“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.

In these verses we can see that Jesus prepared His disciples for the reality that following Him will not always be accepted by the world. He reminded them they should not be surprised when they are rejected, opposed, or even persecuted because the world first rejected Him. When we are followers of Christ it means we belong to Him rather than needing to conform to the values of the world. When we encounter criticism or rejection because of our faith, and we will, we can be encouraged, knowing that Christ experienced the same suffering, remained sinless, and still walks with us through it.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, protect me from deception and ground me in your truth. Help so that I do not believe everything that makes me feel good. Help me to always be able to discern what is truth and what is deceptive. In Jesus Name Amen.

Enduring Faith: Finding Strength in Weariness

 In a world that feels exhausting and uncertain, God calls His people not just to start strong, but to endure faithfully. If you need renewed strength, peace, or perseverance, come to God honestly. He gives strength to the weary, and He never turns away those who come to Him.

One day George Muller began praying for five of his friends. After many months, one of them came to the Lord. Ten years later, two others were converted. It took 25 years before the fourth man was saved. Muller persevered in prayer until his death for the fifth friend, and throughout those 52 years he never gave up hoping that he would accept Christ! His faith was rewarded, for soon after Muller’s funeral the last one was saved.

Currently we are living in a time when many believers are not abandoning their faith, but they are tired. They’re tired of bad news and fighting the same battles. They feel like they are praying prayers that seem unanswered. They feel like they are carrying burdens that feel so much heavier than they used to. We are not in a season where the greatest threat to the Church is open persecution, it is out there; it is quiet exhaustion. Spiritual fatigue. A weariness of the soul.

The Bible is clear and honest about this reality. The Bible does not pretend that following God is easy or that faith eliminates struggle. Instead, it repeatedly calls God’s people to endure, to keep walking, trusting, obeying, and believing even when strength feels low. Endurance is not something that is flashy and perseverance rarely gets applause. Having faithfulness can look ordinary, unseen, and uncelebrated. However in God’s economy, these are the very qualities He honors.

Endurance is not the same as being thick headed or stubborn. Perseverance is not blind optimism. Biblical endurance is a settled confidence that comes that knowing God is still God, even when circumstances suggest otherwise. It is choosing obedience when our emotions are out of control and unstable. It is trusting God’s character when His timing is confusing.

Hebrews highlights that endurance is necessary, not optional, if we are to receive what God has promised. This means that blessing is at times on the other side of staying faithful longer than we thought we could. There are many believers who will quit not because God has failed, but because weariness has a habit of whispering lies: “This isn’t working,” “You’re alone,” “Nothing will change.” True endurance refuses to believe those lies. For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise. Hebrews 10:36

The bible also teaches us that our weariness does not mean weakness. Even strong believers can grow tired. 

  • Elijah collapsed under a tree: “He arose and ran for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there. But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree. Then he requested for himself that he might die, and said, “It is enough. Now, O Yahweh, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.” He lay down and slept under a juniper tree; and behold, an angel touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat!” He looked, and behold, there was at his head a cake baked on the coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank, and lay down again. Yahweh’s angel came again the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.” He arose, and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, God’s Mountain. 1 Kings 19:3-8”
  • David cried out in despair: “God, you have rejected us. You have broken us down. You have been angry. Restore us, again. You have made the land tremble. You have torn it. Mend its fractures, for it quakes. You have shown your people hard things. You have made us drink the wine that makes us stagger. You have given a banner to those who fear you, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. Psalm 60:1-4”
  • Paul spoke openly about being burdened beyond strength: “Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that, since you are partakers of the sufferings, so you are also of the comfort. For we don’t desire to have you uninformed, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia: that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life. Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead. 2 Corinthians 1:7-9”

Weariness is not failure, it is a reminder that we were never meant to carry life alone. When we bring our exhaustion, doubts, and struggles to Him, He meets us with grace and strength. In His presence we find rest for our souls and clarity for the path ahead. Instead of hiding our weakness, we can surrender it to God, trusting Him to restore our strength and renew our hope day by day. God does not shame us for being weary, but He does invite us to come to Him for renewal.

Isaiah emphasizes that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. As you can see it does not say they will avoid exhaustion, it says they will be renewed. Renewal assumes depletion. God never promised endless energy; He promised sufficient grace. But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary.  They will walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Faithfulness, especially in hard seasons, is a form of spiritual warfare. Every time you pray even when you don’t feel like it, forgive when it’s painful, show up when you’d rather hide, or trust God when answers don’t come, you are pushing back against despair. You are declaring that circumstances do not get the final word.

There are a lot of christians that have doubts that exist but they are still standing, but barely. Still believing, but quietly struggling. Still serving, but running on empty. And God wants to meet His people right there. Not with condemnation, but with strength. Not with pressure, but with hope.

Endurance is built over time. It grows as we fix our eyes on Christ rather than on the storm. Hebrews 12 reminds us to look to Jesus, who endured the cross, not because it was easy, but because He saw what was coming on the other side. Our endurance is fueled by the same truth: suffering is not the end of the story.

God is not asking you to carry tomorrow’s burden today. He is asking you to remain faithful today. To take the next step. To keep your heart soft. To refuse bitterness. To trust that He is still working, even when you cannot see it. God is forming something in His people right now. And those who endure will not be disappointed.

Ask Yourself:

  1. Where do you feel most weary in your walk with God right now?
  2. What has exhaustion tempted you to believe that may not be true?
  3. What would faithfulness look like for you this week, not someday?
  4. Are you drawing strength from God, or trying to endure in your own power?

Thought to Ponder:

Today, God is not calling you to run faster, He is calling you to stay faithful. If you are weary, this is your invitation to stop pretending you’re fine and bring your exhaustion to Him. If you’ve felt close to giving up, today is a moment to recommit, not with hype, but with humility.

Journaling Prompt:

  • What challenge am I facing right now that requires strength to continue?
  • When have I seen God help me endure something difficult in the past?
  • What small step can I take today instead of focusing on the entire journey?

Dear Heavenly Father, You see the weariness in Your people. You know the burdens we carry and the battles we have to fight in secret. I confess that I am tired, but I trust that You are faithful. Renew my strength where it has been drained. Restore hope where discouragement has taken root. Teach me to endure, not with my own power, but by Your Spirit. Help me to remain faithful today, trusting You with tomorrow. I fix my eyes on You, my source, my strength, and my hope. In Jesus Name Amen.

Endurance Through Trials: God’s Promise of Reward

Endurance proves that your faith is real. Trials may test you, but they also refine you. When you remain faithful through hardship, you demonstrate love for God and trust in His promises. The struggle is temporary, but the reward God prepares for the steadfast is eternal.

Blessed is a person who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to those who love him. James 1:12

Trials test more than patience, they reveal the strength of our faith. This verse reminds us that endurance is not wasted struggle. When believers remain faithful through hardship, God forms deeper character and stronger trust within them. Difficult seasons become places where faith is refined, not destroyed. The promise attached to perseverance is powerful: the crown of life given to those who love Him. Keep standing, even when the road feels long. Every moment of faithful endurance honors God and moves you closer to the reward He has prepared for those who remain steadfast. Endurance isn’t about being tough, it’s about trusting God through pressure. Trials don’t destroy real faith; they strengthen it. This verse reminds us that there is a reward for staying faithful, even when it’s hard. God is shaping your character, and what you’re learning now will carry you later.

Thought to Ponder:
 When things get hard, remind yourself that God is building something eternal.

Nurturing Faith: The Unseen Growth Process

A lot of times God does His greatest work where we see the least progress, quietly growing faith beneath the surface while we simply remain faithful.

He said, “God’s Kingdom is as if a man should cast seed on the earth, and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, though he doesn’t know how. Mark 4:26–27

Jesus compares the kingdom of God to a seed growing quietly in the soil. We can see in these verses that the farmer plants the seed and then waits while growth happens beyond his control. Faith often develops the same way, slowly, quietly, and sometimes unnoticed. God works beneath the surface, shaping hearts, deepening character, and strengthening trust over time. Do not despise small beginnings or slow progress. Spiritual growth is not forced; it is nurtured. Stay faithful in prayer, Scripture, and obedience. While you sleep and rise each day, God continues His patient work, bringing life where you once only planted seeds. God is still working in ways you can’t see yet. Faithfulness means trusting the process even when progress feels hidden.

Thought to Ponder:
 Be patient with yourself and trust God’s timing.

Journaling Prompt:

Where in your life might God be growing something slowly that you cannot yet see, and how can you remain faithful and patient while trusting His work beneath the surface?

Prayer:
 Dear Heavenly Father, help me trust that You are working even when I can’t see results. Lord give me patience even if I can not see or understand what You are doing in and around me. In Jesus Name Amen.

Faithful Growth: Nurturing Your Spiritual Journey

Tomorrow is the birthplace of many fears, yet it is also the place where God’s faithfulness is already waiting. Anxiety pulls tomorrow’s trouble into today. Jesus reminds us that today already has enough to hold. God gives grace one day at a time.

God’s Renewal: Hope in Times of Tiredness

Even the strongest believers grow tired. Faith does not remove exhaustion, it gives us strength to keep going when our strength is gone. God does some of His deepest work in us during the seasons when we feel the most worn down.

Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16

There are seasons when the body feels exhausted and the heart grows weary. This verse reminds us not to lose heart. Though our outer strength fades, God is quietly renewing our inner life day by day. Being tired does not mean God has left you; most times it means you have been faithfully pressing on. Being tired doesn’t disqualify you from God’s plan. Bring your fatigue honestly before the Lord. Let His presence restore your spirit. Even when you feel drained, God is still strengthening what matters most, your faith, your hope, and your eternal perspective.God is renewing your spirit. He tends to work best through people who know they need Him. Endurance grows when we depend on God’s strength, not our own.

 Invite God into your weakness today.

Trusting God to Go Before You To Make Your Path Straight

When the path looks crooked and the way ahead unclear, remember the Lord goes before you. He will make the rough places smooth and keep your feet from slipping.


“For he shatters the doors of bronze and cuts in two the bars of iron.” Psalm 107:16

Focus:
When we are in the middle of it surrounded by opposition and chaos it does not mean God has withdrawn His care and guidance. We can see that He is inviting us to walk more closely in His righteousness rather than under our own power. Sometimes God asks us to walk toward something we cannot yet see clearly. The obstacles can look like mountains, locked doors, or barriers that we do not see a way to pass through it. Yet God promises, “I will go before you.” You may not know what is going to happen tomorrow, but you can be sure who is already there. Trust God with the road ahead no matter how ruff, uneven or rocky it can be. He can make a way where you see no way, open paths that appear impossible, and prepare pave the path ahead of you.

Journal Prompt:
 What obstacle do I need to place in God’s hands today? Write about what it would look like to ask God to lead you instead of relying on self-protection or your own wisdom.

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, lead me today, guide me through the chaos and direct me the ways you want me to go. Make Your way unmistakably straight before me. I release my path and day into Your hands. In Jesus Name Amen.

Overcoming Fear with God’s Promises

When your strength runs out and fear begins to rise, remember this truth: God does His greatest work in our weakest moments.

Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

When weakness weighs heavy on your heart, God speaks comfort and strength. In this verse, He tells His people not to fear because He is with them. Our strength will fail, but God’s power never does. He promises to strengthen, help, and uphold those who trust Him. Weakness is not the end of the story, it tends to be where God’s strength becomes most visible. When you feel tired, uncertain, or overwhelmed, lean on Him. The same God who formed the universe holds you with His righteous hand, giving courage, endurance, and hope for each step forward. God does not shame weakness, He strengthens it. Fear loses power when God’s promises are spoken aloud.

Embracing Our Limits: God’s Grace in Weakness

 God understands our weakness better than we understand it ourselves.

God does not expect endless output from fragile bodies. He remembers your limits even when you forget them. He remembers that we are dust. He is not surprised by our struggles, failures, or limitations. Tiredness is not rebellion, it’s humanity. When you push past your God-given boundaries, exhaustion multiplies. God’s compassion meets you when you slow down and accept that you are dust held by grace, not machines driven by pressure. God’s mercy meets us in our weakness and gently lifts us forward. This truth frees us from shame and invites us to rely more deeply on His grace. When we remember that God understands our frailty, we can approach Him honestly, trusting that His patience and love are greater than our shortcomings.

In the verse David is praying in the morning while people who hate him are watching, hoping he will mess up. We can see that he does not first ask God to destroy his enemies. Instead, he asks God to guide him according to God’s own goodness, not David’s own ideas. “Make your way straight” means David wants God to make the right path obvious so he will not stumble or give his enemies a reason to accuse him. The verse teaches that when we feel attacked or pressured, our first need is clear direction from God, not an easier life.

Transforming Struggles into Strength: A Spiritual Guide

Growth is usually not comfortable. Discipline, correction, and perseverance will feel painful in the moment, but God uses them to shape who we become. If life feels hard right now, this doesn’t mean God is absent. It may mean He’s creating something strong in you. Endurance today becomes peace and maturity tomorrow.

Loving Like Jesus: Truth, Grace, and Transformation

Jesus never separated love from truth. He protected the broken, confronted sin, and offered redemption. His love restored lives because it was rooted in obedience to the Father.

Scripture: John 1:14

Currently when people talk about love, it usually sounds like this: “If you really love me, you’ll accept everything I do.” In most cases love is often defined as agreement, affirmation, and silence. But if we look at Jesus, we see a very different kind of love, one that is deeper, stronger, and far more life-giving.

Jesus didn’t love people by telling them whatever they wanted to hear. He showed love to them by telling them the truth they needed to hear. “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say? Luke 6:46

We can see in the Bible that Jesus came full of grace and truth. Not grace or truth. Not truth without grace. Both. Always together. That balance is what made His love so powerful. Grace made people feel safe in His presence. Truth made them want to change.

Take a look at how Jesus treated broken people. He welcomed them. He ate with them. He protected them from shame. But He never pretended that sin didn’t matter. At no point did He ever say, “Stay exactly the same.” His love always moved people toward freedom, healing, and obedience to God.

That’s important for us to understand, especially as we are people surrounded by a culture that says love should never challenge anything. Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned. In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber. (2 Peter 2:2-3)

Jesus’ love was not weak. It was courageous.

He loved people enough to confront them. He loved people enough to say the hard things. He loved people enough to risk being misunderstood. Because of this there were times that some people walked away from Him because of it. But Jesus never watered down truth just so He could keep followers.

That kind of love is rare today. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. (Hebrews 12:11)

Throughout our lives we will often face pressure to choose sides: be loving or be truthful. Be kind or be biblical. But Jesus showed us that real love does not compromise truth, and real truth is never spoken without love.

Loving like Jesus means caring more about someone’s future than your current comfort right now.

That’s hard, especially with friends. It’s easier to stay quiet when someone is making choices you know aren’t good. It’s easier to avoid awkward conversations. It’s easier to go along with the crowd than to stand out. Understand that silence isn’t always loving. Sometimes silence is just fear wearing a friendly face.

Loving like Jesus doesn’t mean being rude or judgmental. It means being honest with humility. It means listening before speaking. It means checking your heart before correcting someone. And it means being willing to be patient, even when change doesn’t happen overnight.

Jesus never rushed people, but He also never lied to them.

He met people where they were, but He didn’t leave them there.

That’s the model for us.

This also applies to how Jesus loves you. Sometimes we like Jesus’ comfort more than His correction. We love when He forgives us, encourages us, and reminds us of our worth. But when His Word challenges our habits, relationships, or attitudes, it can make us feel uncomfortable. That doesn’t mean He stopped loving you. It means He loves you enough to grow you.

If you are never challenged by Jesus, you’re probably not listening closely. His love always calls us higher. It invites us to live differently, think differently, and choose differently, not because He wants to control us, but because He knows what leads to life.

If you want to love like Jesus it will mean learning how to love people who disagree with you. Jesus didn’t cancel people. He didn’t insult them. He didn’t compromise the truth either. He stayed grounded, calm, and faithful. He trusted God with every outcome. That’s a challenge for our generation.

You don’t need to win arguments to love like Jesus. You don’t need to be loud to be bold. You just need to stay rooted in truth and motivated by grace. But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. (James 4:6)

So here’s the real question for today:
Are you loving people the way Jesus loved, or the way culture tells you to?

Jesus’ love doesn’t just make people feel accepted.
It makes people feel invited to repentance, healing, and real life.

And when we learn to love like that, we don’t just represent Jesus well, we become part of how He changes the world. As His followers, we are called to reflect that same balance, firm in truth, rich in mercy, unwavering in hope.

Joshua faced an uncertain future, yet God gave a clear command: be strong and courageous. This verse reminds us that courage is not the absence of fear but the presence of trusting God. The reason Joshua could move forward was not his own strength, it was because of God’s promise: “The Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” When life feels overwhelming, remember that God’s presence goes before you. Walk boldly in obedience, face challenges with faith, and trust that the God who calls you forward will never abandon you along the way. Courage isn’t the absence of fear, it’s obedience in spite of it. God’s command to be courageous is always tied to His presence.

Revelation 21:4 – The Promise of a Tearless Eternity

One of the few verses in the Bible that captures the hope of heaven as vividly as Revelation 21:4. This verse found near the end of Scripture, is a passage that shines as a beacon of comfort, offering a vision of what awaits Christians when God makes all things new. It is a verse that has carried countless hearts through grief, sustaining the weary in seasons of suffering, reminding us all that pain will not have the final word.

The Context of Revelation 21:4

If you want to fully understand this verse, we need to learn it within its context. Revelation is a book of the word given to the Apostle John while exiled on the island of Patmos. Throughout this book, John records dramatic and often difficult images of judgment, tribulation, and spiritual warfare. But as the book nears its close, the tone shifts dramatically.

In Revelation 21, John describes the vision of the New Heaven and New Earth. The old, broken order of creation has passed away, and God ushers in His eternal kingdom. The New Jerusalem descends from heaven, and God dwells with His people in perfect fellowship. At this point, in this breathtaking vision, John records one of the most tender promises in Scripture:

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes…”

This is not some elaborate poem—it is a declaration of the radical transformation that awaits all who belong to Christ.

What does it all mean

1. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes”

This is a deeply personal image. God Himself is pictured as gently wiping away the tears from His children’s faces. It’s not because all sorrow will end; it’s because God actively comforts His people. The intimacy of this moment reflects His love and care.

It tells us that every tear we’ve shed—there is no difference between grief, betrayal, disappointment, or physical pain—it matters to Him. In Psalm 56:8, David declares that God keeps our tears in a bottle, symbolizes that He knows showing His compassion. Revelation 21:4 shows us that those tears will one day be permanently wiped away, never to return.

2. “There will be no more death, or mourning, or crying, or pain”

With the following four experiences—death, mourning, crying, and pain—it summarizes the brokenness of life in our fallen world. Ever since the fall of Adam and Eve, humanity has been plagued by these realities. But in God’s eternal kingdom, they will cease forever.

This isn’t just an simple modification of life as we know it—it’s the complete removal of suffering. Death will no longer hold dominion, mourning will no longer shadow our hearts, and pain will no longer weigh down our souls.

3. “For the old order of things has passed away”

Why does the suffering end? It is because He proclaims the old order—the world tainted by sin, death, and decay—will be replaced by God’s new creation. Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” This renewal that has been promised to individuals in salvation, will one day extend to all of creation.

Why This Verse Matters Today

It can be easy to degrade Revelation 21:4 to the “someday” category, seeing it only as a far-off hope. But its power is not limited to the future—it speaks into our present lives with profound encouragement.

1. Comfort in Grief

When we stand at a graveside or walk through seasons of mourning, Revelation 21:4 highlights that death is not the end. The grief, anguish, sorrow and pain of today will one day give way to eternal joy. We can be confident that those who die in Christ will experience this tearless eternity.

2. Strength in Suffering

For those of us that struggle with chronic illness, mental anguish, or deep personal pain, this Revelation 21:4 provides strength to endure. Our present sufferings are real, but they are temporary. Paul echoes this in Romans 8:18: “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

3. Hope in Brokenness

When we look around this world often feels irreparably broken. Wars, injustice, poverty, and loss can overwhelm us. But Revelation 21:4 assures us that the brokenness we see is not permanent. God is actively working toward a day when His kingdom will bring perfect peace and restoration.

Living in Light of Revelation 21:4

How should this promise shape our lives today?

1. Live with Eternal Perspective

Because we know and promised that sorrow, pain, and death are temporary, it helps us endure trials with faith and hope. It lifts our eyes from the present moment to the eternal reality ahead.

2. Extend Compassion

Knowing that God Himself cares enough to wipe away tears should inspire us to reflect His compassion. We can be His hands and feet, comforting those who mourn and walking alongside those in pain.

3. Share the Hope of Christ

Revelation 21:4 is a promise reserved for those who belong to Christ. It should stir in us a desire to share the gospel so others may also experience the hope of this tearless eternity.

4. Anticipate with Joy

This promise should not only comfort us but also fill us with joy and anticipation. Just as a bride eagerly awaits her wedding day, we too can eagerly look forward to the day when Christ makes all things new.

A Sample of What’s Coming

Daily, we can experience glimpses of Revelation 21:4. You can see God bring peace in the midst of turmoil, when He comforts us in grief, or when we witness healing and restoration, we are experiencing samples of His eternal kingdom. These moments are reminders that a greater fulfillment is yet to come.

Always remember that the ultimate promise is the complete removal of sorrow and pain awaits us in eternity. This is not wishful thinking; it is the assured destiny of all who place their faith in Christ.

Conclusion

Revelation 21:4 is not just a verse about how great heaven is but it’s a verse about hope. This is God’s promise that the brokenness, despair, and sickness of this world is not final. Every tear will be wiped away, every sorrow will end, and every wound will be healed.

When we are walking through loss, this verse offers comfort. For those enduring suffering, it offers strength. For those discouraged by the state of the world, it offers hope. And for all of us, it points to the incredible love of a God who not only redeems but also restores.

So let us hold tightly to this promise: the day is coming when the old order of pain and death will pass away, and God Himself will dwell with His people, wiping every tear from our eyes.

Dear Heavenly Father, be my guide and protect me from these things that surround me that I do not understand or that influence me in ways that are not from You. Lord I want to be and act as close to You as You’ve always wanted Your children to be. Lord give the strength to stand against the evil in this world, the distractions and influences. Help me to not fear and worry about these issues that continue to affect everything around us. Thank you Lord for Your protection, direction, and love. In Jesus Name Amen

God doesn’t guide the loud, the proud, or the self-sufficient, He leads the humble who are willing to follow. Lay down your pride, and watch how clearly His path unfolds before you.

📖He will guide the humble in justice. He will teach the humble his way. Psalm 25:9


God delights in guiding the humble. Those who surrender pride and seek Him sincerely are not left wandering. Humility opens our hearts to God’s instruction and aligns our steps with His truth. When direction feels unclear, resist self-reliance. God promises to teach those who are teachable. Bow your heart before God, trust His wisdom, and allow Him to lead you gently. God teaches the humble not just where to go, but how to walk faithfully with Him. When we approach Him with openness, He leads us faithfully.

The One True King

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Unshakeable

This Psalm reveals the futility of humanity resisting God’s authority. Nations may rage, leaders may rebel, and the world may try to reject His rule, yet God remains sovereign and unshaken. The psalm points to the power and kingship of Jesus Christ, the Anointed One, who will reign with justice and truth. It is both a warning and an invitation: turn from pride, submit to God, and place your trust in Him. True peace, security, and blessing are found not in human power, but in surrendering to the Lord.

The Chosen One

“The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed,” is considered a royal psalm that focuses on the sovereignty of God and the victory of His chosen king. It tells us of the rebellion against God’s authority, His divine intervention, and ultimately the establishment of God’s righteous rule.

Defiance

It begins showcasing how the nations and rulers will conspire against the Lord and His anointed one, the king whom God has set on Zion, His holy hill. The writer is in awe at the defiance of these rebellious nations, wondering why they would gather and plot against the Lord and His chosen ruler. We see this again when John is seen in Revelation 19:19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army.

Comic Releif

God responded to this opposition laughing from heaven, and mocking their pointless attempts to overthrow His authority. God proclaims that His son is the anointed king on Zion, giving Him dominion over the nations. Which was told and heard in Matthew 3:17 behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

Though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.

Paul’s testimony reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace. Before encountering Christ, he actively opposed the very faith he would later preach. Yet God’s mercy transformed his life and gave him a new purpose. This passage reveals the depth of Christ’s love and His willingness to forgive even the greatest sins. When we recognize our need for a Savior, we discover that God’s grace is greater than our past failures. Jesus came into the world to save sinners, offering hope, forgiveness, and new life to all who trust in Him.

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;  but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

These verses paint a picture of a person who chooses God’s way over the influence of the ungodly. Rather than following sinful advice or embracing worldly values, they delight in God’s Word and meditate on it continually. As a result, they become spiritually strong and fruitful, like a tree planted beside a flowing stream that never lacks nourishment. Even through difficult seasons, they remain rooted, steadfast, and productive. This passage reminds believers that true blessing, stability, and spiritual growth come from a close and consistent relationship with God and His truth.

Hundreds Of Farmers Stay Silent During Auction So Family Can Buy Back Their Family Farm

This is a story from from 2019 that will give you hope for humanity as hundreds of farmers in Nebraska stood in silence during an auction so that a young man could buy back his family’s farm. Credit: Cornwall Holiday Guide David’s family had been farmers for decades but, unfortunately, an ancestor decided to sell the 80-acre farm. This made the entire family upset but David was determined to win it back again. When the land went up for sale again through an auction, David and his father decided that they would save up money to buy the land back. On the day of the auction, more than 200 farmers were present. David thought there was no way they would have enough money to outbid the other farmers. But the farmers did something nobody was expecting.  

After David and his father placed their bid, not a single person spoke up. As it turns out, those 200 farmers did not attempt to bid because they wanted the family to get their land back. After many attempts to solicit another bid, the Auctioneer took a break. Three times they took breaks, and each time everyone remained completely silent. Eventually, the auctioneer had to slam down the gavel and give David and his father the winning bid. “I’ve had two profoundly humbling days in my life,” David said. “The first was the day my son was born. The second was that unforgettable day at the auction house.”

This 10-Year-Old Saved Up for a 3D Printer and Built a Business From Scratch

Most 10-year-olds spend their free time playing video games, but Ernesto Gael Hernandez is busy running his own 3D printing business and dreaming of buying his mom a house someday. Ernesto / Credit: KRGV News What began as a fun way to make custom keychains for classmates has quickly grown into a thriving small business for the young entrepreneur from Brownsville, Texas. Now, with multiple printers running at once and products being sold in a local store, Ernesto is already turning creativity into success while most kids his age are still deciding what game to play after school.

Inside a small workshop at home, Ernesto spends his days designing and printing colorful creations including keychains, whistles, can openers, and fidget-style items meant to help people dealing with anxiety, ADHD, and stress. “I would wake up early and set something to print while I’m at school or after school,” Ernesto said. “Before football practice, I would also print something.” The idea first took shape just a few months ago when Ernesto told his mother he wanted to earn money through 3D printing. Instead of simply buying him a machine, she encouraged him to work and save for it himself. “My mom said that I could save up my chore money and buy my own 3D printer with my money,” Ernesto explained.

After saving $500, Ernesto bought his first printer and launched Prestige 3D Labs. He taught himself how to create custom designs by watching online tutorials and quickly realized there was real demand for his products. “I saw tutorials on YouTube on how to edit and make custom keychains for other people,” he said. Business has grown fast. Ernesto says he has already made around $1,500 in profit, and demand became so strong that he partnered with a local Brownsville clothing store called Jungle to help sell his creations. “The business is called Jungle and I wanted to sell my product there,” Ernesto said.

“I told them if they wanted to sell my product.” Now, three printers run regularly to keep up with orders coming in from across the Rio Grande Valley. For Ernesto’s mother, Samantha Quezada, the business has become more than just a way for her son to earn money. It has also become valuable time spent together. “It’s a handful, but honestly I enjoy that we get to do it together,” Quezada said. “It is part of our quality time.” She admits balancing school, football practice, and a growing business can sometimes be stressful, but she believes the experience is teaching Ernesto lessons that will last a lifetime.

“As tiring as it may be, sometimes it’s a little bit stressful. Time management is hard,” she said. “But it’s been one thing that we enjoy doing. We get to do it together and it keeps him on the right path.” And while Ernesto is already enjoying success at an age when many kids are just beginning to explore hobbies, his motivation is surprisingly heartfelt. “I just like doing it because I want to invest in a house for my mom and me when I grow older,” Ernesto said.

Dear Heavenly Father, as this is read give understanding and conviction to those reading this. May there be understanding where there needs to be understanding and conviction where there needs to be conviction. Please soften the hearts of those reading this and open them to receive Your message. In Jesus Name Amen


Over the last few days I have seen all of the fighting, the name calling, insults, character bashing and I wonder why. We as Christians and human beings are told that we should not return evil with evil: 1 Peter 3: 9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

That is one definition of Respect. With that said I do not blame any of the uncertainties that there are out there. I will just say one thing and that is CAKE, we all know what happened. But we have been commanded: Romans 12: 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.

I know that when we observe the respect that we are expected to give others yet receive disrespect in every manner that you can imagine, it gets disheartening. We are still told that 1 Peter 23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

We should always respond with meekness: Matthew 5: 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.

We have been instructed to follow in the footsteps that Jesus gave us, to walk on the path that he took. 1 Peter 21: 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

There are two things that we should never forget, his commandments to LOVE one another: Matthew 22: 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. And with that said never forget: Luke 6: 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you. Jesus did not say these things were acceptable but he did say we need to Love everyone. Continue……

The King is Coming

They shouted “Hosanna” like a King was arriving, but didn’t realize a Savior was surrendering. Don’t just celebrate Jesus for what you want Him to do, honor Him for who He truly is.

When Jesus entered Jerusalem as a humble King, and not as the political ruler people expected. He came as the Savior they desperately needed. The crowd was excited and praised Him, but most of them misunderstood His mission. If we are honest with ourselves we can do the same, celebrating Jesus while resisting His true authority in our lives. Sometimes we will overwhelmingly proclaim Jesus until it makes us uncomfortable or it gets in the way of something we want to do. This week, Easter week, begins with honest reflection: do we welcome Jesus fully, or only partially? True worship starts with surrender, looking past the end of our nose to see what is beyond, not just praise.

 Take 10 minutes to invite Jesus into every area of your life, especially the ones you’ve held back.

Journal Prompt:
 Where in my life am I praising Jesus, but not fully surrendering to Him?

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I welcome You not just as Savior, but as King over every part of my life. Remove my misunderstandings, illusions,and shame.  Please help me see You clearly, distinctively, and understandably. Teach me to surrender fully and follow You wholeheartedly. In Jesus Name Amen.

*Hosanna:

  • The word Hosanna comes from Hebrew: “hoshia na”, which means “save us now”, “please save.” or “help us, we pray”.Over time, especially in worship, it also became a joyful expression meaning “salvation has come!” or “praise to the Savior.”
