgusting tragedies that have happened throughout history, yes it is appalling I agree. But if we do not know or study how it happened why it happened or what led up to it we’ll never see if it is happening again.

When these things get destroyed, erased, or changed to fit an agenda we are experiencing a tragedy that cannot be repaired. We can recover some of the lost information but never in its original content. We are told that when we get to know God however we need to:

I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:18-19ESV Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. These are directions for when we become new believers. We need to understand that because of God’s grace, even though we do not deserve it You have been forgiven, you have and Advocate, Jesus Christ, who is your personal representative .
If we always focus on all of the bad that we have done in the past, because non of us are perfect I know I am not, we will drive ourselves crazy. The devil will always use your past to whisper in your ear constantly reminding you how there is noway you are good enough and that you are too bad.
But on the opposite side of the issue He never tells us to forget our past. What has happened throughout history we are told that we need to know and not forget. Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you. Deuteronomy 32:7
For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Pay Attention
Right know there is a movement to fundamentally change history, society, and faith. Statues are being toppled in the name of justice. It is being done through a need to make things better, being disguised as love. As Christians we need to make sure that we are paying attention making sure that it is being done out of love through God’s eyes not love through human want and desire.
A Need to Control
Throughout history we can see the want for a human utopia, which we had and was destroyed by human desire. People want a society where everyone is taken care of, everyone gets along and no one goes hungry. In the 4th Century BCE Plato wrote about it in the “Republic“, in 1516 “Utopia” was written by Thomas More detailing an ideal society where the government controlled everything for the good of the people. Finally; the most cited book on the topic that is currently being cited is Karl Marx’s book the “Communist Manifesto.”
What about Religion
There are those who will point out that Christian’s are not innocent in the atrocities that have happened throughout history. I want to point out first that Jesus taught that we need to love each other and turn the other check. These things that where done in the name of Jesus were done through peoples want to control and ultimate domination.
In the Encyclopedia of Wars a 3 Volume Set Charles Phillips, it says that about 7% of war have been attributed to religion. There are a few things that look too of been missed and the number looks to be closer to about 25%. So claims from some popular writers and historians that the majority of wars is caused by religion is based on opinion and a personal agenda.
To Love is to Accept Everything? A Warning
There are “churches” right now that are telling their congregations to accept everything and love it all, which is opposite of what we have been told in the bible. We have been told to pay attention so that we are not deceived by the ambitions of our human selfishness. This is not a new thing they dealt with it in the past, it is mentioned in Revelation 2:12-17 because of a group called the Nicolaitans.
For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are among you deceive you, and do not listen to the dreams that they dream, for it is a lie that they are prophesying to you in my name; I did not send them, declares the Lord. Jeremiah 29:8-9
Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously and looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ [which will bring you] to eternal life. And have mercy on some, who are doubting; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy but with fear, loathing even the clothing spotted and polluted by their shameless immoral freedom. Jude 1:21-23 AMP
Remember
In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4 ESV We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 1 John 5:19 ESV If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Something to Think About, Do Not Be Deceived
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1ESV If we do not know the bible the devil will use whatever he can to deceive you, slick talkers, quotes you want to hear, and condemnation. Read the account of Jesus being tempted in the wilderness in Matthew 4:1-25. This will show you that the devil even went as far as to try and use the bible to make everything he was saying to Jesus legitimate. Make sure that you read and know the bible so that for your sake you are never deceived by smooth talkers. By all means do not believe anything that I am saying or for that matter anybody else look to Gods word and compare it to all that you have been told and heard. If it does not match, if it has been added to, and if it is at all questionable, IT IS NOT FROM GOD AND IT IS NOT RIGHT!
How To Be Protected from Deception
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, too stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. Dear Heavenly Father, please give me insight and wisdom to make sure that I am never deceived. Thank you for the word that you have given me to fight off false teaching, people who try to twist Your words and those who use it to fulfill an agenda. Lord always cover me with your armor in Ephesians 6 protect me from those who have been deceived and always show me the direction that you want me to go. In Jesus Amen

In the book of Hosea, we are given a harsh but eye opening rebuke; My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge Hosea 4:6 ESV We are always so “busy” to read the bible, and to spend time praying and getting to know God. I am not trying to throw stones I am guilty of it also. After a long hard day we want to come home sit down and relax. We have put in so many hours or getting up fifteen minutes early will take a few minutes of desperately need sleep. We can admit we can find an extra 10 mins here or there that we could spare. There are many things and issues that distract us and take away the time we have. What is 10 mins. in the scope of eternity: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 ESV
Perspective
Our lives are so short compared to the opportunity that we have been given through a life following Jesus Christ. We have a decision that can be made that will end with two separate but important results. One living with the best Dad you could ask for. The other decision is living with an abusive guardian that will torture you for the rest of eternity. In reality our lives are short and pass by so fast. We need to make that decision as soon as we can. Like Christ’s return we do not know the time or the number of days that we have. We have not been told that we are going to be perfect. There was only one that walked this earth that was perfect, His name was Jesus Christ. Do not beat yourself up when making a mistake ask for forgiveness and do your best not to do it again. For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. James 3:2 ESV
Rebuked
There will be some that accept the lie that there is nothing, it is sad what do they have to live for. They will belittle some, yell and scream at others, and they will try to make you doubt what you are doing. Stand firm and pray for them be the light they need. Like moths to a lamp, they will flock to what is good, after all isn’t that what we all want? And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:3-6 ESV
Be the light and let God sow the seeds that have been planted by the light and love that you have shared. Remember, the God of this world has been around longer than we have. He is jealous and wants to destroy every thing that God, the one true God has created. The devil has created so much division in the world. Looking around, the gospel is not the only thing being rebuked. Families, truth, science, even common sense. I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. Romans 16:17-18 ESV
Smooth Talkers
There are so many things when we look around that are deceiving massive amounts of people. If we know the Bible and what it says we will create a huge road block that is hard to bypass, like a hedge of protection. There are so many versions of people trying to be spiritual. Different ways to make it to God, those claiming theirs is the right way, do not be deceived. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you arenot alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:5-14ESV

When we have a question, a problem, need encouragement or anything else God wrote it down so we have His help in everything! All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.2 Timothy 3: 16-17

As we get rid of the “stuff” that is always #haunting us we will be attacked, our war is a #spiritualwar Ephesians 6:12 that is being fought for our souls. So when things are going good expect that there will be road blocks 2 Timothy 3:12. Some get ticked off because of the attacks; can I give you some perspective? You are that important to God that the devil is attacking you trying to make you doubt what you are doing trying to make you think that you are not worth it or even making you think that you are doing it wrong.
What have you ever done that was worth something and was easy to do? Sit back smile and know that you are loved by God, you’ve been chosen John 15:16, you are being attacked by someone so consumed by jealousy he wants to destroy you, the devil is attacking you. The definition of Doubt: a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction, questioning the truth, fear and being afraid. When you let all of that “junk” in do you think you will be able to see clearly? Remember when you feel like you are drowning look to your guide. The one that if you allow him will be your life preserver, the light to your path John 1:5.
Know that when you are in the thick of it we are reassured: If anyone stirs up strife, it is not from me; whoever stirs up strife with you shall fall because of you. Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals and produces a weapon for its purpose. I have also created the ravager to destroy; no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. As the light is being shed on all of the chaos. It is creating doubt making us stop and wonder why and how can people not see what is going on. Some have become so delusional that they are praising what is going on as being good. There are attacks on our children, our families, and values.
All of the distractions, are leading us away from the direction that Jesus told us we are a “a light to the world.” We need to stop covering the light. No matter how dark it seems or is we should never let the dark cover our light. Uncover and find that light, shout it out and let it shine.
You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16 WEB
This has all been prophesied throughout the Bible the surest and only way to navigate through every thing that is going on is to follow the map we have been given, the Bible. We have Jesus’ words and the Holy Spirit as our personal guides.

He Chose You

Your Not of This World
For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin. His Light is Becoming Brighter
But the Spirit says expressly that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons, through the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron, forbidding marriage and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 1 Timothy 4:1-3 WEB
How to Fight the Dark
Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood,
but against the principalities,
against the powers,
against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age,
and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist,
and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace,
above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
And take the helmet of salvation,
and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit,
and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB

When we look around and wonder what is going on. All of The confusion, those things that make us stop and wonder. Mean while they are being praised as being good. Attacks on our children, our families, and values.
If we focus on all of these distractions, because that is all that they are. Jesus told us that we are a light to the world and that we need to stop covering the light. We need to stop letting the dark cover our light, shout it out and let it shine.
You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16 WEB
This has all been prophesied throughout the Bible the surest and only way to navigate through every thing that is going on is to follow the map we have been given, the Bible. We have Jesus’ words and the Holy Spirit as our personal guides.

Sometimes we look around and wonder what is going on, I do. The confusion, all the things that make us stop and shake our heads are being praised as being good. Attacks on our children, our families, and values.
It seems like the more offensive it is the greater it is being praised. Crime is up all over the world. There are leaders that are only looking out for their own interests and not that of the people they are in charge of. There are wars and rumors of wars. It seems to be coming from all sides:
Our Children
Sickness
Division
Natural Disasters
Wars
Energy Shortages
The Economy
This has all been prophesied throughout the Bible the surest and only way to navigate through every thing that is going on is to follow the map we have been given, the Bible. We have Jesus’ words and the Holy Spirit as our personal guides.

Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings.
