Texas child‑exploitation crackdown leads to 276 arrests and 89 children rescued, authorities say

A sweeping two‑month child‑exploitation crackdown across Texas has led to 276 arrests and the rescue of 89 children, federal and local authorities announced this week. Officials called Operation Soteria Shield one of the state’s largest coordinated efforts to combat online predators. The initiative, led by FBI Dallas and dozens of Texas law enforcement agencies, ran from March to April 2026. Those arrested face charges ranging from possession, distribution, and production of child sexual abuse material to online solicitation, trafficking, and sexual assault. The 89 rescued children include previously unidentified victims.  The crackdown brought together 91 agencies and 197 personnel, including investigators, analysts, digital‑forensics specialists, prosecutors, and child‑advocacy partners.

Targeting online child exploitation Operation Soteria Shield focused on identifying people who target children across social media, messaging apps, and other online platforms. Investigators pursued suspects accused of creating, sharing, or possessing child sexual abuse material, soliciting minors online, trafficking children, committing sexual assault, and other forms of exploitation. Officials said the cases remain active and additional charges are likely as forensic reviews continue. The effort was announced by the FBI Dallas’ North Texas Child Exploitation Task Force and the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Leaders stress trauma and teamwork Leaders from the FBI and the police departments of Dallas, Plano, Wylie, Garland, and Fort Worth emphasized the importance of interagency cooperation and the lasting trauma these crimes inflict on victims. “This would not have been successful without the resolve of each participating agency,” said FBI Dallas Special Agent in Charge R. Joseph Rothrock. “These are not victimless crimes,” Dallas Police Chief Daniel C. Comeaux said.

“They leave lasting trauma on children and families. I am incredibly proud of the work of our investigators and every agency partner who helped make this operation successful.” “Every child deserves to grow up safe, protected, and free from exploitation,” Plano Police Chief Ed Drain said. “This operation reflects our shared commitment to defend children wherever abuse occurs, whether that is in a home, on a device or through an online platform. The work done by these investigators has changed lives.”

Calls for an end to the sexualisation of children in schools

woman writing on a whiteboard

The Coalition for Marriage (C4M) has called for an end to the sexualisation of children in schools and has denounced plans for a “summer of sex” at Westminster. C4M pointed to official guidelines on sex education as well as some concerning cases that suggest many children are being exposed to inappropriate material and are being indoctrinated into a certain view of sex and sexuality. According to government guidelines children as young as three can be taught about where babies come from, while from age five they can be taught that same gender parents are the equivalent of opposite gender parents.

At age 12 they can be taught that it is their right to have sex, despite it being illegal to do so until age 16. Richard Lucas, leader of the Scottish Family Party, told C4M that such material “corrupts young minds”, adding that such education rarely, if ever, mentions marriage as the proper and most stable framework within which sexual relations can take place. C4M reports that sex education has sometimes gone so far that even secular authorities have felt the need to intervene. It pointed to a school on the Isle of Man, which in 2023 suspended sex education after 11-year-old children were allegedly traumatised by lessons that covered oral and anal sex, how an artificial penis can be created for a sex change operation, and the number of genders there supposedly are.

In one incident, a drag queen allegedly sent an upset child out of class after the child insisted there are two genders, rather than the 73 being claimed by the drag queen. The school later said that the pupil had been temporarily removed from the room by a teacher, not the drag queen, and not because of the guest speaker’s conversation about inclusion but to remind the pupil that they did “not have to agree with the guest speaker” but “must show respect”. C4M has also taken issue with plans this summer by Labour MP Samantha Niblett to launch a “summer of sex” in collaboration with Cindy Gallop, founder of MakeLoveNotPorn, which, despite the name, is in fact a pornography website.

MakeLoveNotPorn claims to differ from “traditional” pornography by featuring ordinary people having sex as opposed to professional “performers”. Gallop also runs a sex education site which is aimed at ages “0 to 18 and beyond”. Dr Tony Rucinski, Director of Supporter Strategy at C4M, suggested that the “summer of sex” was yet more evidence of the mainstreaming of inappropriate sexual material in public. The Christian Institute has also hit out at the plans, with spokesperson Angus Saul saying: “Explaining to children and other young people that pornography presents a distorted view of relationships is a laudable objective, but this campaign is only going to give a very mixed message by suggesting that some porn is good and some is bad.

“This will only confuse people further, and will surely detract from the work going on elsewhere to limit children’s access to pornography and reverse the damage this material has wreaked on society.”

How social media is driving teens toward steroids and extreme body transformations

a muscular shirtless men flexing

A growing number of teenage boys are chasing dramatic body transformations online — building massive muscles, shedding fat and documenting it all for millions to see.  But behind some of the viral physiques lies a troubling trend: the use of a powerful drug never approved for humans.

A rapid transformation — and a risky choice

At 16 years old, Zaid Laila says he didn’t want to spend years working out to build a body like those he saw online.  “Why wait 10 years … when I could do it in less than a year,” he said. The high school student from suburban Dallas began documenting his journey on social media, where his transformation quickly drew attention. His videos show a leaner, more muscular physique — the kind often celebrated across social media platforms. But Laila is open about how he got there: “A lot of steroids and a lot of working out.” He told CBS News he’s been using anabolic steroids for about 10 months, including trenbolone, a powerful drug developed for livestock and never approved for human use.

Sunny Hostin Says It Is Better To Not Be Born Than Be Poor

According to Sunny Hostin, it is better not to be born at all than to grow up poor. This is because in her eyes, children are for the elites, such as herself, while you should not be afforded such a blessing. Isabel Brown delivered a message at CPAC to the younger generation: Get married and have kids. As far as life goals go, this should be one of the most noncontroversial messages in the history of messages. However, this was a problem for the ladies on “The View,” as they mocked those who desire such a lifestyle.

Sadistic lesbian foster moms made boy, 12, wear soaking wetsuit and joked ‘Shiver, shiver dumb f**k’ before his horrific death, murder trial hears

GNN. BREAKING NEWS GLOBAL CRISIS UNFLODS. EMERGENCY SUMMIT CALLED - MARKET VOLABLITY - EVACATIONS UNERWAY.

Two lesbian foster moms tortured a 12-year-old boy by forcing him to wear a soaking wetsuit as they mocked him in gut-wrenching messages before he was tragically found dead, prosecutors claim. The disturbing claims about the death of the Canadian child, identified only as LL, have come to light during the murder trial of Becky Hamber, 44, and 46-year-old Brandy Cooney. LL, who died on December 21, 2022, was found soaking wet, unresponsive, and emaciated in the basement of the couple’s Toronto-area home before being pronounced dead at the hospital, the court was told.

Attorneys finished their closing arguments on Friday, as both women have denied charges of first-degree murder, unlawful confinement, and assault with a weapon, according to Law & Crime.  Prosecutors used their final remarks to detail how the women allegedly starved LL and his younger brother, who has been identified as JL, and forced them to wear wetsuits and helmets. The foster mothers, who were in the process of adopting the boys, did it because they ‘hated’ the boys, attorneys told the court.

 Because Still Standing Counts

The pain of discipline may sting today, but we are reminded that endurance turns today’s struggle into tomorrow’s strength, producing a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who refuse to quit. 💪📖🔥

All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11

Growth is usually not comfortable. Discipline, correction, and perseverance will feel painful in the moment, but God uses them to shape who we become. If life feels hard right now, this doesn’t mean God is absent. It may mean He’s creating something strong in you. Endurance today becomes peace and maturity tomorrow.

Thoughts to Ponder:
Instead of resisting the struggle, ask God what He’s teaching you.

Journaling Prompt:

Think about a difficult season or challenge you are currently facing.

  • How might God be using this struggle to shape your character, strengthen your faith, or teach you perseverance?

Write about what endurance looks like for you right now and what spiritual “harvest” you hope God will produce through it.

  • What practical step can you take today to remain faithful and keep moving forward?

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, help me to always trust You when growth hurts. Use this season to make me stronger and closer to You. In Jesus Name Amen

Protecting the Least Is Gospel Work

back view of a bouncer

What if the way you live today could either strengthen someone’s faith, or quietly destroy it?

But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea. Matthew 18:6

Jesus’ warning about causing children to stumble is one of the strongest statements He ever made. This shows us how seriously God views the protection of the vulnerable. In a culture that celebrates impact, growth, and visibility, the church must remember that faithfulness is measured by obedience, not numbers. When safety is treated as secondary to the mission, the church misunderstands Christ’s priorities. Protecting children is not a distraction from the gospel, it is a direct expression of it. Any ministry that risks the innocent for the sake of influence has already drifted from Jesus’ heart.

In Action:
Refuse to excuse unsafe practices in the name of ministry success.

Journal Prompt:
Where might I be tempted to value results over responsibility?

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, shape my heart to reflect Yours. Help me value protection, obedience, and faithfulness above anything else. Lord help me to see things the way You do and always guide my path. In Jesus Name Amen

 Love Does Not Ignore Harm

men in costumes fighting on street

Real love protects the innocent, refusing to ignore harm, standing for truth, and courageously defending the innocent from anything that would celebrate wrongdoing or threaten their God-given dignity and safety.

“Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.” 1 Corinthians 13:6

Biblical love is not submissive, passive, soft or permissive. It does not justify, defend or excuse sin, minimize harm, or remain silent when others are injured, hurt or wounded. Love stands with truth, even when truth is painful, confining and uncomfortable. When we avoid difficult conversations under the banner of “love,” we misunderstand love itself. God’s love confronts in order to heal. Protecting children, setting boundaries, and reporting wrongdoing are acts of love rooted in truth and righteousness.

Thought to Ponder:
Redefine love according to God’s Word, not comfort.

Journal Prompt:
Where have I confused love with avoidance or silence?

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, teach me to love like You love, boldly, truthfully, and faithfully. Give me the strength when I need it to act, the fortitude and tenacity to endure even when I think I can’t. In Jesus Name Amen.

 Shepherds Are Called to Protect

shepherd

“Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy, and tell them, even the shepherds, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Shouldn’t the shepherds feed the sheep? You eat the fat. You clothe yourself with the wool. You kill the fatlings, but you don’t feed the sheep. You haven’t strengthened the diseased. You haven’t healed that which was sick. You haven’t bound up that which was broken. You haven’t brought back that which was driven away. You haven’t sought that which was lost, but you have ruled over them with force and with rigor. Ezekiel 34:2–4

God holds leaders to a higher standard because their choices affect many. Spiritual authority is never meant to shield wrongdoing but to guard those entrusted to their care. Ezekiel’s rebuke reminds us that neglecting protection is a form of failure before God. True shepherds intervene, confront, and act decisively to keep the flock safe. Leadership that prioritizes image over integrity abandons its calling. Faithful leadership reflects God’s heart by choosing protection over popularity.

Thoughts to Ponder
Pray for leaders to act with courage and accountability.

Journal Prompt:
How do I define faithful leadership according to Scripture rather than culture?

Closing Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, raise up shepherds who protect, guide, and lead with integrity. Lord give them Your heart, help them to see the way You see, and do and act the way You would. In Jesus Name Amen.

You Can’t Demand Respect While Giving None: The Silent Crisis Between Generations

man in gray suit

“You Can’t Demand Respect While Showing None: The Leadership Failure Fueling Today’s Cultural Divide”

Everywhere you look, people are demanding respect, but fewer people seem willing to give it. Many older voices insist younger generations must honor them simply because of age or position, yet too often those same voices model criticism, ignorance, arrogance, or dismissal toward others. This contradiction has quietly shaped the culture we now live in. When respect is demanded but not demonstrated, trust collapses, resentment grows, and entire generations begin rejecting the very idea of honor. If we want to understand why society feels increasingly divided and hostile, we must first examine the example set by those who have expected respect the most.

Respect has been something that has been spoken of as something that should automatically be given to our older generations. While Scripture does encourage honoring elders (You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:32). If we read the bible we can see that biblical honor is closely connected with character, humility, and wisdom. A serious problem arises when individuals demand respect based solely on age or authority while consistently showing disrespect, harshness, or disregard for others. When we allow it, respect becomes something demanded rather than modeled, it loses its moral authority.

As we grow up we learn far more from what we observe than from what they are told. If older leaders, whether parents, elders, teachers, community figures, or church leaders, speak about honor while acting with impatience, arrogance, ignorance, or hypocrisy, the message becomes confusing. This contradiction breeds cynicism. Young people begin to associate “respect” with control rather than mutual dignity. Over time, they may reject the entire concept because they see it as unfair or one-sided. Why wouldn’t they?

This continual pattern has contributed to the broader cultural breakdown of civility. When respect is not demonstrated by those asking for it, society begins to treat respect as optional or transactional. Public discourse becomes harsher, authority is distrusted, and generational relationships fracture. What should have been a chain of wisdom passed down becomes a cycle of resentment.

Biblically, leadership and maturity are meant to be examples. Older believers are called to model patience, gentleness, and integrity so that younger people can see respect lived out in action:

“ That older men should be temperate, sensible, sober minded, sound in faith, in love, and in perseverance, and that older women likewise be reverent in behavior, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good, that they may train the young wives to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sober minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that God’s word may not be blasphemed.Likewise, exhort the younger men to be sober minded. In all things show yourself an example of good works. In your teaching, show integrity, seriousness, and incorruptibility. Titus 2:2–7”

True authority grows from humility and consistency. When respect is both given and demonstrated, it restores trust and helps rebuild the moral fabric that healthy communities depend upon.

The truth is simple but uncomfortable: respect cannot be forced, demanded, or commanded into existence, it must be demonstrated. When those with age, authority, or influence fail to show humility, patience, and dignity toward others, they weaken the very standard they claim to defend. Over time, younger generations stop listening not because they hate wisdom, but because they rarely see true wisdom and respect practiced. If society is ever going to recover a culture of honor, it will not begin with louder demands for respect. It will begin when people, especially those in positions of maturity and leadership, choose to model the very respect they hope to receive. Real honor is not claimed; it is earned through consistent character.

But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

Light Exposes, It Does Not Hide

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” Ephesians 5:11

God’s word is a message of light, not concealment. The Bible calls believers to expose evil, not protect it through silence. When wrongdoing is hidden “for the sake of unity” or reputation, darkness becomes empowered and held up. God’s healing and justice begin with truth. Exposing harm is not divisive; it is redemptive. A church that walks in the light creates safety, accountability, and trust. Truth may be painful, but secrecy always destroys.

Thought to Ponder
Commit and walk in truth, even when it feels too costly.

Journal Prompt:
What fears tempt me to avoid bringing issues into the light?

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, remove fear from my heart and help me walk in truth and obedience even if it seems scary, impossible, or useless. Lord, put a hedge of protection around me giving me the strength to move forward. In Jesus Name Amen

God’s Heart for the Vulnerable

heartwarming brown bear mother and cub interaction

Defend the vulnerable and stand up for those who cannot stand alone. God calls His people not to overlook injustice, but to actively protect the weak and rescue those in danger.

“Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.”  Psalm 82:3–4

God consistently reveals His heart for those who cannot defend themselves. Children are not secondary to the mission of the church, they are central to God’s considerations. The Bible does not treat protection as optional compassion but as moral obedience. When the church overlooks warning signs or excuses harmful behavior, it contradicts God’s clear command to defend the vulnerable. True gospel ministry reflects God’s justice and care, not institutional convenience. Protecting children is not a distraction from ministry; it is an expression of it.

Application:
Choose to see protection as biblical obedience, not an inconvenience.

Thought to Ponder
Where might God be calling me to defend someone vulnerable more intentionally?

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, align my heart with Yours. Give me eyes to see the vulnerable and courage to act in love and truth. Give the strength to stand in the chaos and turmoil that these truths might cause. In Jesus Name Amen

Matthew 18:6

Bible book Matthew

But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea.

We can see here that Jesus’ words reveal how fiercely He protects children. Causing harm, confusion, or spiritual damage to the vulnerable is treated with utmost seriousness by God. This verse reminds us that safeguarding children is not optional compassion but holy responsibility. Faithfulness to Christ requires vigilance, courage, and decisive action to protect those He treasures most.

Just a Child

Dear Heavenly Father, give the words and knowledge to interact with everyone with boldness and without fear. In Jesus Name Amen

But I said, “Hold it, Master God! Look at me. I don’t know anything. I’m only a boy!” God told me, “Don’t say, ‘I’m only a boy.’ I’ll tell you where to go and you’ll go there. I’ll tell you what to say and you’ll say it. Don’t be afraid of a soul. I’ll be right there, looking after you.” God reached out, touched my mouth, and said, “Look! I’ve just put my words in your mouth—hand-delivered! See what I’ve done? I’ve given you a job to do. Jerimiah 1:6-10 (message)
